The RP has just started, but we are still welcoming new members!

READ FIRST:
Zelda Instruction Manual
This^ is the system we'll be using.

Our RP will revolve around the plot of Twilight Princess, retold as a tabletop RPG. Our characters will be a group of adventurers (and Link) who happen to be in the small village of Ordan when it's attacked. We then get caught up in a very big mess and become the only ones who can save Hyrule from sure destruction!

Here's the CS You'll be using:
(read the instruction book's notes on character creation)

Name:
Appearance: (A picture, description, anime picture, whatever)
Age:
Race:
Size:
Mana:
Stamina
Hearts: (You start out with 3)
Attributes:
Skills:
Techniques/Songs/Spells: (The rule we're using is that the technique costs 10 rupees x its mana/stamina/action cost. Traits will be approved on a case-by-case basis)
Inventory: (You start with 200 Rupees, which you can spend on gear)
Personality: (Optional)
Bio: (Your character's backstory and such. What are they doing in Ordon? Are they a local, a trader, or what?)
Virtue: (Optional)

Canon Characters:
(Incomplete list. Just some characters one might consider being)
-Link (Applied for-Duthguy)
-Midna (We're really going to need her soon)
-Zelda
-Ashei
-Rusl
-Shad (I'm kind of interested in playing this character)
-Auru

When playing a cannon character, you're allowed to alter them a little, but you should try to stay true to the character's core.

Sorry, I've been really busy lately.
Anyways, what I meant was that you have 200 rupees you can spend on gear (or keep).
So you can start out with 200 dollars worth of equipment.

Bright Ops: Chimerade has some pretty cool armor, though you don't list any weapons. Unless your plan is to punch things, you may wish to spend some money on a bow or something.

Yes, it probably should. Thank you for pointing that out.

I thought the same thing. The issue is that Chimmerade's armor costs 200 ruppee's and he kind of needs it to not die in sunlight. My IC reason for not having a bow or any other equipment is that he was forced to abandon it due to the early attacks of the Twilight monsters back home in order to not die (Or worse). Besides, there are plenty of ways to get your hands on a bow if you're motivated enough.

Very well, then. I hope you have a plan in case we run into monsters though. You'll probably be fine at first.

By the way, I"m trying to figure out how Technique costs work in Character Creation (or what limits what techniques you can start off with). I'm reading through the manual, but I can't find where it talks about it. :/

Honestly, I was kind of under the assumption that techniques and that cost ruppees. At the very least, some of the ruppees you start off with anyway. It's a choice between having gear or having training. I will be the first to admit that this seems to be something that should be reviewed (If only for character creation). I might be wrong through.

If you can't find anything there is of course always making it up as you go along.

What confuses me is that they don't say what the costs are, really.
There is something that says "Training cost is 20/sp, 30/mp, 20/action (action cost is only for songs)". That's kind of vague. Like, 20 points divided by the player cahracter's stamina, or what?

I think I'll just make up a rule for how much techniques cost. I'll be right on that.

That's kind of why I assumed it was ruppees myself.

I'm thinking we'll just have the rule be "10 rupees times the mana or stamina cost of the technique or spell". Traits will be allowed on a case-by-case basis.

Does this sound reasonable to everyone?

By the way, is it just me, or does Chimmerade's image look like a mideival version of the Winter Soldier?
Which is not a bad thing to look like.
