#8dc73fPersonality: For the most part, Harvey is a warm and humble farmer. He tries to “live life to the fullest” and focus on the positive… perhaps to a “toxic positivity” degree. He is quite friendly in small groups but feels overwhelmed in large crowds. He loves his small pseudo-family of farmers and would go to great lengths to help them. Sometimes Harvey can stay calm in the face of trouble, but if there is any sort of omen or superstition involved, he can suddenly get spooked. He is
very superstitious, to the point where he’s willing to take socially awkward actions in order to feel safer. Harvey dislikes violence and does his best to respect everyone, people and animals alike.
Strengths: Physical strength – good at lifting heavy things. Plays a folksy type of wooden flute. Good with animals. Various wilderness survival skills – foraging, navigation, etc. He has the perseverance to keep going even after things go terribly wrong. And he’s great at making cheese! A very pertinent skill, no doubt!
Weaknesses: Harvey’s lungs never fully recovered from the plague. He gets winded easily and is more sensitive to irritants like smoke and dust. His strong beliefs in omens and superstitions can get him into trouble. Harvey is a bit naïve to complex social games, and combining this with his superstitiousness could make him prone to manipulation. He can quickly get uncomfortable with sad conversations and will try to redirect to a more chipper and shallow topic as soon as possible.
Appearance: Harvey may have once been a muscular giant, but he sports a more lean and wiry frame lately. He usually has relaxed, casual dress and posture. His strong, squared features might have been able to earn him the label “handsome.” However, his illness left him with notable pox scars that detract from his physical appearance.

Biography: Harvey was pretty much a normal kid with a normal life in the nomadic Dairy Kingdom. His family group was among the more literal members of the so-called Dairy Kingdom, keeping to the rural outskirts of their traveling nation. Sometimes the teen would wander deeper into civilization to hang around with the cool street-smart performers, much to his traditional parents’ chagrin. But he would always get homesick for the open fields and warm smiles and wander back after a short while.
To this day, Harvey doesn’t know whether he was the one to bring the plague from the city to the fields. Well, he wasn’t the
first to show symptoms, so it
probably wasn’t all his fault… right? Harvey clings to that logic like his soul depends on it.
Everyone was shocked when a lingering cold took a sudden turn and left a strong 17-year-old bedridden. Shocked when the disease left an increasing number of people fighting for life, drowning on land. Frankly, shocked when Harvey started to recover. And everyone… everyone left… Harvey was shocked when most people didn’t. At some point, the days turned too dull and numb to be shocked by anything anymore.
In the end, everyone in Harvey’s extended family was dead except for himself and one niece. She never caught the plague raging around her – perhaps she’s a witch or something, but frankly, Harvey doesn’t care too much at this point. A handful of others in their rural area survived, and the survivors banded together to take care of each other and their livestock in the best pseudo-family they could muster.
The remnants of the Dairy Kingdom moved away from the Cursed Lands and… life moved on. A less lively life, but people find a way to keep doing what they need. The leaders decided to keep their distance from all the other kingdoms; their reasons why were far above Harvey’s pay grade to know.
A couple months ago, the priestesses received a welcome good omen. The kingdom of Ilepia would be blessed and prosperous over the next six months… as long as Harvey Amos was not there. Certainly an unfortunate prophesy for Harvey. But if the humble farmer could do anything to help his limping kingdom, he would. He spent a couple weeks brushing up on his wilderness survival skills and getting some affairs in order before starting his six months of noble self-exile.
It’s six weeks in, and Harvey has spent most of his exile exploring the wilderness. On the rare occasions that he really needs extra supplies, Harvey will venture to the outskirts of civilization to do street performances for spare change. His next foray into civilization may happen to be a conspicuous time and place…
Trivia: Harvey has a traveling companion! A black and white goat named Claire jumped the fence as Harvey left and refused to leave his side. After a short battle of wills, the goat’s will won, and Harvey decided he might benefit from a friend on his journey. Claire’s hobbies include eating things she shouldn’t, crawling into spaces slightly too small for Harvey, and s t a r i n g.
Harvey’s niece recently married the Oracle’s grandson, so
technically he’s, like… some convoluted form of royalty?
