This new student seemed interesting to Elizabeth. She looked over to her as she introduced herself as a new student, someone who fell from the sky.

"We are currently less busy than we have been since the beginning of last semester," Elizabeth said. "I am Elizabeth. What is your name?"

Mathematics should be quite easy. It was, after all, one of the subjects he was most familiar with. From what he knew, mathematics were the same as they were in hell. As she said she would increase the difficultly until he no longer could cope would the difficulty, he nonchalantly said, "Yes, you do that." However, without his notes, he might run into difficulty when he ran into the advanced classes, but he should get far enough, considering he had been up to his knees in calculus, at least where his studies were concerned.

Other classes, however, were a bit more worrisome. He knew nothing of the science of the upper world, and on history he knew much the same. It was quite unfortunate, given the circumstances. He shouldn't have to much trouble in English, as long as Bessie didn't expect anything fancy. While he did fine, it was not his expertise.

To answer her secondary, more important question, however, Rowan said, "I'll have to give it some thought as to what direction I want to take."

If Bessie had nothing else to say to him, he would go

Rowan decided to listen to her, even if they were both upset. What he didn't admit was that he had no idea how to wash dishes. However, he watched Bessie do it, and it seemed simple enough. He took a dish and washed it as she did.

Rowan was waiting for whatever Bessie was now going to say now. Together, they seemed to have created a toxic environment. From what Rowan knew, it would not end until one of them retreated. So he just stayed there, sitting.

"Salutations," Elizabeth said to the boy she did not know.

They seemed to be enraptured by those pets. What a shame it was, to treat those creatures blessed with intelligence with the same type of fawning that they gave to the lowly creatures of Earth. Elizabeth thought that they were not nearly as accustomed to the ways of this world as she was, but Elizabeth gave no hints from her personality and demeanor that suggested this condescending attitude. She wondered when class would start.
