My power is out. The website for the power company says it won't be restored until 11:30pm. If that's true, there will probably be no IC replies today.

Bio

My timezone is Eastern Standard, in case you need to know that sort of thing. I am very much a nerd, I like videogames and comic books. If you just want to chill and chat with me about videogames and comics, I'm totally down for that. I am more knowledgeable about the DC universe, when it comes to Marvel I know very little. My favorite Superhero is Superman and my favorite Batman villain is Mister Freeze, but I pretty much love all characters in the DC universe. As for video games, I usually stick in the range of anything with a good story. I've played the whole BioShock series, some of the Final Fantasys, both Portal games, all three of the Batman Arkham series and a whole bunch more. Right now I'm working on completing Persona 3 and 4, and Dragon Age Inquisition.

It has been a while. I would love to work with something with my concept character 2, or if you're not into doing something with a vampire hunter, I've got two other things that I've been kind of thinking about, one dealing with another sort of concept character which would be a sort of superhero story, and another dealing with a modern fantasy world (fantasy world with elves, dwarves and those sort of races) with a group of mercenaries.
Good! How about you? Are you interested in an RP?

"Thanks," Aiden sighed.

"So, I heard you and the boss talking about transferring you to the hospitals actual medical research lab," Annie changed the subject after things got a little too quiet. "Are you actually thinking of taking the job? Isn't that a whole different building in a different city?"

"It's just talk right now, Annie. The boss felt like it would be a better fit for me, since I was originally looking to be more of medical researcher than a lab tech anyway. I'm not really sure if I'm ready to just up and move again, so it'll probably just be talk for another few years," Aiden shrugged. The head had been able to make connections for Aiden a while ago, trying to push him into going back into medical research since that's what he was passionate about. It was actually Aiden who kept pushing it off and deciding to stay in the same city, probably because he still had much more work to do. Plus, that whole deal in his contract where he wasn't going to be around in a few more years anyway, it'd be a waste to up and move to a new city when he already made his roots in this one. His heroic deeds were no closer to being done and he was sure that if he stayed a little longer crime rates would start to go down and he could save more lives. That was his plan after all, save as many people as he possibly could before his time was up.
Geez, I just had the same problem, there were only a few days I didn't actually check because I had family members over, but other than that it seemed like the guild was down quite frequently.
Benjamin did not even notice that the man had never left the store and instead decided to stay to prove his worth. The man was already engulfed in the book that he had been reading before customers even started to come around. He didn't really notice anything going on around him when he was reading anyway. He used books as his way to stop himself from constantly worrying about things going terribly wrong and everyone in this bookstore at the moment being killed by some unknown monster roaming around. The only things that could actually get him to stop reading was when there was a customer close to him and he could feel their presence or when he could feel the presence of another being that was not welcome. The presence of unwelcomed beings gave off quite a stronger aura than normal humans, considering the beings were usually magically summoned by something. He could easily just keep tabs on everything he needed without having to worry about it, but it still made the man worry even more about things. Everything could easily go wrong at any moment, with someone simply discovering that magic exists or Benjamin not stepping into action quick enough leaving someone to get attacked by some beast. These were the things that made Benjamin go on edge and when he continued to think about them, he would just be in a worse mood to his customers than he already was.

The owner took notice of the girl coming up ready to buy a book. He sat his book down and went about the usual of checking the back for the price and telling her how much it costs before plugging the price into the cash register. As he did so, he saw the man behind that should have left a while ago. The store owner glared at the man before looking back down at the register and accepting the cast of the lady and handing back the change. As soon as the customer was gone, Benjamin stood from his chair, "What are you still doing here? I told you I'm not interested in hiring."

Leonel did as the beast told him and moved off to the side of the door, keeping his back to the wall the whole time. He figured that this whole situation wouldn't last long, his father would be able to find the data that the beast needed. Then he'd be stuck back in the government building once again. He wasn't too happy about that being the situation, nor was he happy that he was in this kind of situation. Somehow, though, in his mind a hostage situation was way better than being left in a safe government building where he was given no chance to leave except for the times he risked his life to sneak out. Actually, both situations were starting to sound quite a lot alike, the only difference was there weren't as many people around and his risk of getting attacked by a beast again had just gotten worse. He would rather not repeat the whole getting mauled by a beast, the first time left him with a robotic arm and so much surgery just to get rid of all scaring and any evidence that he had ever been attacked. It was the reason he could never go outside again, because he knew too much now. He couldn't be trusted to go outside, he might tell someone about the beast project.

As Leonel's father walked outside, Leonel whispered, "Everything will be alright, dad." He watched his father leave from sight and then looked back at the beast. "Alright, so you got your way. Now, what are you going to do?" Leonel crossed his arms, the place was a warehouse, there couldn't be much furniture in the place, meaning there weren't going to be any beds to sleep on and the chairs were probably all wooden. There probably wasn't even a running refrigerator for food, or running water. The best that he could hope for was maybe a employee lounge that might still have a bit of furniture left, but it'd be old and probably broken down. It wasn't like either of them would be able to show their faces in public, they'd have people looking for them, and that would just end in disaster.
Oh, that sucks about having to reschedule with the dentist. I'm a fan of the Lord of the Ring movies, and I've read the Hobbit (I was lucky to take a children's fiction class in high school and that was one of the books we had to read.) and I've seen the first Hobbit movie, but I haven't seen the other two yet.
Leonel stayed where he was, staring at the pistol that was aimed right at him the entire time he was speaking to his father. He knew that this situation was going to be dangerous, yet any courage that he may have started with was now completely gone. He wasn't really sure where it came from in the first place, but he was quite sure that his father didn't have any courage in this either. It made it all the more difficult to listen to the beast talk and reveal his whole plan, that didn't exactly sound right to Leonel at all, beasts weren't supposed to be human at all, to want to know anything about his past was odd. It didn't make sense, but whatever was going on with this particular beast was just what Leonel needed for his way out. He'd be able to get out of the government's hold and be on his own again, something he had been wanting for quite some time. This was a way he could actually do what he wanted and not have to worry about getting attacked, at least not right away.

Leonel crossed his arms and even let a smirk show on his lips, "I'll trade places with my father then." The smirk went away completely the moment he saw the look on his father's face. He could see the disappointment and just how upset he was with the agreement. Like, he expected more from his son or at least a different kind of response. Suddenly, the thought that he'd probably never see his father again, came to him. It took any sort of excitement he just had completely out of him and made his heart feel heavy. "I-I'll be alright, dad. It's just until you find the information on him. There's gotta be a file somewhere, right?"

Christian nodded, "But, Leonel, you can't stay here with this monster. It isn't safe."

Leonel shook his head, "It's safer than the government building we're living in. Look, the man needs us, he isn't going to do anything to me that's going to risk not getting the information he wants."
