I'm not asking you to forgive me. I'll never understand or forgive myself. And if I die, so help me, I'll laugh at myself for being an idiot. There's one thing I do know and that is that I love you.

Would you mind if I make a cs for this Yoshi?

There's still one spot left, so sure you can make one but the next one that is finished and approved gets the spot, anyone after that will be on a waiting list.

Awesome! Thank you!
And, yeah, I went with Logan simply because Charles and Erik seemed to be getting all the love.

She has been moved to the character thread :) It's official now :) Go ahead and send me a PM so we can discuss her recruitment from Logan.

Name:
Yukiko (Meaning 'a thousand generations') Masuyo (Meaning 'Benefit the world')

Age:
17

Alias:
Shakita or Kita

Appearance:

costume:

Abilities:

Matter Manipulation
Yukiko, having just stumbled upon her power as she traveled to the United States from Japan, can manipulate matter. Currently she has only used this power once with turning a glass of water into nothing but an empty cup of air, as the hydrogen and one of the oxygen molecules were removed (scientifically speaking), but as she comes to understand her powers more (learning more about chemistry could definitely help), anything in the universe that has substance and mass/physical form can be manipulated into whatever it is she can understand and imagine. Of course, these abilities are limited by her knowledge, amount of concentration and mental strength.

Skills:
Yukiko was trained ever since she was able to walk in the art of stealth as well as how to wield blades of all types. As she got older, her more prominent skills were discovered and her training focused mainly on her acrobatics, small blade use, throwing ability (like throwing stars and other small, sharp objects) and stealth (along with that, flexibility from being forced to learn to navigate small areas). Amongst these, Yukiko has been trained in hand-to-hand combat and though not as skilled with it as she is with her other skills, she is able to hold her own against any normal fighter though her small stature almost forces her to keep unnoticed and ranged.

On top of that, Yukiko is fluent in three different languages: Japanese, as is her native tongue, as well as Mandarin and Russian. Her knowledge of other languages is very small, and English, perhaps, is her worst one.

Personality Traits:
Yukiko hardly speaks to anyone save for Logan. This doesn't just have to do with the fact that she doesn't understand a word of English, but she has always been quiet by nature, raised into knowing where her place is and will only speak up when she feels compelled to speak her mind.

Once you get to know her, however, Yukiko's other traits come out in her, revealing her to be firm in opinion, stubborn in her ways and prefers to do things on her own rather than in groups, having a hard time following anyone she does not deem worthy as a leader. She's a very independent spirit and exceptionally respectful towards those who have earned it as well as loyal to her culture and country. On the rare occasion when she feels completely relaxed and able to be herself, Yukiko is known to be a bit on the sassy side, but does indeed have a sense of humor hidden somewhere deep down.

Backstory:
From the very day that Yukiko was conceived, her fate was already written in stone. Youngest and only girl of six in the Masuyo family, Yukiko was brought up and raised in a family controlled by the Yakuza, a group of transnational organized crime syndicates in Japan. From the moment Yukiko started walking, training had begun, honing the small girl into a lethal weapon for the Yukuza’s own personal use. At first her missions consisted of small group missions with her older brothers as ‘debt collectors’, a little intimidation here and there; maybe someone lost a finger or two or a couple broken bones; but as the years went on her missions became more physical, daunting and brutal.

Strange enough as things were (though now considered normal to Yukiko) an American had moved in with Yukiko and her family. He was a friend of her father's, as she learned, and over the time that Logan spent with them, Yukiko and he formed a very close bond, perhaps a bond closer than she had with any of her family.

Yukiko first started questioning her family’s line of work when she was just thirteen years old and two of her brother’s had nearly exposed themselves in a mission they were working on together, and as penance they each had to remove the tip of their left little finger as was a customary ritual known as Yubitsume. As Yukiko sat there and watched her brothers disfigure themselves, her doubts began to climb and she made an effort to tread more carefully from then on. She always knew that failure would result in severe punishment, she just wasn't sure if she was able to accept just how the Yakuza went about it.

Three years later when Yukiko was sixteen, she had lost three out of the five of her brothers to the Yakuza whether it be by their own personal hand as punishment, or by getting killed serving them. Logan had also mysteriously vanished from their home, and Yukiko could only assume that he too was dead. It was during this time that Yukiko thought about wanting to escape the clutches of the Yakuza forever. The last act Yukiko ever did in Japan for the Yakuza happened on a cold November night. Suspicion of Yukiko's loyalty began to spread around the organization, and she was brought before one of the leaders of the Yakuza, Zurui. The room in which she was pulled into had about twenty or so other Yakuza members standing by for protection reasons, and in the center of the room was what looked like an ordinary man tied up to a wooden chair with a bag over his head.

Zurui assured Yukiko that the man hidden under the bag deserved his punishment, as he was found trying to profit for what it was that they did. Zurui handed Yukiko the sacrificial katana and she knew immediately that if she didn't do what she was told, she would surely die; but she had never taken a life before and was unsure if she could do so now. Her harsh upbringing however led Yukiko to take the katana from Zurui and the man was quickly untied from the chair and pushed before the sacrificial block. She had seen these sacrifices before, she grew up her whole life watching heads roll on the floor from the clean swipe of the katana. It was considered an honor to be the one to wield the blade, however Yukiko wanted no part in it. Despite being desensitized to blood and gore, the thought of taking one's life, despite what he may have done, did not set well with her.

Forcefully, Yukiko raised the katana, and with one clean swipe had beheaded the criminal; her first kill. But what surprised her even more then the rush of taking the life of another was when the bag hit the floor, the head of her very own father rolled out… the Yakuza had tricked her into killing her own father. Somehow managing to keep a brave face, Zurui informed the sixteen year old that Yukiko’s father had been suspected of working for some unknown organizations in America who aimed to take down the Yakuza and of course, must be stopped. Zurui then praised Yukiko for her lack of emotion during the 'test' and was promoted to a Yakuza assassin. As she left the room that day, she was warned that if she ever disobeyed, then what was left of her family would surely die in the most unpleasant way possible. She continued to do the bidding of the Yakuza for another year before Yukiko finally spotted her chance of getting out. An air raid.

People were being evacuated left and right; women and children being the first priority. Being mistaken as a 'normal' child, Yukiko was rounded up with some others her age and was immediately shipped off to one of their allied countries for safety. But Yukiko didn’t stop there. If her father had connections in America that aimed to stop the Yakuza, she knew then that it was America that she needed to be.

Name: Scott Summers (Scotty)

Age: 23

Alias: Cyclops

Appearance:

Costume:

Abilities: Cyclops can emit powerful beams of energy from his eyes. He cannot control the beams without the aid of special eyewear which he must wear at all times.

Skills: He has only a few skills, mainly stealing and other things that make him the perfectly moulded criminal. He's nearly silent on his feet, can pick a lock to pretty much anything and is comfortable with using guns and things like that. He has some good close combat fighting skills but rarely uses them.

Personality Traits: Scott is an emotionally unstabe and fragile spirited man. Though his tough look suggests otherwise, he is very kind and likes to avoid conflit as much as possible. He fears a lot of things and trusts no one. Any physical contact with others draws out panic as he is so used to being beated or emotionally/sexually abused. Scarred is an understatement to how messed up he is. Though he keeps a lock on how much pain he really feels, the years of horror he faced can be easily read on his face. Even when smiling, he looks sad. Though this causes him to be soft and distant from many people, there is a small piece of him inside that still keeps him fighting through it all.

When he is around people he keeps himself closed off, only showing a cold shell of his inner self or whatever he wants others to see him as.

Backstory: Scott Summers is the oldest son of Major Christopher Summers, a test pilot in the U.S. Air Force and his wife Katherine Ann. His younger brother is Alex, now age 13 (later known as Havok) who has some undiscovered powers that are much like Scott's. At a younge age, Scott lost both of his parents during a freak accident while the family was travelling on a long trip in a train. The Summers' were moving off of an Air Force base where they had been permitted to live most of their lives. His father having been restationed in a base near New York City caused the family to uproot everything and take a hours long trip to plant roots somewhere else.

Though it is unknown to Scott how the accident happened, as the train travelled over a bridge that passed a few hundred feet above a large expanse of water, the bridge failed, crumbling under the weight of the train, collapsing and taking the train and everyone inside along with it. In a desperate attempt to save her children, Scott's mother literally broke through a window and shoved the two of them out of it. As Scott and Alex fell into the water seperate from those in the train, Scott would get hit in the head by a piece of bridge debris, causing damage to the part of his brain that would have later allowed him to controll his optical blasts. Scott and Alex both would be the only survivors of the wreck as the other passengers would drown as the train sank to the bottom of the water.

The two were both found and treated soon after, the bridge being only a mile or so from a nearby suburb of the city with a few families living there. Scott and Alex both suffered trauma induced amnesia from the accident, Alex getting the worst of it, being so young (about age 5) having forgotten most of his memories of Scott or their parents. Scott (around age 15) having only forgotten about the accident himself and not knowing why when he awoke that his parents were gone, when told about the accident and how his parents were likely killed in the disaster, Scott was thrown into a panic where he, for the first time, would unleash the power of his optical blasts, destroying a good part of the small town hospital that him and his brother were admitted to.

Shortly after he would lose consciousness and awake one year later in a different hospital, having been the subject to various tests in an orphanage located in Nebraska. He spent a few years there, being harassed and bullied and prevented from having anyone adopt him. At one point he was suffering severe headaches, a sign that his power was going to soon flare up again and was sent to a specialist. He was given a pair of ruby-quartz glasses that were meant to prevent his power from getting out of hand. The problem was when he would be beaten up by bullies or his glasses would get taken, he had to struggle and keep his eyes closed in fear of unleasing the deadly blast that came from his eyes.

Scott lived the rest of his years in fear of his ability and of people finding out. When he was finally old enough to be released from the orphanage, Scott, now 18, travelled around, hoping to find his way back to New York where he thought his brother may be. Eventually he caught the attention of a mutant criminal who used and abused the already weak spirited and emotionally drained teen. Whenever Scott wanted to be free of his clutches, he was beated into submission, the poor mutant eventually not trying to escape.

For the past 5 years, Scott still has his emotional fragility, but has grown stronger. Strong enough to stand up for himself and take control of his powers to a certain extent. Though he had finally reached the point he could easily take down the mutant criminal who he worked for, the man had Scott wrapped around his finger, keeping the fear in Scott too pronounced to ever dare try to escape.

Recently, Charles Xavier along with the help of some federal officials helped to take down the criminal, but Scott was also subject to punishment for being his accomplice. In an effort to get Scott out of some terrible trouble, Charles would offer him solace at the school he was now forming in New York. This brought a new found hope for Scott as he wanted to still find his younger brother, wondering if he had the same powers as he did. Encouraged by this, he would agree to go with Charles and finally give up the life of fear and pain he had been subject to all this time.

Other: He always needs to wear his special pair of sunglasses, even in his sleep. The lenses are made of a material called ruby-quartz, that for some reason, keeps his powers in check. For this reason, no one usually sees the true ocean blue color of his eyes. Though it no longer bothers him, he sees the world with a subtle red tint to it, not because of his glasses, but his eyes themselves.

Name:
David Avery Thurman, went by the alias Christoph Nord for a time.

Age:
24, born August 19th, 1922

Alias:
[Agent] Zero

Position in School:
Student

Appearance:

Appearance - Masked:

Height:
5'10"

Costume (if any):

Abilities:

Enhanced Marksmanship
One of the most skilled marksmen in the world, David's primary mutation manifests itself in drastic improvement of his aim, accuracy and precision. He needs only an instant to to aim before being able to precisely hit a target with a projectile. David can judge extremely long distances with amazing accuracy, gauging the strength needed to launch a projectile in order to hit a target with almost superhuman precision. If a target is moving, David can calculate the best method to hit the target. Visual obstructions like smoke and vegetation do not hinder his ability to get an accurate shot on his target, and his intense focus on whatever he's shooting at allows him to shut out outside distractions. He can compensate for environmental factors that would normally throw off one's aim like wind, air resistance, gravity, and radiant heat (which distorts the image of the target). However, David is not a perfect marksman, as human error can and will allow him to miss on occasion.

Kinetic Energy Absorption (Limited)
A more subdued power, David can, to a limited affect, absorb kinetic energy into his body; such examples of this being falling from a great height, energy attacks, or a powerful physical blow. This ability allows him to greatly reduce, if not completely nullify the injuries he receives from such impacts. This absorbed energy will typically become a reserve amount of stamina, giving him a sort of 'boost' or 'rush'. However, David is not fully trained in this particular ability, and as such, not only will using the energy boost absorbed from impacts tire him out quickly, but the power itself will not typically not activate until his body is in a fight-or-flight response, where life or death are the only options.

Superhuman Agility & Reflexes
As a side-effect of his enhanced markshamship, David's reflexes are enhanced to levels unobtainable by normal human beings. Likewise, his agility, balance, and bodily coordination are heightened to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete. These enhanced attributes make him a highly dangerous hand-to-hand combatant, capable of even sparring with the likes of Wolverine on semi-even ground; though the more experienced man's older age, longer training, and metal skeleton allow him to win these spars more likely than not.

Skills:
A highly skilled hand-to-hand comatant and covert operative with unmatched skill in marksmanship, David was renowned during his tenure as a soldier for his adaptability, improvisation skills, reputation of fear and sheer willingness to survive. Being trained to effectively wield, clean and maintain virtually all types of firearms with added skill in explosives, David has functioned both as a front-line soldier and a sniper whenever the need has called for it, executing both jobs with the same amount of skill and lethality.

Having traveled abroad during World War II, David is fluent in: English (his native lanuage), Russian and German, with enough knowledge in Japanese to have a basic conversation, though nothing near the level of fluency.

David is quick-thinking and resourceful, capable of devising quick scenarios and strategies in the field of battle, as well as using the environment to his advantage in combat. He is trained both in open and Guerrilla warfare tactics.

Despite not being much of a diplomat, David is both highly skilled at observation and at intimidation, his skill-set, dark reputation and inclination towards violence and ferociousness making him an invaluable interrogator.

Lastly, David is a survivor. Running away from home at relatively young age and having to provide both for himself and his sister, David adopted a survival instinct very early on, teaching himself how to be a provider, a gatherer and a guardian. This trait carried over into adulthood, where he had a reputation in the Army for flourishing in, or otherwise surviving extremely dangerous or seemingly uninhabitable conditions, as well as somehow managing to make it out of various life-threatening situations with hardly a scratch.

Equipment:
Weapon-wise, David keeps himself equipped for nearly any combat scenario. His most common weapons are dual Colt M1911 pistols, which he is capable of dual-wielding with no drawbacks to his aim, accuracy or precision. Along with his pistols, David will carry either a scoped M1903 Springfield bolt-action sniper rifle or a StG 44 assault rifle, dependant on the role he's filling during missions. David keeps a combat knife and various throwing blades equipped for melee combat, and a single hand grenade secured on his person for crowd control.

Personality Traits:
A serious, erudite man, calm and logical in battle, David comes across as a kind and well-disposed, though quiet and soft-spoken individual, mostly speaking only when spoken to first. He is both highly intelligent and a fast learner, being self-taught in a wide range of subjects, with history and human psychology being the most prominent.

David is a devout Christian. Despite not being very open or outspoken about his faith, he will nonetheless speak of God or Jesus Christ quite often in his conversations with others, as well as carrying a pocket Bible on his person and praying before any battle. Aside from his faith, David is a very contemplative and pensive person, often asking very deep, philosophical questions, be they to himself or to his teammates.

David was very protective towards his twin sister, Neena, both before and during the Second World War. During their childhood and adolescence, he would be the one to calm her down if she ever got angry and provided for her as best as he could. Having not seen her since the War, David still has hope she's out there somewhere, though such hope is fading as time moves on.

On a darker note, underneath David's composed and friendly demeanor is a tranquil fury of sorts. During the War he was renowned for his efficiency, skill, and sheer brutality, possessing a high capability for cruelty and viciousness. In fact, even to this day he has a very militant "kill-them-all" philosophy in regards to dealing with enemies. He holds no qualms towards killing those he deems as his own or God's enemies and rarely gives quarter or accepts surrender. Nevertheless, since the War's end he has turned away from the use of torture, preferring a clean kill, lest he dirty his own conscience.

Backstory:
Much of David's life was gaining both harsh and valuable life experience. Born to a wealthy family, he lived the first few years of his life in luxury with his father, a workaholic banker, bringing in a comfortable salary. He shared a very close relationship with his twin sister, Neena and his mother, River, the latter having taught him the basics of Christianity.

When the Great Depression hit, David and his family were reduced to just a step above poverty, forced to move to a small cottage and struggle to support one or even two meals a day while also trying to buy clothes, toys, and afford schooling.

It was not long after this when David's mother passed away after a long battle with Tuberculosis, leaving the twins heartbroken. Their father, emotionally exhausted, soon remarried to a woman from Georgia, an overzealous Catholic. Seeking reform in the Thurman household, she had Neena placed in a Catholic girls school and began pressing Bible lessons into David, enough where he began to openly despise her.

By the time he was 16, David had had enough. Packing as many of his belongings as he could in a duffle bag he ran away from home, breaking into the boarding school Neena was placed in and 'rescuing' her in the meantime. From that moment on, the two of them began a vagabond journey, traveling from place-to-place, performing small, odd jobs and scrounging for whatever food or shelter they could find. Because of Neena's then-unknown mutation and David's own survival instinct, they always managed to find at least one good meal a day and a safe place to sleep for the night.

When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor in 1941, David and Neena both enlisted in the Army, managing to land in the same division together. It was during basic training where David's mutation began to reveal itself as he displayed an inhuman amount of skill with firearms that even seasoned, battle-hardend veterans couldn't come close to matching.

This caught the attention of Canton Delaware, a CIA agent assigned to track down those with special abilities - mutants. Approaching both Neena and David, Canton offered them a position in a secret government operation known only as Team X, a black ops squadron that consisted of highly-trained mutants to perform clandestine operations for the Allied Powers in hopes of ending the World War sooner than anticipated.

David and Neena both accepted, given the codenames Agent Zero and Agent Domino, the rest of their squad consisting of unique mutants who operated under their codenames: Wolverine, Odysseus, Jaeger and Toad.

Receiving professional training in special operations, urban and guerrilla warfare, espionage, intelligence gathering, military tactics and linguistics the team was deployed within months, where David first underwent the experience of battle. Witnessing senseless death in such high regards, David lost his faith in God. From that point forward he slowly began to enjoy battle, growing almost addicted to the adrenaline he felt each time he pulled the trigger of a gun. While others in his squad, like Wolverine and Odysseus killed with blunt efficiency like a chore, David began savoring it, soon enough gaining a reputation as a soldier who would exterminate entire villages in less than a hour, experiencing no guilt or pain afterwards.

Though Team X was under the pretense that they were catalysts fighting to end the War as quickly as possible, their function was much darker. The terrorist organization known as HYDRA had a number of sleeper agents that had infiltrated the CIA years before, using the Second World War to reap war, spark crises and generally wreak havoc - and Team X was no exception.

In reality, the entire purpose of the mutant black-ops squadron was to cause as much damage as possible, their missions strategically organized to keep the War going, with no intention of stopping in the near-foreseeable future.

In the year 1944, Team X was deployed on what would be David's last mission. The objective was simple: enter a Nazi base hidden in the German mountains, steal a collection of top-secret military files, then hurry to the extraction point. What the team didn't expect, however, was that Toad would switch sides in the middle of the mission.

The operation went from a simple extraction to a full-blown survival mission. The files were no longer the objective, making it to the extraction point in one piece was.

Enthralled by the adrenaline that came with his fight-or-flight response, David was too engrossed in mowing down any enemy who came into his sights to notice a single soldier sprinting straight towards him.

Turning around but a second too late at Neena's warning, David had less than a moment to see the Nazi lunge at him before they were both sent tumbling over the mountainside - two more casualties in the statistics books.

It wasn't until hours later after night had fallen when David woke up lying facedown in the snow, completely uninjured. Someway, somehow, he had survived a fall that would have killed any man.

Invigorated by both his survival instinct and a reserve supply of energy, David walked more than ten miles in the snow to reach a small village, where he was quickly taken in by a Methodist preacher named Octavius Badanov.

Going by the name Christoph Nord to repel any unwanted attention, David developed a cover story that he was a vagrant and wanderer who was caught in the midst of a bad snowstorm, unable to make his way back to his home for the night.

Octavius showed David compassion, offering him a place to stay at his own home. The two of them grew closer over the next few months, developing an almost father-son relationship. Octavius helped rekindle David's faith, with the turbulent young man finally wishing to seek atonement for his past atrocities.

He remained with Octavius until the War's end in 1945, after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. David, now wishing to reunite with his sister, used what funds he had to journey back to the United States, having to adjust back to not only a civilian life, but an American life as well.

By the year 1946, David had started losing hope that his sister was alive, let alone anywhere he could find her. But there was still a tiny glimmer of hope in the last person David expected to see again: Wolverine.

David learned of all that had happened since his supposed death in Germany. How Team X was disbanded completely shortly after the 'botched' mission, how the members became scattered quickly after the War's end and how mutants were becoming far more prevalent throughout the world.

Learning of David's mission to locate and reunite with Neena, Logan told him of Xavier's school for mutants, how if anyone would be able to find her, it would be the Professor, himself.

Accepting his former comrade's offer, David formally became a student of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

Other:
Despite being American, David speaks with an odd, almost German accent, though it is very light. This is due to the time he spent abroad in Germany, where he spoke little English. Secondly, while typically refraining from drinking alcohol due to its mind-clouding nature, David has a penchant for smoking cigarillos. Lastly, though he holds the terrible deeds he committed during the War with regret, David is not very affected, if affected at all by Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.

Name: Iris Titania Dvorak

Age: 21

Alias: Void

Appearance:

Costume:
(This black cape like jacket that falls to her mid thigh is paired with tight black pants and black boots to maximize her ability to blend in with the shadows.)

Abilities:
Shadow Manipulation - (also called Darkness Manipulation) is the ability to merge with, control, and draw power from darkness. The ability allows the user to hide in, minipulate, and travel through shadows, as well as being able to create shadow-based objects from the darkness. (More detailed description can be found here.)

Skills:
Photographic Memory - Iris' ability to remember information is surprisingly good. Born with a smart head on her shoulders, Iris has gone through life observing everything while blending in from a safe distance. Memorization is one of Iris' biggest tools. Names, faces, passwords, you name it, she can remember it perfectly from the first time. She's capable of self defense, but is physically lacking in strength, so being able to collect information from a distance is a better alternative to fighting. Of course she can always just use her ability to create something like a car to smash on someone's head... not that she's done it before, but spying is much more appealing and requires less energy.

Languages - She speaks fluent Russian and "American English."

Personality Traits:
"Do you really feel the need to speak to me? I may just feel the need to break your bones."

Iris is not the nicest of people. While not outrightly mean or nasty, she is not the most bubbly person and can be bitter and sarcastic at times. She only speaks when spoken to and is likely to scoff and point out your flaws. Despite her attitude, she is very loyal and can be trusted, though many people dont at first. She is a skilled street fighter with good agility and a sharp mind. Though she may not have a problem with you, she wont let anyone close without being sure they can be trusted, and won't hurt her.

Backstory:
"I certainly wasn't a child born from the shadows... but in the solitude of darkness, I feel more at home than I ever do with my so called 'parents'."

Born to a family of Russian immigrants, Iris never knew the simple and happy American lifestyle that her parents had hoped for coming from overseas. Her parents opened up a small bakery in the heart of NYC, and for a time, the family made do with what they had. Fast forward 6 years and Iris was at the small, impressionable age of 5. Times got tough for the Dvoraks, and debt began to pile up to their necks. In order to put Iris into school, her mother began to offer a different, more intimate kind of service to the public. It slowly tore the family apart, but what could they do?

Throughout Iris' times in school, she always knew she was different from the other kids. She was taunted and picked on for her large eyes and for head, and because she looked different from everyone else. She was stick thin and wore old clothes sometimes days in a row because it was all her family could afford. Due to the tough times at home and at school, Iris became a quiet and bitter person. Her father taught her how to defend herself around the age of 13, not from bullies, but from "The cruel world" as he would put it. High school was no different for her. The teasing stopped mostly because she started defending herself. If someone said something rude to her, she'd point all all their flaws and make them feel worthless in a matter of moments. She stopped biting her tongue and started to say how she felt. Profanity became a common weapon against the bullies, and for a time, it worked. People began to keep their distance in school, and that was how she liked it.

Iris first discovered her powers at the age of 16. Her parents offered her a job in their bakery, and for a time it seemed to help business two have a young and attractive face around. Her mother noticed how much attention Iris was attracting, and hatched up what she thought was a great idea. One of the men her parents were in debt to had taken a liking to her, and decided that all debts would be forgiven if they offered Iris to sleep with him whenever he so pleased. One would think loving parents were opposed to it, but they found it to be a once in a lifetime opportunity they simply could not pass up. Iris was in total opposition, and in a blind rage, ran out screaming that her parents had never truly loved her.

Being out on the streets of New York City is a scary thing at night. After being chased by a group of drunk guys from her school, she hid in an alleyway of a tall building and pressed against the wall, wishing she could just dissapear... and she did. The boys ended up looking directly at her, but not being able to see her, continued on their way. When she literally stepped out of the shadow of the wall, she realized why she had felt so out of place all her life. She really was different.

Eventually she returned home and her parents acted like nothing had happened. That was how Iris wanted it. She never wanted to talk about their act of betrayal... She didn't want to talk to them at all. Period. And so for three years, she never spoke to her mother or her father, save for the occasional yes or no. As time passed, Iris felt the desire to better learn how to use her powers. So she spent a lot more time outside at night, following random people and taking comfort in the solitude of darkness. Secretly she wished she could speak with someone like her. Somebody who knew what it was like the to live a life feeling out of place. Iris felt alone in the world. Her only friends were the shadows she would turn into the shapes of people, but even she had to watch them die as the sun came over the horizon. Her solitude only fed her bitterness towards everyone who looked at her as if she was the weird one. It hurt because she knew deep down that their suspicions were right. That she was a monster.

Other: Logan was the one who recruited her.
On that note! Welcome everyone, to the OOC!
