My power is out. The website for the power company says it won't be restored until 11:30pm. If that's true, there will probably be no IC replies today.

Bio

My timezone is Eastern Standard, in case you need to know that sort of thing. I am very much a nerd, I like videogames and comic books. If you just want to chill and chat with me about videogames and comics, I'm totally down for that. I am more knowledgeable about the DC universe, when it comes to Marvel I know very little. My favorite Superhero is Superman and my favorite Batman villain is Mister Freeze, but I pretty much love all characters in the DC universe. As for video games, I usually stick in the range of anything with a good story. I've played the whole BioShock series, some of the Final Fantasys, both Portal games, all three of the Batman Arkham series and a whole bunch more. Right now I'm working on completing Persona 3 and 4, and Dragon Age Inquisition.

I'm not sure if you can edit titles. Besides, all the titles that come to my head are all pretty much things like "Beauty and the Beast" or "Nobody Loves a Beast"
It was late at night, his father had been missing for a while now, and the government clearly wasn't going to be doing anything about it. Leonel decided to take matters into his own hands, he slipped out of the facility without an issue. He wore a black cloak to help fight the cold wind, that signaled winter's beginning, and be able to blend in with the darkness of the night. He knew better than to let someone see him, there were people that might recognize him from school or there might be government officials that will know that he's not supposed to be running around town alone. He was only outside because he wanted his father back. He didn't care that a beast had him, or that this beast could easily kill him, he wanted his dad to be safe. He didn't have anyone else in the world, and he wasn't about to lose his father because the government couldn't keep a handle on their own projects.

The young man walked through the alleyways. He had these maze like alleyways memorized after a few years of sneaking out by himself. He now crept slowly through the maze, checking every direction as he went to make sure he wasn't being followed or get spotted by another person. Everything felt so silent and eerie that night, it made him want to just run back to the only place he knew as his home, but he continued to push himself forward. The moon was high, and he didn't have that much time to be running around looking for this beast. He could only search where he thought the beast might hide. The same sort of places that he had passed by when he would sneak out of the facility and thought would be great for hiding away from this government. Places that he and his father could move away to and just live normal lives again. He knew that his father would have never allowed such a thing, but the boy used to wander around and think how easy it would be to get away from these terrible people.

He finally found himself in front of an old building that had been abandoned for quite some time. He stopped dead in his tracks and saw that the door he was sure had been boarded up before, was now completely bare. The windows still were covered with wooden planks nailed in and were left completely untouched. It didn't really make sense, but still it brought a small smile to Leonel's face. He tried to look through the cracks between the planks on the windows, but he couldn't even see a sliver of the inside through the glass. He sighed, the only way in was through the front door. He would have to take it. His dad might be in there. Leonel pulled the cloak around him and made sure the hood was pulled up and covered his face in shadow. Not that it really mattered, he was sure the beast had no idea who he was, and he was just there for his father. Finally, the boy went up to the front door and slowly opened it. His hands shook with fright, he knew that this was a stupid idea, yet he still continued into the abandoned warehouse..

He slowly stepped into the abandoned warehouse, the green eyes under his thick black framed glasses searched quickly and his eyes laid on the two men in the room. "Dad!" Leonel quickly stepped towards the man bound to the chair, but quickly remembered that there was another man, an armed man, in the room. He stopped dead in his tracks and looked over at the beast. "Wh-What are you planning on doing with him?" Leonel asked.

I'm the same way when it comes to games, but I have so many I haven't finished that it's hard to keep track of. My mission for my break was to get some of my games finished, but I haven't been doing a great job with that so far. Anyway, I hope the movie was good, and that your dentist appointment goes well.

Annie raised her eyebrows, before looking over at Aiden, "Do you just have a habit of making friends with the higher ups?"

Aiden shrugged, "They tend to not warn me before hand that the're higher up. Besides our head just likes me." Aiden thought about taking a nap in Jude's office, it was actually quite tempting. He could really use a nap, but he wasn't quite sure if he'd be able to wake up from that nap. He looked at Jude, "I really wouldn't want to cause you any trouble for taking a nap on your couch."

"You could really use the sleep, Aiden," Annie sighed, as if this was an argument that they've had many times before and she was starting to feel like a broken record. "You know that you can take a longer break if you need to, nobody's going to complain after all the overtime you've been putting in lately and I'm sure you'll end up putting in more overtime tonight anyway."

"I don't even-"

"Just, take a nap," Annie interrupted Aiden, "You need it."

Aiden sighed heavily, "Fine." He wasn't exactly completely interested in the idea, but he didn't want to argue with Annie. She also, was very right that nobody important was going to mind that he take a nap, though he wasn't sure how long that nap would end up being. He never used any of his sick days, and he did do a lot of overtime now. He was quite sure that even if he slept through his whole shift nobody would care, and would just count it as him leaving early. He would have to make sure that he only slept for an hour at the most, otherwise he'd just mess up his whole sleeping schedule, he was sure of it. Though, he was quite sure his sleeping schedule was pretty much ruined already.
Ah, I might have to give it a try sometime then! Those kinds of games usually perk my interest every now and then, and I do play a few games like that, though I have never found the time to finish them.
Benjamin took the twenty, and pressed the button the register that opened up the drawer. He started grabbing the change, mouthing the numbers as he counted it out, to make sure that the register was correct with how much money was owed. Though, it wasn't too hard to do the math for something this simple, he still double checked the math out of habit. He handed over the money, and for the first time making eye contact with the customer, "No, thank you. I don't have the money to hire an assistant nor am I interested in hiring one." He pushed the book on the counter back towards the customer and then grabbed his own book and went back to reading his own book. He couldn't afford another person to be walking around the place, for more reasons than just not having the money to pay them. He wasn't going to risk someone getting themselves hurt because of the bookstore's habit of summoning weird creatures that could easily harm anyone in sight. He also was quite sure that he wasn't supposed to be showing people that he was a magician, though he wasn't quite sure about the rules with that. The council never really explained all the rules to him before sticking him in this job.
Aiden looked at Jude for a moment, wondering what was so important about the whole situation, it happened a while ago. It wasn't like it was something that bad, and it was just a harmless prank. Aiden expected those kind of things out of the people that worked in the lab, some of them were rather childish. It didn't mean that they weren't bad at their jobs and it wasn't like it was an extremely terrible thing. Aiden shook his head, "I didn't tell my supervisor. I just washed off my face and went back to work. It wasn't that big of a problem and I didn't want to bother anyone with something that wasn't a huge issue." He wasn't exactly about to tell his head, who was busy with many other things about something that had happened where there were rarely any patients around anyway. The only people that used the lounge on his floor was the technicians, and there was a bathroom close by that Aiden had used to wash the sharpie off of his face.

"I would have told for him, but he was really adamant about not telling out supervisor, who is Aiden's mentor and best friend. He would have probably stopped it easily from happening again," Annie rolled her eyes.
