I LOVE GONE WITH THE WIND SO MUCH. The only thing I hate is how the media tried to maximize the love story between Scarlet and Rhett when she didn't even friggin realize she loved him until the last page. The real love story is Scarlet's love of Tara.

Love the Gone With The Wind fanboy/girling going on in here. I haven't read the book, unfortunately. Recently passed by it while I was at Barnes and Noble. BUT, I did see the movie and was pretty impressed. Definitely agree with the comment about Tara. It's even explicitly stated by one of the characters in the movie, I believe. And referenced through voice overs a few times as well. The media just loves the romance pairings which explains why things like Twilight and 50 Shades are extremely successful.

Never read either, and the only way I ever would is if Charles Dance read it to me… (See below video)

Have you literally been living at B&N lately?

It still worries me that E.L. James and I have disturbingly similar writing styles. Or wait, was it Stephanie Meyer? Ugh, either one doesn't sit well with me. /:

But oooooohhhmerrrggheerrrrdddd. As an aspiring voice actor, that man is now my idol.

Also, in due time, Yoshi, in due time... We'll see how tomorrow plays out. :D

I think what your talking about with the love of Tara out right said is in the beginning when Scarlet's father is telling her that land is the only thing worth living for and dying for. Scarlet told him that she hated the land then.

And that video..... I never realized how perfect his voice is ;-;

Yayy! :D

Name: Amelia Baker
Nickname(s): Millie, Mia
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Gang: The Amaranth Wolves

Height: 1.65m
Weight: 121lbs

Personality:
Millie’s not the type to be in a gang. At least, not at first glance. Any innocent bystander would see her as the innocent type, the sweet type. Not a killer, not at all…right? But Millie has blood on her hands. She’s not vicious by any account, or even very violent – she’s resourceful and she’s smart.

Short History:

Millie was born into the gang. Literally. Her mother, Isla, was sixteen, knocked up and homeless. Her parents kicked her out after finding out that she was pregnant and Hayden, who found the pretty young girl one night, crying in the gutter, for some reason, took a liking to her and brought her into the ranks. The wolves formed a protective circle around Isla from that day until the day she died – she was sort of their answer to Snow White. She would make sure they all ate and were clothes. Isla was even less suited to gang life than Millie is but she loved them for taking her in and she appreciated it.

However, Isla’s stay with the wolves was rather short lived. She died seven months after joining the gang, on one stormy night, Millie’s first night in the world. Millie has never been able to shake the feeling that she killed her mother. Hayden raised her after that, all the while seeing Isla in her daughter – they had the same warm eyes and dark, luscious hair, but there was always a sort of resentment there. Hayden, who had fallen for the pretty rich girl whose parents abandoned her when she needed them most, blamed his adoptive daughter for her mother’s death. He loved Millie, but he had loved Isla more. When he got sick, Millie mothered him like her mother had before her. She still grieves for Hayden everyday – having been raised with Angel, she loves the girl like a sister, but Hayden at least had some compassion. Angel is a ruthless killing machine and Millie is often her voice of reason.

Other:
She’s never killed anyone – other than her mother.

I've been putting quite a bit of thought into this. At first, I envisioned them being almost nomadic and much like homeless people that don't live in a shelter. Underneath bridges and warming up by a fire. A moving group with no real home. The other one was an abandoned warehouse or storage complex that they take stolen furniture, etc. and turn into a hang out. And, the catch to living there is to keep up your end of the bargain in helping the group survive. I think this is more manageable in a role-play. But, the first thought seemed more interesting to me. For now, we'll stick to this plan until I see how others feel. I'll also discuss it with Blitz.

I like the first idea more, though. Maybe like they hang around certain parts of town, their ''turf'' so to say? And they just chill on the corner and every group of friends within the Lost Ones has their own corner? Just throwing it out there, either is fine, I was just curious.

Ya Partisan is right, where is the "turf" for each gang and how close are they?

Oh, my reply didn't post. :/

@Stephanie96
I'll add you to the list.

@Irisity
I'm mostly concerned about the two gangs having equal or nearly equal members. Although, we are getting filled up nicely. I will probably close this thread and post the OOC soon.

@TreueKaiserin
No worries. I hope your internet gets resolved soon.

@Partisan
I'm the GM but I don't really have any power over that. Wind shouldn't have a problem with either idea, though. :D

@Irisity (again)
Given that the Lost Ones are more or less "nomadic" (regardless if they have a warehouse or not), they probably wouldn't be quite territorial either. As far as "turf" is concerned, you just wouldn't want to waltz into a gathering/hideout of the other gang. The two are in close proximity to each other. (Let's say, both in Manhattan... But I'm not expert on New York, so I'm not gonna be spewing out street names and stuff).

Oh, and because it'd be fair, I'm going on a small trip. I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon and will be gone until Sunday. However, I will more than likely be available in the evening if I'm not exhausted.

Alright. I'm going to say the Amaranth Wolves' turf would be more of the Bronx. At least, I think that's what Blitz had in mind when we first talked about this. And now on a revisit of this idea, I am making the Lost One's a nomadic gang with no "real" turf to speak of. They have their own corners. I'll say the emergency hangout would be the warehouse I spoke of. Not big enough to house all of them. A place they'd use when necessary. But yeah, their own corners for different groups. Different spots under bridges, etc. And, when I thought about turf. I'd say they hang anywhere other than the Bronx really. I was thinking Brooklyn, Harlem, QB. Any place to avoid the Wolves, but I see the Wolves as an advancing gang and thus they'd come into conflict due to expansion and proximity.

Yeah, I have literally 0 clues about where all those places are. :P I'm Dutch, so I really don't know. The Bronx is like the ghetto, I know that atleast. :/ Unless I'm offending someone by saying that.
