My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

I prefer the organized missions or what have you, but that's because I have OCD tendencies. But whichever is good, just as long as the game doesn't drag.

Also, I'm flying out tomorrow for a mini vacation and won't be back until Monday evening, so today is the last day I'll be able to make a post for 4 days.
Amelia watched as numerous plates were placed on their table. Her stomach grumbled in response to the various scents, although she had learned to just ignore it and wait to eat whenever she could. She’d lost maybe 5 or 10 pounds since her arrival, but it was also probably due to the insane amount of walking she did every day.

Andrew put some of his food on a spare plate for Amelia, and she thanked him before eagerly taking the first bite.

"Mm, this is delicious," she said as she pointed to the food with her fork. Despite her long day, Amelia was glad that she had walked into this one specific bar, even if her break from the real world lasted only half an hour. Moreover, she now had two additional acquaintances at her disposal. Maybe they could even become potential customers.
Sounds like a plan.
“Oh, okay. See you later!”

Amy stood by the door for few moments listening for any signs of someone else’s presence in the hallway, but she closed the door once she was met with only silence save for Grayson's departing footsteps. She then walked back to where the mess of her personal belongings lay scattered on the floor. Maybe she should step out and look for the device herself. After all, who knew how long Grayson would take.

Being careful to avoid tripping over the mess, Amy reached for her armor. She felt around for the headpiece, and once she located it, she detached the goggles to put them on. She wasn't necessarily too fond of the device, but they allowed her to see, so she didn't have much room to complain. Amy adjusted the strap so that the goggles were a snug fit on her, and she blinked a couple of times to get used to her sight. She looked around her room to see it for the first time, and her first thought was that it seemed to be a bit cramped. It's not like their crew had a large amount of members, so having multiple beds within such small space was unnecessary. But she didn't make the rules—she merely broke them.

Amy then decided to head outside, a bit curious as to what the rest of the ship looked like.
Or they can subscribe to it...
"Oh—wow...thank you," Amelia replied, grabbing the note and quickly deciding that she might as well have a drink. When someone was being that generous, it was best to just take their offer. The young woman then quietly excused herself from the table so that the two men could resume their chat in peace. She took her time walking to the bar, noticing more than a couple of pairs of eyes following her as she made her way across the floor. But Amelia ignored them all, pretending that she was having a hard time deciding what drink she would get, although in reality she already knew as she almost always ordered the same thing.

Amelia approached the bartender, leaning forward to rest her arms on the bar top so he could hear her over the various noises on the floor. "May I have a whiskey sour, please?" she said, placing the note in front of him.

The man looked at her for a brief moment before taking the money. "Coming right up," he replied with little to no emotion.

As she waited, Amelia turned her attention to the TV, not so much for what little entertainment it provided, but to appear somewhat busy so she'd be left alone. About two minutes passed before the bartender brought her her drink alongside with the change.

"Thank you."

Amelia grabbed the glass in one hand and the change in the other. She walked back to the table and once more, noticed a few eyes on her. The whole experience made her feel uneasy, but she shook it off and figured she was just tired. After all, she wasn't back home, and hadn't been for some time now.

"Here, thanks." Amelia placed the change in front of Owl and walked around to take her seat, simultaneously taking a sip of her drink and nodding in approval.

"Fair enough," Amelia casually replied, leaning to the side to put her bag down on the ground. Just then, she caught a quick glimpse of Owl's shotgun. She eyed the weapon for a brief moment before sitting back up again, displaying one hell of a poker face. Maybe she was getting good at hiding her emotions, or maybe she was so desensitized to guns at this point that the sight of one didn't phase her the least bit. She cast a glance at Andrew who was making his way back to the table.

"Where's my drink?" she joked with him as he sat down, honestly not in the mood for alcohol at the moment. For some reason, she had the feeling that she wasn't wanted at their table, despite the fact that she'd been invited to sit down. Maybe it was Andrew's tense body language that put her off, but if she indeed was in the way of the two men conducting business, then they wouldn't have been so welcoming to begin with.

Name: Jessica Lucas

Role: The Martial

D.O.B. 10/31/2005 (26 yo)

Height: 5'5

Weight: 123 lbs

Nationality: Canadian

Appearance:

Background: Jessica was born and raised in Toronto, a city that like any other, struggled to maintain peace amongst its citizens as the years went on. Being raised by a single mother wasn't easy, especially in a one bedroom apartment where your next-door neighbours were drug dealers and pimps with prostitutes going in and out on the daily. The fact that her upbringing was surrounded by nothing but chaos and struggles led the young girl to mature very fast, especially after her mother disappeared, never to be seen again, when Jessica was just 14. To this day, she still doesn't know whether her mother is dead or alive.

When Jessica turned 16, she moved to Neo-Bay for a fresh start. Not that her life would be that much better, but hopefully it wouldn't be worse than it already was. When she arrived, she took it upon herself to develop some fundamental hand-to-hand combat skills in order to be able to defend herself better than the average Joe. She trained every single day, unless she was extremely ill or had a serious injury. Over the years, Jessica acquired various skills such as free running, Krav Maga, and some close-range weapons training.

At the ripe age of 22, Jessica's small apartment which she had called home for so long was burn down by a local gang. Maybe it was a mistake, or maybe they were targeting her, but Jessica vowed vengeance once she learned that the only picture of her mother she usually carried with her was in the apartment that evening. With this new powerful thirst for revenge, Jessica stopped at nothing to find the perpetrators responsible for the arson. Over time, this obsession changed the young woman for the worse. She started turning to crime to get by, making any easy target into her victim despite their age, gender, or disability. Jessica simply didn't care about anyone else but herself, and the simple thrill of her new lifestyle kept her going.

This went on for a few years until one night, Jessica broke into the home of no other than Tim Taggart. Despite her regular use of stealth in burglaries, she was caught as she was about to exit the second-story window. Jessica jumped despite Taggart's threat to use force, but he nonetheless delivered. He shot her with a non-lethal projectile, leaving her lying on the ground below, cringing in pain. Ironically, despite her disabled state, Taggart calmly made his way downstairs to compliment her skills. She had almost gotten away with it, and he'd never had anyone one-up him like that. It was then he offered her a deal: suffer the [additional] repercussions of breaking into his home, or join his new team of crime fighters.

The girl had little to say. Aside from the huge amount of relief she felt as she learned that she was't being executed, Kahleni had still been selected for a mission which would more than likely yield no survivors. Nonetheless, she was out of her cell, regardless of the fact that she still couldn't see very well due to the many years she spent in darkness.

Kahleni tensed up again when one the guards grabbed her arm and injected her with the explosive device. She had never received an injection before, but she learned the hard way that it wasn't a feeling she was particularly fond of. But somehow, in the back of her mind, the thought lingered that she would rather feel pain than nothing at all.

The rest of the group as well as Kahleni had been debriefed, injected, and now they had the floor. When the guard removed her muzzle, Kahleni waited for the other mage to finish his statements.

"I--I'm okay with it," she added after him, being perfectly honest with herself regardless of what her body language portrayed.
"Ah, I see..." Amelia replied, shifting her weight as she looked over at Andrew who was getting her something to drink as well as some food.

"Should I be careful around him?" she suddenly asked, leaning forward to close some distance between Owl and herself. She had somewhat of a concerned look on her face, but for good reason. Needless to say, she was a little bit suspicious of this Owl guy as well. Maybe Amelia was being overly cautious, but she certainly didn't have anything to lose by asking a couple of questions.
