Resident shithole.

Mithias the vampire stood silently. The woman didn't answer. No one else was there, yet their scents lingered. He knew this room had been filled with life not so long ago, at least it seemed so. Now they were gone. His black brow furrowed ever so slightly in frustration at the lack of answers. Was he really needed for some universe-saving mission? ...hardly. Three portals stood open like gaping mouths.

Finally convinced there was no other exit, Mithias chose at random the zombie apocalypse. As he walked through, his boots found pavement. A pleasant afternoon light greeted him as did the contrasting odor of smoke and decaying garbage. His yellow-gold eyes found the corpse of civilization before him, buildings abandoned, vehicles left askew in the streets, and not a soul nearby to make a sound.

It was depressing really, a vision he had hoped to never witness in his own world, the bitter end of humanity. Wind blew some trash around, and Mithias began walking. Inspection of graffiti warnings and billboards gave alarming information. Mithias swallowed, fear creeping up even the back of his neck. Was every single human on earth dead? Was this all a metaphor for some spiritual lesson he had not learned in life? He trudged on, thankfully unaffected by the need for things like sleep and water.

Some time later, a movement in the distance caught the vampire's keen eye. It was a human, no... it was a zombie. A pale-skinned woman wandered with whitened eyes in front of a rundown Walmart building. A sign for ammunition still hung in the window. Mithias focused on the zombie woman as he approached curiously. Instinctively, he avoided making any sound with his supernatural grace and came right up to her. She didn't appear to see him, didn't react. Baring his fangs he sniffed and sneered at her in disgust, anguish in his eyes. What a waste. Her life was gone and her blood was completely putrid. It seemed the zombies didn't have a taste for vampire.

Passing her, Mithias entered the broken and ransacked store. Tearing into the guncases caused some noise, but he was now armed to the teeth. ... Hell, it never hurt.

Back on the street, he continued to walk. If normal, living humans still existed in this world, he had to find them. He had to find out what had happened and protect them, and eventually, he'd have to drink. He headed at random toward the group that had a girl in a monowheel and someone around 10' tall in full armor. At some point he would be approaching the human compound, having been led by a faint scent of warm blood.
Alright. I shall pick a location tonight. Should I presume no reply will be posted from Lydia?
@PKMNB0Y Ah ok. Ty. I will pick a world, but I have to say, conflict off the bat sounds fun. Mithias knows how to get along with humans. He'll manage someway.
From deep within the peaceful rest of sleep Mithias became aware of a soft feminine voice speaking to him. All was blessed blackness, soothing unconsciousness, yet it was smartly interrupted by a relentless call. Incessant, it would not let him dwell in dreams any longer.

Golden eyes cracked open to a blinding light. The brightly lit room was harsh on a vampire, yet not damaging. Mithias brought up a hand to shade himself as he mentally scrambled to remember where he was and what was going on. Was it day? Why was the last thing he remembered being at his father's home in Hawaii? Had he been hit in the head?

Realizing he wasn't under attack, at least not any longer, Mithias sat up and beheld the women in the white habit. If this was a church, it wasn't causing him any harm to be there. Odd... Mithias awoke in complete confusion, yet his nature was to be passive. Tall, lean, yet muscular, he looked like a beast with terrifying intelligence. Long soft hair fell over his shoulders and a clawed hand gripped the edge of the stone slab he had been resting on. Mithias realized with some relief that his weapons were still on him.

"I profusely apologize for bringing you here," she stated... The Lady Lydia went on with her explanation quickly, a edge of rush in her words that she was probably unaware of.

Mithias followed her explanation with ease, although he didn't yet buy any of it. As she spoke, he looked around, verifying how 'real' everything seemed, trying to remember where he had been only moments ago and actively denying the illusion that seemed to be all around him now. However denial wasn't making any of it disappear.

He stood up, black jacket falling in place to hide all but the tips of twin blades at his sides, and he looked at the woman. Whether or not any of this was true, or if his mind had been hijacked by his sire, or even if he was dead, he'd have to find out later. For now, he would go along with it. Immortals generally had time to be patient. Then he asked her, "Why did you pick me?"
Name: Mithias
Age: 700
Appearance: Yellow eyes, nearly white skin, long back hair.

World of Origin: Blood Compact/Hell's Coffee Lounge

Personality:

Distantly loving and peaceful. Lonely. Highly values 'family.' Loyal to a fault. Clings to morality but certainly walks the line. He has to drink blood and this of course causes moral conflict. He is protective of those who cannot defend themselves, particularly humans who usually get the short end of the deal with vampires. Although he is actually very pretty to look at, he knows he doesn't look human and more often terrifies mortals.

History:

Mithias was oblivious in his own world, fighting the eternal war between vampires and humans with the goal of establishing and maintaining balance between them. Some might say he was merely perpetuating the war itself and delaying the true peace that would come from one side gaining final victory. He had been at rest in his father's house when he awoke to find himself in a completely different environment with Lydia. he knew he had enemies on both sides but he never suspected...

Long ago he had been a Templar Knight, one of the last, and watched as all of humanity seemed to revolt against itself as the Inquisition hit. He owes the one that turned him, the one who in essence freed him from such mortal concerns and allowed him to save his former wife and child. Mithias has ever since been vigilant against corruption whenever an organization grows too big and powerful. He rejects blind faith. He entertained himself with protecting his descendants from the shadows for many generations, and since has become considerate of all humans, retaining a sense of kinship with them.

Eventually humans developed sufficient technology to potentially destroy the masquerade and threaten vampires directly and war broke out. One insane oldblood vampire named Magnus rose up to unite the vampires and take over, but he failed. Mithias had joined the resistance and had a hand in creating the "Soldier" organization which maintained the peace post-war. But the battle never truly ends.

Vampires:

Each bloodline has unique attributes. Mithias is harmed by Christian/Jewish holy things, but that's not always true with other vampires. He's ok with silver and can endure sun, but the light does dampen his senses and slow him down. He can heal rapidly and recover from injuries that would be lethal to a living creature. He doesn't technically need to breathe to survive, but he would probably pass out without oxygen eventually. Blood fuels his strength, power, healing, speed, enhanced senses. If you pierce his heart, he'll "die" but he might heal back and rise up again once you remove the object from his heart. You'd have to also chop off his head and/or burn his body to prevent that.

Abilities:

Mithias' mainstay defining ability is his complete control of his own mind. He cannot be spoken to telepathically, affected by illusions, mentally controlled, emotionally manipulated, or have his mind read in any way by any supernatural being. His mind is stealthed on the psyonic radar, a black void. In shielding himself this way, he has also negated his own ability to telepathically read others.

Mithias has some limited psychic control over heat. Think firestarter, pyrokinesis, but he can also remove heat from a substance. This power requires willpower and focus, and the amount he can do with it depends on how much focus and intent he can muster. He is easily capable of putting out a candle from across the room. He could potentially walk through a burning building without being burned, depending on how much of an inferno it is in there. He could suddenly redirect a flame thrower's fire to save his or another's life, melt a computer's motherboard, light his swords on fire to fight, generate light with a flame in his palm, ignite something flammable nearby, keep a person warm in a cold environment. He's not going to be able to stop an explosion, because it occurs too fast, but maybe he could shield off some of the heat from it if he's that close. Mithias could potentially be capable of creating a fireball or wings made of flame if he's extremely motivated and has fed recently enough.

Other: Mithias is fast and strong, but not as strong as a lot of other vampires. His bloodline is big on mental abilities and less physical. That being said, he has mastered dual-wielding swords and can fight using technique and speed mostly.
Woot. I may even get a post up tonight.
Out from in between the buildings, a child came running at the group like she was running for her life. She looked like she was wearing a white dress with long flowey... sleeves? No, behind her were two white wings, small as was her whole frame. She tried to jump and flap those wings, but it was clear she was too tired to take to the air. Stumbling on her feet she kept running again, looking to anyone to help her. "Help me! Please! Take me away from them. Don't let them get me again!" She ran up to them out of the warzone, dead bloodknights behind her. Tears sparkled in her cyan blue eyes.
@PKMNB0Y Ok. I added the pyrokinesis information. Apologies for it not being edited for smooth reading, but it does contain the information as discussed.

@PKMNB0Y In the interest of courtesy, should I post my CS in the chars tab and make an intro post in the summoning room?
