Glad to see you guys are here. But we still need Banbaaaa.

Due to a slight cold, my post will be coming a bit later. Though I did say a day and a half. Soo....either tonight or tomorrow expect a post from me. Hopefully ojr two remaining posters will get something up by then. *Well Thor has given the notification, just Banba is missing* I statted my post though so don't worry, you won't have to wait long for me!
....I just have to finish said post annnd I don't really have the mojo at the moment.

Hope you guys are having dandy days and such.

As for the back up plan that'll be known as Pirate Retreat or Jumping the Ship (working title), I'll see what the majority thinks before I give an input.

I do have this mocked up for you: http://pirate-age.boards.net/

- Complete with a fully-functioning back-up forum (you can see the IC/OOC)
- Complete with archive; as of now, the archive could simply be a dump for every current IC-post; by request, I could also make individual archive threads per player for their own assurance
- Complete with a functioning portal that includes a profile center and chatango
- Added community section that can evolve upon requests and give added functionality to provide more features than just being a back-up/archive
- Although wide screen users might find the size of the site a bit off, it's actually meant to be tablet-and-phone friendly; keeping it lightweight in the event of guildfall
- Fairly simple to use with basic BBCode and profile editing options; I choose it over other sites, such as weebly or zetaboards, due it its simplicity without sacrificing stability, reliability and functionality. No lag, little downtime.
- Possibility for expansion through Plug-ins. (I didn't delve too deep into these possibilities as I didn't want to invest too much of my own time to be shot down)
- I can also add and edit pages as we see fit to throw on the rules, wanted posters, etc or we could simply make individual boards for such.

Anyway, this is just a rough draft. I went through Invisionfree, zetaboards, freewebs and a couple other hosting sites to see which had the greatest ease of use, lowest learning curve and best overall look (as you might have guessed, I prefer dark tones). Throw in whatever advice or input you want. Fox, as a graphic designer, might be able to spruce up another more customized theme, or we can just stick with this one. Editing this particular forum is fairly easy, so I can likely assist in such an endeavor. My goal was to combine functionality with ease of use.

Well first off, you get a gif.

I'm impressed. I don't know what to say really. I know you asked me about it, but I didn't think you would actually do it. It looks great, organization wise. I agree, if Fox is willing, maybe we can spruce up the theme? This will be great for archiving things so they aren't lost and jist looking back at things all together.

But as a group, what do you guys think? Any questions? Concerns? Additions?

But really, wow.

I prefer dull, neutral colors. Using sheer contrast, they normally make it easier to read. Darker tones are just easier on the eyes. The original site Fox had also had a really good palette with orange-browns and muted red. mixed with some tans. My natural color scheme is just black/white/gray, though. I also experimented with some more complex color schemes and themes, but I either a) had to script them in raw text or b) couldn't alter their color from pinks and purples in the visual editor for the life of me, so I didn't want to make anything I couldn't teach someone else to use easily at a later date. That was one of my bigger factors: regardless of what I make, I want to be able to teach either Fox or Aki how to effectively use whatever editor it has at a later date (assuming Fox doesn't, idk what her actual skillset is).

We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

And nice post Thor. Ray is being all noble and people are having their eyes opened. I find it funny how everyone is like going through something interesting and our NPC is just like, "Well I know I'm not going to be a pirate."

Alright! Posted, finally. I added a mini time skip so we weren't dwelling in one spot too long. Of course, fill in that gap as you see fit. Hmm, depending on the posts, they may stay a little longer or set sail soon.

Thaaaat's all from me.

Ugh, sloppy post is sloppy.

Anyway I replied ^^

Alicia has now pledged herself and is now dedicated to rectifying her mistake, which means she's now dedicated to the StarDusk pirates ^^

Your post was fine Winter.

Also, don't forget to look at the site! Tell us what you think. It's our little Pirate Retreat if the site goes down.

Happy Halloween to you guys! Hope you get scared half to death or get a bunch of candy! Or, like Mizos make children's dreams come true.

And if you aren't celebrating it, have a good friday!

By the way, no need to edit Mizos. It was awesome. And so was Winter's.

I need to watch Soul Eater xD. I hope you all had a fun Halloween!

Nice site, Prince ^^! I'd be happy to help, if it's ever needed. I don't know much about coding or site making though, the only thing I use is Weebly and it's pretty basic xD. Haven't really tried anything else.

Soul Eater is pretty cool in my opinion. I just don't like the ending. It's not a bad ending lol it's a bad ending . It's just not the ending I and probably a lot of people wanted. But overall of say pretty legit. I'd recommend.

From what I've gathered about the Soul Eater anime, it ran into the problem endemic to animated adaptations of manga: it caught up to the written story. When this happens, animation studios can do one of three things:
1: Go on hiatus until more story is written (not profitable, so a rarely taken option).
2: Make a filler arc/season until more story is written (most commonly seen in the big anime like One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, etc.).
3: Make up their own ending (arguably the worst possible choice because its almost never is as good as the manga's official ending).

I believe Soul Eater took the third option, which is why the ending was bad abrupt, unsatisfying and overall more an end than a meaningful conclusion, like a crappy two-sentence conclusion lazily tacked onto the end of an essay (I hate writing conclusions, but I digress). They did the same thing with Fullmetal Alchemist too, which is why they made FMA: Brotherhood once the manga was finished. Regardless of its ending, I still liked Soul Eater.

Heyooo, guys! Just an update, gonna be posting tomorrow, probably late at night though. Past few days have been busy.

I hope you're all having a good weekend! Did any of you guys dress up as pirates for Halloween 8D?

Yeah, perfectly stated Thor. I still like the show, but that ending frustrated me.

And alright Fox. I'll probably have Nolan set up in my next post which will beee tomorrow- probably around the morning time. Or the afternoon time... Or maybe brunch hour. Whichever is more appealing.

I should've dressed like a pirate. Too bad I didn't. The weekend was great for me.

That song was terrible, but really funny.

Luro said
"Thank you for your involvement in being forcibly moved from one place to another, if you did not want this then it is too late to regret so now so please bear with it, if you are so...inclined direct any complaints or swear words to the end of my gun you insufferable sod,"

Somewhat related.

@Fox
Q: How do you make Nickelback worse?
A: Make the subject matter of the song something you hate.

I don't actually have anything against Nickelback, their songs are just 'meh,' but i couldn't finish watching that video because I hate it when people think they're being artsy and crap when they're just taking pictures of stupid stuff with stupid filters on.

Ray went from the most acceptable pirate, to Shouta, to sortve the whiniest all in one post. Shouta isn't gonna care about or remember aaaany of that, but he'll recall Ray ranting. The status of the first meeting leaves no one with a good verdict from the Rookie Judge.
