Out of all the things Sage thought might happen today, being attacked from behind was not one of them. Should she have been human, she certainly wouldn't have noticed the incoming assault until it was too late but it seemed being a ghoul had its perks. If the shout the other person made didn't notify her of the impeding attack then the sound of air rushing past a person as they leaped from above certainly did. Before Sage knew what was happening, her body acted instinctively. Her form tensed before leaping out of the way at the last minute. She hit the ground, rolled and popped up onto her feet. She frowned, gazing at the woman attacking her. As her eyes took in the activated Kagune Sage grew confused. Had she accidentally wandered onto another ghoul's turf. She glanced uneasily at the empty street, cursing herself for her lack of concentration at where she was walking. She didn't realize until know that she had been walking into a deserted part of the city where no one really goes. And now she was alone with a ghoul intent on doing her harm. Maybe she could defuse the situation? It was worth a shot. "Why are you attacking me? If I have wandered onto your hunting grounds then I will happily leave. There is no need for violence." Despite her words, Sage's body was tense, ready to activate her Kagune at a moments notice.

"I'll take these broken wings and learn to fly!"

Standing at 4'8, Sage is a petite and slender girl. Her hair falls to her slender waist and she normally keeps it back in a braid. She weighs around 98lbs and has slight muscles from training. Her eyes are a bright gray that darken when she is angry, making them look like storm clouds. When she is in a content mood her eyes look like silver coins. Her complexation is fair and she burns rather easily in the sun.

_Description_

Generally a quiet girl, Sage normally fades into the background. She is the kind of person who prefers to take the pictures, not be in them. She tends to blurt alot of things out without realizing it or thinking about her words. Sage also gets embarrassed and flustered way too easily; often blushing and hiding her face. She is somewhat of a klutz, managing to trip over her own feet more often than not. However, she can be very stubborn if she feels like it. She also puts others needs before her own and in most cases she reacts without thinking of her own well-being: if someone is being hurt, Sage will immediately try and protect them with any means possible without even considering herself. 

A decent cook, Sage is wary around knifes from the time she almost took her thumb off when chopping vegetables for dinner. She is a night owl and not much of a morning person. She can be very OCD when it comes to certain things. Having never had a boyfriend or even kissed a member of the opposite sex before, she is painfully clueless about the romance world. She is also considered a book worm and is normally seen curled up in a corner with her nose stuck in a book when not training.

_Description_

Sage grew up with two loving parents in the town of Shiganshina. Sage was a good child and never made a fuss. When she became a big sister at the age of eight, she did her very best to take care of her little brother Aiden. She didn't mind him following after her everywhere when he could walk, as other siblings would be. She loved her brother dearly and swore to always protect him. Then the Titans came. Sage didn't know what went wrong. She had been playing hide and seek with Aiden one minute and the next minute people were screaming and running in terror. In those first few seconds when she couldn't find Aiden, Sage had never been more scared in her life. When she finally found Aiden curled up in fear under a cart she grabbed his hand and ran as fast as she could towards their house. When they got there the building was in ruins and there were no signs of their parents at first. Frantic, Sage searched around in vain before she finally found her mother trapped under a beam from a neighboring house. The children tried to free her but as the thundering footsteps grew louder their mother screamed at Sage to take Aiden and run. With tears streaming down her cheeks, Sage gripped Aiden's hand tightly and took off towards the gate. However, it wasn't long before Sage felt Aiden's hand being ripped from hers. The girl could only watch in terror as a Titan lifted her screaming brother towards its mouth. A crunch, a splash of red and Sage felt a scream well up in her throat. Arms then wrapped around her as her father scooped her up and tore off towards the gate. Sage watched numbly over her fathers shoulder as her life was shattered into bits. 

As Sage grew older her father eventually succumbed to his grief and passed away. The girl fell into a depression but eventually she felt rage stir in her heart. She would avenge her family. And she would prevent other children from having to go through what she did.
