Sutekh, The Angry Lord of Sand

"Oh do believe you've been taught that I'm lesser. As if I would not have a plan- Now that would be foolish. No, you see, there will be chaos, and that is why I need you and your father to do what you do best. Those boats need to sink, Supply and reinforcement trains from our western most village, all the way to the lands of the Jews- Every roman there needs to fall into disarray. There are. . . Friends of ours who would welcome the distraction- Oh and make sure the roman gods know nothing. We don't need them Redoubling their efforts so soon without us even having a day of fresh Egyptian air." Set smiles remembering the funny messenger- all of these minor god asking for aid- it made him proud to know even those he saw as rivals, or competition, were becoming Bold! The messenger told him of the news, and oh he shall make very...Very good use of the minor gods. Apep will cause chaos. He will call Sekhmet to bathe in the blood of any who remains. And he would bury Roman Legions under the Dunes!

On a happy note he turns to look at his child once more chuckling. "Silence my Child, our guest is a young one- a young, excited viper. Her nature is that of chaos, and trust me. Chaos is just what we need to scare the Romans. First we scare them and remind them We Are Here. Then if they return." He smiles wide. "I will bury roman legions under the Sand, and call forth all of Egypt to see the threat as it is. A scared little child- stretching itself too thin. It will one day be their down fall. They rely on Romans. but who are Romans, but only people from Rome. They don't have the people, the men or the means to hold Every territory- and in taking so much so fast, well. They've defeated themselves for us. and lets not forget we are not the only Gods being slighted by this roman advance- if we stir the Romans up and scare them into looking at Egypt, every nation- every god, everyone threatened or attacked by the Romans will rally, even those so close to Rome."

Oh he didn't forget the Romans. They were indeed well equipped and they are decent warriors, but it saddens him. The Greeks forgot such legends they had in the past. He had hopes to fight the likes of the mighty legends Greece made a name with- legends of the Spartans where not uncommon, Athenian Cavalry, and plenty others. They gave up so much success... For a people who are doomed to fail due to their own short sighted Ambition. He pitied the Greek Gods. He truly did. But the only way he can help them... is to make them Suffer, and bury their new little toys. Some doubt did creep into his mind however. True, we are here. but they ARE there. They are not Ignorant, this plan could be seen through- No. No he cannot allow doubt! Doubt is the downfall of warrior and scholar alike and he shall NOT fail his people, his friends or Rivals. He will be worthy of his rivals Ire, he will be someone to look up to again. He will just have to trust that the other gods come to stand with him. Surely they would not leave the gods of Violence, Chaos and Evil to claim all the glory, people would forget all about them- no he couldn't allow that either. He would speak to the priests, but that's thinking far too ahead of himself. focus is needed here.

He would explain his plan further to these two- later. for now its too dangerous to explain it all.. Romans can be rather resourceful.

Set's smile was eerie- the kind of sickly smile a psychopath lets slowly spread upon seeing something amusing. He turns his calm gaze to the newcomer. "You have not earned any such right to be so Bold around me, oh Viper. But I will not punish you for it. I respect it. Just as I respect Apophis." He chuckles "Though I do suggest, unless you want to be acquainted with my child Anubis, that you too learn some respect. and to you, my name is Sutekh, or Seth, unless you learn that respect. I am still your Elder, despite being a rival of your Father. Besides, only a fool would focus on the Roman's homes so soon- first we return Egypt to the Pharaohs. Then we burn the invaders colonies. Then we take the war to them... But home always comes first, Home is where family lies."

Oh yes. Apophis. The snake. A vicious creature- but honestly, Egypt is a snake, it lies in wait for its time to strike. Perhaps one of its first defenders besides himself will be his old foe. he could think of no one else more suited, Set and Apophis, a terrifying team to be sure, but if only he could convince or coerce others into joining. Talking to that 'Cat' may even further things still! Yes. Gather all the 'vile' and 'violent' gods, what better response than to show thee invaders True destruction.
Did a thing~

just a small thing with Poseidon, but well, not much for him to do at the moment I don't think.

Unless someone insults him.

Then I hope you brought your swim trunks and shark repellent~

Does a Spear work? And a Khopesh? Not to mention a few megatons of Sand?

Poseidon + Set = Infinite Beach

One of the last few remaining shrines to Set. Alexandria

Quietly the shadows stir about the forbidden shrine, the air around the shrine taking on the smell of sand and dust, as the new visitor looks over the many statues, with a grim sigh. " Too many of us have fallen or given up. People have forgotten the power we once had, that we can take it again. Besides, how many times have the Greeks been put under heel themselves? Just giving into a rival nation to continue their little Dreams of might and power." The man just chuckles lightly, not in Bes'eshe's view, off to the side next to the statue of Set. He comes into view with a smile- an Egyptian man, with a fearsome grin, red hair, and a red mantle that only warriors and wanderers, who would dare to commit the worst of crimes and harms to any man, would wear. Set, in all his subtlety. "Hello my dear child, how have you fared lately?" he seems rather calm for being in a place filled with rivals and foes- statues of others and the presence of enemies not far off.

He has not forgotten what he did. But then again he knows his families and friends powers. They are not weak, nor is he. These Roman invaders. They assimilated the Greeks- fallen pray to petty ambition. Or did they? The Romans. Fools, however, it is not uncommon for mortals to fall prey to the politics of Gods. He would give credit where it is due, the Greek Gods have done well. But they do poorly to forget. The World forgets. Egypt herself forgets. His brother, his sisters forget. He will remind them. He will remind the world who was First. The Egyptians stood before any other Empire. And he was proud to be worshiped by strong, god worshiping people. Even if he turned evil in their eyes, He respected the for being wise enough to pay heed and honor to his rivals and family alike. It is the time for the Sands to Rise, and despite if his kin is ready or not- War has been declared- The romans seek to keep his people in check, and this May be the lands of soil near the Nile where Ra reigns- but only HE dare say he is Ra's equal. he is the god of War and his people, worshiping him still or no, require someone to waken the sleeping empire. He will wake them. In time.

All In Time. And Bloodshed.
Set is actually a pretty nice guy- As long as he has other people to preoccupy himself with.
<Snipped quote by Zahrale>

So, what, he wants to kill the Roman/Greek gods?

I think Qel and Set might actually be fairly good allies, since they have similar goals: To fuck with the gods who aren't Egyptian xD

Y'know, if she can get past the whole 'you tried to kill my dad' bit. Probably won't, but she can at least tolerate his presence as a useful tool~

Sadly he has a deep respect for women- So he wouldn't even see Qel, unless she was a friend.
Sets point of view? The greeks are want to be up starts who have already lost their people once- HE needs only to set up their downfall once more- Sets plan is to kill every Imposter first, those who stole his titles then those who claimed titles from his fellow Egyptians, This means he's looking at gods like Ares and Zues First.
I also assault your son regularly, AND I ate your manly bits. All so I could have a go at your wife, Isis.
A Sekhmet, An Osiris, and a Thoth

Correct me if im wrong but that's 3 gods already who dislike Set-

Wait, 4 gods, almost forgot Apep there!

Sekhmet, Osiris, Thoth, Apep, now all we need is a Horus Ra and Isis and that LITERALLY every god who dislikes Set and isn't some obscure little wanna be or pest.

This is going to be fun. Super fun. I have an Excuse to pick on everyone- and they already dislike me, So I'm not at a loss at all! Even have an excuse to pick on the Greeks, don't think Set has a motive or beef with the Norse though...
