My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

I'll have a character today or tomorrow.

But I don't mind introducing my character after your post, just FYI.
Interested. I'm planning on making my girl a wolf, but is there anything in specific I should keep in mind?
"Thanks for the notice, Captain Obvious," Amy joked, stopping momentarily as Grayson gave the heads up to Harriet during their brief exchange. The couple then headed towards the elevator, Amy with a limp and one hand delicately pressed against the minor wound on her side. She'd left her helmet behind elsewhere on the ship, and even though Grayson had insisted she take it with her, Amy had been very stern regarding her decision. They didn't argue; it was more so a disagreement the two had had after a rather draining and somewhat painful mission.

"I have a bad feeling about this one..." Amy randomly confessed as they both stepped inside the elevator. The Alliance would want answers, and a half-assed lie just wouldn't do. Amy hoped that for their sake, Stryker had something solid in mind, otherwise, they would be in serious trouble regardless whether Stryker placed the blame solely on himself.

Once they'd arrived at their floor, Amy motioned towards her room. "Mind dropping me off? I wanna take this damn thing off already before heading down to the med bay."

Amy was unsure whether to let Grayson know about the vial of blood she had on her. If she was wrong, then at least she wouldn't have to explain herself, saving her the trouble in the long run.

Lucy watched as Harper left her and the other girls, and she knew that despite the odds being stacked up against them, she had to go outside and help the others. It was only in her nature.

"Let's do this then..."

Following behind Harper, Lucy headed outside onto the chaos. She was immediately drawn to a struggle between a couple of younger boys and a PSF, and she quickly jumped to action and rushed over to help. But as she was approaching, the PSF shot dead one of the boys. His blonde hair stained by his own blood would be an imagine she would never be able to forget, especially as his lifeless body fell to the ground.

"Hey!" Lucy forcibly pulled on the armed man's uniform shirt, getting his attention but unfortunately not thinking it through beyond that. She wasn't quick enough to avoid the stock of his rifle as it made heavy impact with her jaw, causing the young girl to stumble backwards a few steps before she inevitably fell and landed on her back. Her head spinning, Lucy then nearly found herself staring down the barrel of that same rifle she'd just been hit with, but this time, she was quick enough to push it away with her hand.

"Put it down!" Lucy got to her feet, grabbing a hold of the PSF's wrist with her free hand. Visibly struggling to do otherwise, the man dropped the rifle, his arm shaking just the slightest for it to be noticeable.

"Y-you...bitch," he whispered through clenched teeth.

Lucy paid him no mind for a moment as she noticed the other young boy running off. She then pushed the PSF away from her and quickly picked up the rifle, aiming it at his center mass before pulling the trigger.
I hope my post makes sense...I was hoping there'd be a few moments before everything turned chaotic.
"Hey, what are you doing?"

Lucy stopped for a moment between the boys and the girls' cabins, hearing Katie's words from somewhere behind her, but her mind actively choosing to ignore it. Instead, she stared straight ahead, beyond the hell that was solitary and over onto the hills way off in the background.

"Luce, come on get over here!" Charlie waved over from the edge of the lake. He was wearing swimming trunks just like Damien, who kept jumping off the small, wooden dock. "Hey, what are you doing?"

Lucy looked up at her dad, who approached her with a smile on his face.

"I thought you wanted to get in the water?" he went on.

"The hills are pretty," Lucy said, returning his smile. She stared for a little while longer before reaching up for his hand so they could walk to the edge of the lake together.

Charlie chuckled, giving her hand a little squeeze. "You know, I love how you find beauty in everything...it means you have a kind heart."

Lucy was young, just 8 years old, and even though she didn't quite understand the meaning behind her father's words, it still made her appreciate them.

A stray bullet barely missed her as Lucy finally snapped out of it. She turned around to face Katie, urging her to get back inside the cabin. "We have to stay safe!" Her adrenaline skyrocketed as Lucy grabbed Katie's wrist and pulled her towards the cabin. She ran for the door, closing it behind her once they were both safe inside. "It's chaos out there, what do we do?"

Lucy didn't only address Katie, but the rest of the girls in the cabin as well.
That day had started out like any other torturous day. Stuck in the same routine with the same saddened faces. Not that Lucy minded, but their expressions were a crude reminder of her position every time she attempted to daydream back to the good old days when the most she had to worry about was finding a playdate for her free time on the weekends. But her life wasn't as simple anymore, not when she was a couple of weeks away from becoming a teenager and thus had a much better understanding of everything that had happened to all of them up to that point.

Later in the evening, the oldest girl within their cabin, Jasmine, asked for anyone who was interested in playing a game of truth or dare to join her. The thought alone watered Lucy's eyes, nearly making her cry. Despite what they go through everyday, Jasmine manages to push aside her feelings to make the rest of the girls feel just a tad better. Her selfless act left Lucy momentarily at a loss for words before she let them know she was joining them.

Pushing herself up off of the creaking cot, Lucy walked over to the center of the cabin where she sat cross-legged waiting for the remainder of the girls who wanted to play. She was looking forward to the game when a loud explosion drew her back to reality. Her first thought was that they were all about to horribly die in an airstrike attack. The idea wasn't so farfetched given what they had endured up to that point, and the rest of humanity probably didn't want them anymore anyway.

But the airstrike didn't happen, nor did the crippling White Noise that one would usually expect on a regular basis. Silence followed instead, coupled with confused and scared faces from the girls in that cabin.

"What in the hell is going on?" Lucy got to her feet with a sense of urgency, rapidly walking over to the door just beside Annabelle. She walked past Harper and before sense common got a chance to direct her next move, Lucy opened the door just the slightest to take a peek outside.

Not much appeared to be out of place except for the quick-paced footsteps outside and the loud, verbal commands. But that was something that they were more than used to at that point.

"I don't see anything," Lucy said in a low voice, opening the door all the way before she stepped out into the cool night. When the other reds and oranges had been killed, it hadn't been this dramatic. On top of that, she was sure as hell they were next, but the explosion wasn't anywhere near their cabin, so that only added to the confusion.

Lucy then slowly began to walk, almost like a zombie who was drawn to the chaos.
@Winter Star12

Oh yeah, over time it gets easier. I just mean the death of a furry (in my case, spiky) friend is hard every time.
