Over 500 Years ago the Black Order was formed in order to rid the land of the Great beasts who had subjugated humanity. Since Then the Order has stood defending humanity from all sorts of beasts and monsters that wish to destroy life as we know it. But even the Order doesn't realize what is brewing in the Shadowlands, and what terrors they will soon unleash on mankind. Will you join the Black Order and protect mankind from the creatures of Darkness?

Sounds interesting to start off, is there a tiny bit more info, or are you going to tease me! Anyway, would there be room for a character who allows their fists speak for them? As in a brawling type, as that is an archetype that I truly enjoy. Now I know what you might be thinking; How can a unarmed man defeat an spooky and dangerous monster? Well I haven't gotten that far yet.

Ohh there is a lot more info, got a 4 page word doc for the OOC. (most of it will be in hiders) but thats all you get for now :) As for beating things with just your bare hands.... Maybe spiked gloves? But ya the character should work for most cases just don't go trying to punch a dragon to death.

Hm. I am in the mood for some straightforward adventuring RP. Since you don't want to reveal anything, I'm going to ask some non-revealing questions because I gotta get some info. Nothing big, just the basics. 1) What races are our characters allowed to be? Can we make our own? 2) I assume this will be a traditional RP. That means with a game master who keeps things moving, like a video game RPG. What classes do we get to choose from? Eh, that's all I have for now. Will ask more if they come to my mind.

Spiked gauntlets are certainly a great tool, I understand one hundred percent. Suplexing a dragon won't be a normal occurrence!

Well for #1 its only going to be humans mainly because once you start letting people play as elves, dwarves, ect. I can no longer kill orcs, goblins, and the such just on principle anymore due to the word "Humanity" starts to get blurred and it goes into a whole who is good and who is bad thing and I want to avoid that whole mess. So were going to go good old Space Marine on it and say if it isn't human, burn it. And heretic humans burn them to. Now as for #2 wasn't really planning on going with a class system for it. mainly you describe your role and such. if I were going to go with classes I would go the basic Warrior, Rogue, Mage kinda thing and build off that.

It's your RP so I'm not going to force you to change anything, but I will point out that Orcs and the like aren't always human. In fact, I'm not even sure where you were aiming your point with that remark. You definitely lost me. Huh? So then we would make our own classes? I'm not sure what you mean with this word "role". I might join but, like I said, I need some basic info. Can't go preparing a character draft if I have nothing to go off of. How about spells and skills? I assume you'll be running that as well since you're the GM. Is there some kind of levelling system in place for new skills?

I think he basically means that your character is your character. There's no class; if he uses a bow, then he's ranged support, or an archer. I also prefer just real-time combat, and not skills, but that's just me. Dark Souls style RPing, I guess. Anyways, interested so far. In a barbaric hunter that hails from the frozen lands to the north. I've always wanted to jump off a cliff and slice off a dragon's wing, and then ride it as it crashed downwards towards the Earth, all the while repeatedly slamming an axe into it's brain.

The plot and other stuff I can deal with not knowing, but I kind of have to know the rules to, you know, make a character that fits within the parameters of the game.

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. I guess you'll have to use common courtesy and semi-realism, but maybe he has another system in mind. If there is a 'skill' system, hopefully I can forgo that and just have my character decapitate things.

There certainly must be at least a guideline, which I'm sure there will be. For now I think we can go along and assume that overpowered things are a no go. Any form of combat needs some sort of basis to follow of course, so I do agree with La Inquisidora. Perhaps it doesn't need to be so outrageously extensive, but a guideline would be helpful.

My guess is that it would be covered in the 4-page OOC thing. Let's also remember the standard "No God-Modding" rules would apply like they do with all RPs.

Well there was a lot of that sweet golden interest while I slept. I'll make up the OOC tonight after work. But just fyi it's going to be a while I work 10 hour days. And as for the guidelines of magic yes there are limits and skill levels I have dealt with it before. �
