Hmmmm Imma thinking of making another character though I am a little torn. What do you all think I should make? Crazy, dark, heroic, or perhaps power hungry?
Well, he certainly was sure of himself. She quickly looked to the clock, there was time so why not fight fire with fire? Or whatever other banal phrase they used with abundance round here. She leaned forward matching his grin with a soft smile which was not wholly innocent. "For now, you can call me Kat. So tell me Lee" she said, drawing out his name "there are plenty of people around, why talk to me?" Oh validate me white knight, and confirm your importance. It was so cliche it was almost embarrassing if it were not so easy."Because why not Kat?" Lee asked drawing out her name in the same manner. "I do not prefer interacting with large groups at once. Its too much noise and confusion. Something I do not enjoy dealing with." He said. "Besides...your not the same as the others are you? No...I can see it in your eyes. You seem to get a thrill out of trouble don't you? You don't directly cause it though, after all if you did you would not be sitting by yourself. No you prefer it when something curious comes to you. Then like a fire with wood thrown on it, you watch as your work increases the flames." Lee said enjoying the conversation he was having with this young woman "Its not anarchy you enjoy to cause. No its more...mischievous I think. After all that's what you are trying to do now isn't it? Lure me in by drawing ever so gently closer with that sweet smile on your face. Your wanting to see how I will react to such action." Lee concluded with a small chuckle. "Im an avid reader myself. Though instead of books I prefer reading people. I can tell beneath that pretty face and that sweet smile is someone who is different from everyone else here and doesn't deny it one moment. You are someone that enjoys living by your own code and not another's. You do not follow others morals nor do you condemn them for their beliefs. You are a very unique shade of gray." Lee said not breaking eye contact with her own eyes. "You are a very interesting read." He concluded.
She didn't allow herself to be distracted by the apple, instead keeping her eyes on him as he broke down her behaviour, analysed her. It was telling, true, but not just about her. Condident - well, arrogant- and smug, bold and boastful; but then again, why let him know as such. People had been trying to read her for as long as she had been trying to read others and in that time she had only improved in both learning others secrets and hiding her own. "It hardly seems fair that you already know so much of me, yet I do not even know your face." And he was a new face, that much she was certain. Then again, she wasn't going to be a complete pushover. "And as for that, how about you keep talking and see how many words you can get in before I throw you across the room?" She smiled sweetly and her tone was light, which only served to make it more confusing as to the intention behind the words. She was most likely joking, but then again...?Hearing Kat's response made Lee grin even more. "Well my name is Lee and before such a nasty event occurs to my face..." he said introducing himself. "May I have the honor of knowing the name of the face that may throw me across the room?" He asked in friendly tone of voice as he sat there watching Kat all the while the grin never left his face even as she spoke.
"Interesting book you are reading." She stopped reading as soon as she heard the voice, but didn't immediately look up. Her eyes narrowed slightly as they flicked to the side, picking out his figure, but the look was one of amusement above anything else. She waited until he finished before looking up, straight into his eyes. "How could you possibly know? It's not like you can read it." She said, as she closed the book softly. "And do I really look like that kind of girl?" She asked, with a quirk of her brows that suggested it was more of a challenge than a question."I do not need to read it to understand it is an interesting book." Lee said tossing the apple up and down in his hand watching the motion before grabbing it and turning his own eyes to look directly into hers. "I can tell just by reading you." he said. "You are sitting alone by yourself in a cafeteria filled with others your age. So that leads me to believe that you enjoy having no distractions when you read." He pointed out. "Now the book itself appears to be old...very old. So you enjoy reading things that would not attract a mainstream audience just because it is the cool thing to do. It is not difficult to point out an avid book reader neither." He said before turning his chair around so he can sit backwards in it resting his arms on the top of the chair's back. "And if it wasn't you would have told me it wasn't instead of asking me why it wasn't and wouldn't be so gentle over handling it." Lee grinned as he spoke again. "Now if you were that kind of girl. Nothing is stopping you from disposing of me right this instant." He said with a shrug of his shoulders. "The real question is not if you are the type but do you want to be rid of the stranger? Though maybe you don't...I seem to have sparked some level of interest perhaps fleeting if I made you put your book down and focus entirely on me." he said with a grin
The light shone through the cheap curtains, but it was the smell of coffee which truly woke her. Sitting up she wrapped the duvet around her and walked out of the bedroom and flopped on to the couch. “What’s the time?” “Late enough that you need to hurry up and make like a good little school girl.” Come the smug reply, as Aidan held out a mug. Kat rolled her eyes, but took the mug as she simply said “Droll and droller.” before taking a sip, but keeping her eyes on him. “You going to stay for breakfast?” He asked as he sat with his own plateful, taking a mouthful himself. “I shouldn’t, don’t want to raise suspicions on where I spend my sordid nights.” She stood, leaving the duvet where it was and placed the mug beside him instead. “Oh yes, the scandal, falling asleep in front of the television, god forbid anyone knows you’re a normal person.” She gave him a playful shove and stole a rasher of bacon before disappearing back into the bedroom to change."Interesting book you are reading." A voice spoke up next to Kat belonging to a young man whom had already taken a nearby seat. Taking a bite out of the apple in his hand. "You don't mind if I join you do you?" He asked with a small grin on his face leaning back in his chair somewhat. "Or will you blast me with whatever nasty abilities you have at your disposal?" He asked-----Kat walked through the gates of the academy and into the building, navigating the halls with a practiced boredom. The earphones helped stop her look quite so coarse while simultaneously blocking out the mundane discussions that she would be forced to hear fleetingly otherwise. Ultimately ending up in the cafeteria she picked up some hot bread and honey, before taking a seat and opening a book, lazily flicking through the pages.
