Bio

Hello! Nice to see you, eh?

I'm Yami, a college student and sometimes decent artist heavily influenced by anime/manga styles. Um...I'm not that interesting, really. I do some cosplay stuff and can get really into anything that interests me enough, but that's about it.

I might be in a bit of a slump right now, actually. I'm looking for something really fascinating to pique my interest once again, help me get back into the swing of things. I'm into crazy fantasy situations, especially.

That description of Spinel was so accurate that I couldn't stop laughing for about a minute.
The boy's face pinkened at the mention of the portraits again. "I'm not over it..." He tried to muffle the complaint by stuffing another bite of the sandwich into his mouth. He stood up when she moved to leave the room, though, following behind a bit shakily, sandwich still in hand. At the sight of the other door, he flicked his wrist to unlock and open it, taking a mental note to remember to check that it locked when he was done this time.

"It's actually on the wall next to the portraits...what exactly do you want to look for? You usually have a better chance of seeing it if you have some idea of what you want to find."

Mocha jumped, a bit startled by an odd yet faint noise she had just heard. Halting her movement and staying completely still, she let her ears swivel around for a moment to better hear where it had come from before moving closer to one of the walls, realizing soon that she actually felt it a lot better than she could hear it. Holding up a hand for silence, she waited to the end of it, only for the same pattern to repeat. Huh? It seems to be oddly specific in its timing...oh! By the time it had run through its second round and finished, she felt that she had a fairly good grasp on exactly what it was trying to convey. A couple things took a bit longer to unscramble in her brain, but she got the basics pretty quickly. Reaching into her pocket, she fished around for a moment before taking out a pencil and a folded up piece of paper.

I think Jade has something. I'll tell more in a little while.
The dark-eyed boy nodded, placing down his tablet and rising from his seat to stand in the center of the room. Running a few ideas in his mind, he soon settled on something he could work with and placed his hands on his temples while he focused. Slowly, the light in the room began to dim, not to where it was pitch black, but to the point where reading would not be advisable, at least. Once the room had darkened enough, he brought his hands down and held one out, creating a crackling sound and the image of a sparkler in his grasp. Once it was complete, he wrote his name in the air using the projected sparkler and kept the light trail visible so the word would be readable for a good few seconds. Kyo.

Soon, he let the light trail fade out and scattered the sparkler lights around him in a clatter of chimes to disappear. Feeling like he was swiftly approaching his safety limit after that display, he let the lights fade back in and took a deep breath before sitting back down. He might have been able to do more on another day, but definitely not that day. His earlier difficulties had him a little less capable of doing much more safely, and he was already tired.

'Kay. Just as long as we have an understanding.

I might be able to throw some information your way for you to use at some point if you like, actually.
May I also suggest some caution with Psychometry? I feel like that could become difficult as well if he comes into contact with objects owned by other characters or past homes.
"It's not that I couldn't! I just...hmm..." Soreth puffed out his cheeks, not sure how to take the accusation. It was his job, he was supposed to take out the hero. But the whole observation flustered him somewhat. "...did you really want me to or something? We can worry about that later." He puffed out a little air and listened to her request regarding scrying, hoping to drop the other subject for the time being.

"Well..." The boy stretched his hands a few times as he thought about his answer. "...I'd say that it's not too hard...I've been using it for a long time, though, so I'm not sure exactly how different my perspective on it is. It's nice for keeping an eye on things without moving." Wincing a bit at stretching his left hand a little too much, he tucked it under his right arm and leaned back in his chair. "It's nice since it's versatile. Just a bowl of water can do wonders if you know how to use it. We're better off using one of the mirrors in the bedroom, though. They're already charged with their own energy, so it's easy enough to use them without needing to do too much."

Picking up one of the sandwiches, he mumbled quietly before biting into it. "Of course, the best one is probably in the art studio..."
"Huh? That's weird, I didn't hear anything about this. Nothing much appeared when I was scrying before that fight, so it must have been pretty recent. I guess it's good that the guards were on the alert after all." He rubbed at one of his eyes and yawned a bit, shaking his head to attempt to clear it a bit. It only really succeeded in making his head ache again, so he leaned back onto the table again. "I'll deal with it if it becomes necessary, but it's probably best to let them handle it. I'll get a full report soon."

"Oh yeah, we forgot to actually deal with treatment before. Um...hold on, I still have no energy, but there's some stuff around here somewhere..." Pushing himself out of the chair, he moved over to the cabinets and began searching until he pulled out a box. "Oh good, I haven't moved it yet. There are some bandages and things like that in here if you want me to wrap anything up. I don't think you can just burn wounds closed or anything, so this is all we have right now." Placing the box on the table, he sat down and opened it up, checking to make sure that everything was in there.
Hey @Weird Tales? Anything I should be wary of with joining in that battle? Just trying to figure out the best way to enter.
Sorry, this one ended up a bit shorter than I planned...
