It had been a long time since Alison had been outside of her castle walls and even longer since she had been outside of her country but the young girl was on the run. Climbing out of the castle window was rather crazy; slipping through the gardens without getting caught by the guards was nearly impossible and getting through town without being considered ‘out of place’. The blonde’s hair was pulled back into a tight braid, her body covered by peasant clothes and torn up shoes. Getting through her home town was easier than the rest of the country. For people who don’t see others passing through their towns, they take notice rather quickly and hiding her personal features from her country-men was difficult to say the least. Anyone within the country could recognize the princess if she had her hair down and gave her bright and welcoming smile but… she couldn’t take the risk of being noticed. For young Alison was to be wed to an anthropometric individual from a neighboring country in order to stop the countless amounts of fighting and deaths. It was horrible, to say the least, but she did not like the idea of marrying someone she didn’t know, someone she didn’t love and someone she wasn’t even sure she could trust. How do you trust someone whose people had slaughtered her people in countless wars? Their ‘fathers’ thought it would be a good idea to have her marry one of the anthro king’s sons as a sort of peace making… What kind of fathers would force their children to marry someone they don’t even know? Apparently it was her father, giving up his only daughter… It took a while for her to get to the neighboring kingdom out of the reach of her father and her future husband’s family, it was a long journey full of sleeping in forests and keeping herself as small and unnoticeable as possible. She brought some money with her along with jewels she could use as trading for money and food. The journey was long and she had run out of food. The nearest town she had entered to was well away from the country lines and had a vast mix of individuals from countries all over the area. This was a social meeting ground were most people were happy and marry. Alison had exchanged some of her jewels for money and was able to sit herself at a bar-counter and order some food and a drink. This town didn’t seem too bad and she could possibly get settled in for a while before moving onto the next town, maybe even find a job. After sitting herself down, she pulled off her cloak’s black hood to reveal her soft pale face and fair skin, her bright blue eyes scanned the bar as she awaited her food and her fingers played with the length of her braid over her left shoulder as she observed the many different types of individuals that walked the bar laughing and smiling and talking with each other. That rare sight of anthros, humans and others mixing together and getting along. It was almost reassuring in a way but as the blonde turned her attention forward and a large mug of beer was placed in front of her, she knew that she couldn’t see herself in that world… not that world that would involve a non-existent love. Or maybe… maybe she was just being too harsh… who knows. All she knew at this moment was she needed food and to relax for a bit.

Mark Devinchi had not seen the outside of his castle for quiet some time, Let alone the country. But, in his mind, Mark had no choice but to leave. Mark was in a forced engagement with Alison, the princess of Carton. Mark himself was the youngest son and closest in age to the princess so his father the king of Artheh had chosen him to be with the princess. The engagement was supposed to unite the kingdoms and end wars. Mark Devinchi was not willing to do that. Why should he marry the human who was from the same country that had been slaughtering his people for years? It did not seem right to Mark, let alone the fact that he nor the Princess would have any say in this, Mark knew the Princess would probably be agenst the idea aswel, so he decided to run. Mark ran and ran, he had changed his clothes. He was known for having long hair, wearing elegant clothing, and he had a white heart shape birthmark in is fur on is forehead which was why he kept his hair back in a pony-tail quite often to show it off. So, Mark changed his outfit completely. He cut his hair to make him less recognizable and he wore a light gray-brownish color hat to cover his birthmark. Mark did not have a special fur color, plenty of his kind were brown with some sort of pattern so he was not worried at all about what his fur color was. Mark obviously decided to ditch his 'fancy' 'proper' clothes. He got a light orange tee-shirt from a local shop and put that on. He got a darker brown-greenish pair of jeans that were a bit loose and he wore those aswel. He then got a pair of brown tennis shoes with black laces. Mark thought he blended in pretty well. His soft brown eyes were a little less common, alot of his kind had more green-blueish eyes. But, this did not make Mark stand out so he dint mind. Mark was running to a kingdom where he thought not many would even know of him much less recognize him, however with the marriage being broad casted on TV on plenty of News channels, this made it harder for Mark to blend in. Let alone the fact that he ran away would also most likely get on the News along with a search for him. Mark dint worry about that all to much though. He had two older brothers who could take his place, so why would he matter? Sure, he was closest in age to the princess but his older brothers were only 2-5 years older than him so it was not so unbearably wrong for them to take his place. Mark wanted the kingdoms to unite and end the wars, he very much did. However, he ws not willing to marry the princess of the kingdom that had wiped out thousands of his people. Mark was running. He had no idea where to go. He dint want to go to an athro-only kingdom because he'd stand out. But if he went to a human-only kingdom he would stand out with no doubt. He sighed. Mark did not know of any mixed kingdoms. He had however heard of one, so he decided to head the direction of that kingdom. It was a long walk and it took Mark many days of camping in the woods and acting natural, like he belonged there. Honestly doing that was harder than expected. To hide his identity more Mark had changed his name to 'Kyle'. Mark was out of food when he arrived at a kingdom where there was a mix of humans and athros. He sighed. He was going to continue running, but he felt he was at a safe distance. He went into a town and went to a social meeting area. There was a bar with food and drinks. Mark smiled. He had money, and quite liked this place. He decided to stay here for awhile before continuing to run, maybe even get a job. He let out a small sigh of relief. He felt safe, he'd been there for a day or two already and no one suspected a thing. Mark went into a social area with a bar. He was hungry. He went over to the bar, there was a human there. Mark shrugged. He figured he may aswel try to make a friend or two while he was here, maybe learn a bit about the area he was in. He walked over and sat beside the woman. She looked fine, dint seem like she would cause a commotion or anything so Mark chose to talk to her. There were plenty of others to choose from... but for some reason he wanted to talk to her. Mark went over and sat next to the woman who had just pulled her hood down. He ordered a drink and some food. More specifically he ordered an orange juice with a bit of alcohol mixed and a small plate with some salad, and little bits of meat cheese and crackers. Just normal things. Mark looked around, there were plenty of people. All humans and athros mixed. He smiled. Mark thought he'd fit in well here sense there were plenty of humans and athros. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, with a group of friends all dancing, singing, or just talking and drinking. Mark smiled, he wanted to make friends and be able to do such things aswel. Mark went over and sat beside the woman he had decided to try and make friends with. He smiled at the woman, She looked.. beautiful actually... She had blonde hair, soft skin, beautiful blue eyes... Mark almost lost himself looking at her, before he cleared his throat and smiled at her, his soft brown eyes looking into her blue eyes as he spoke in a gentle tone. "Excuse me, Miss? My name is Kyle. Are you from around here? I recently moved." Mark asked. The people around here had a bit of an accent then from his country, and he'd picked it up a bit so he decided to talk like that to disguise himself even more. He smiled warmly and gently as he awaited a reply from the woman who had caught his eye.

Alison had never had to deal with running; this was completely new to her. Going somewhere else, in raggedy clothes with holes and pieces missing was completely out of her comfort zone. The large blue shirt hung loosely over her frame and her lower half was in a pair of brown pants held up by a thick black belt. Really, all and all she looked like a mess and the black cloak probably didn’t fit her well enough. Pulling off her cloak, she threw it into her bag before setting back against the seat of the chair. A long sigh left her as she listened to the music. Her curvy form rocked gently back and forth in her chair. The music was upbeat, fun and delightful in comparison to what she was used to in her life. Not the literal music but the metaphoric music in her mind was always grim and dim compared to what was going on in the bar. A smile moved across her full glossy pink lips as she closed her eyes and rocked slightly. Her eyes popped open and her head turned to see the young anthropometric wolf sit down next to her. Her eyes expanded slightly in shock. He was gorgeous! He looked so elegant and graceful, not to mention soft. Would… would it be rude to ask to touch him and his soft looking fur? Probably. She shouldn’t be thinking something like that since people in this area were used to seeing people like him. But she wasn’t from this area and even though she didn’t want to claim who she was, she could still claim she was from her home country. “Hello Kyle, I’m Christiana, or Christy if you’d prefer. I’m new as well. Barely got into town in fact.” She said with a small nod and gave him a gentle bright white smile. Surprisingly, she felt comfortable talking to him, which, in itself was a blessing. Maybe they weren’t all bad, maybe they weren’t all out to kill her people. Maybe everyone just has their own agenda and it’s not to speak for everyone else. Her food arrived, along with her beer. Her food of choice was a steak of steak and red potatoes with broccoli. Smiling she picked up her beer and took a sip before turning her gaze back to Kyle. “What’s brought you into town?”

Mark actually liked that fact that he had run away. Hed hardly ever gotten to leave his castle let alone the whole country! Mark was very much enjoying himself. He has a good bit of money left, but no food. He would need a job. Running was going great so far for him. Well, not 'great' but it could be alot worse. He could have gotten robbed, killed, or found out. Mark was enjoying himself greatly. Hed met alot of new people, but was having a bit of trouble making friends. That was not his fault however, Its just some people really disliked his kind or something of the short. Mark normally shurged those people off. But, he couldnt believe his luck. He pondered why he had not done this earlier. Mark smiled as he listened to the wonderful music. It was so upbeat and happy. Mark loved this music. The music he was used to back at the castle seemed like funeral music compared to this. Mark let out a small sigh and smiled more. He couldnt believe the things hed been missing out on as the prince. Being locked up in the castle all the time, Mark knew he was missing something but hed never guessed it be something as wonderful as this. Mark smiled even more when the woman talked to him, let alone a human woman. He honestly had expected the human to ignore him or shoo him off. When the woman looked at Mark, he blushed. The woman was angelic! Her skin tone was so soft looking.. Her eyes looked gentle and beautiful. She had the most amazing smile Mark had ever seen. Her clothes were not the best, but Mark could not possibly care less. He was enchanted by this glorious woman who had caught his eye. He smiled at her as his soft brown eyes looked into her soft blue eyes. Her voice sounded angelic. Maybe all humans wernt bad after all, and only some. Mark blushed a bit more. He smiled when he heard that shed barley gotten into town herself. He was a bit dissaponted, hed hoped to get someone who knew the town a bit but he did not complain. The woman.. Christiana. She had an amazingly beautiful name. Mark grinned. "Whats gotten me into town? Oh, Im merely a traveler. I plan on staying here for awhile, maybe get a job... I have a place not too far from here." Mark said. He thought about inviting her over. "Would you like to come by sometime?" He asked. Mark smiled warmly and gently at Christy. He tried to hide his blush and feelings, but to anyone who payed attention they could fairly easily know of his true feelings.
