Sarah hopped off the helicopter just behind Citrine, looking around she took a moment to collect herself and draw one of her pistols. Looking up to see Citrine and Kym moving off she followed, keeping her head on a swivel for any sign of the dangers that were surely all around her group. "I'm so not ready" she thought to herself.

Estella blinked a few times, a bit confused by Zeph's words and actions. But somehow, maybe because of Zeph or something else, she was starting to feel better, even if it was a bit odd. It was as if her fears have washed away somehow. Following Sky's instructions and hopped on the helicopter that Nau was on along with the rest of her group. She tightened her ponytail and took a deep breath. This was it.

When they have arrived, Estella jumped off the helicopter and followed behind Nau, careful not to lose sight of him or anyone else. As soon as he mentioned the venomous snakes, she gulped nervously. Oh how she hated the desert. Her eyes were everywhere as they continued on, from Nau's back to everyone else in the group and from the distant horizon to the ground, worried for the snakes. She clutched on tightly to her hand gun, ready to shoot at anything if need be whether it was an Anomalous or a snake.

It was with quiet caution that Alda stepped out of the helicopter. For several moments it had seemed as though a sense of odd calm had muted her fear, but now the effect was fading and her heart was thudding away, shaking her chest, but it didn't show. She walked slowly behind Estella and let her feet fall heavily; she'd read somewhere a long time ago that heavy footfalls had a good chance of scaring away snakes. Absently she reached behind her and felt at the handle of her axe for reassurance.

They could be anywhere, she reminded herself, and it's against the odds that they'll be hanging around in the desert. I mean, there's hardly anything to do out here.

A desert was hardly the ideal location for close combat. In addition a side arm is going to have limited effectiveness due unpredictable desert winds and possible variables in the air itself... Zeph's thoughts began to try and build an idea on how to react in the rather strange local. Constantly she found herself trying to account for shifting sands in a situation that would require fast motions to react, but without actual experience in desert combat it was a fruitless waist of thought.

Instead of needlessly dwelling on her thoughts she had instead chose to calm her excited mind. It made it far easier for her to with hold the overwhelming anticipation she had been feeling. As Nau led the group she opted to stay towards the back of the group, the unease of trusting strangers with her back...It just didn't sit well with her.

"I think it would have been worse had we been at a beach. Out here at least the sounds do not muddle our own communication...However shifting sands do make for a good ambient cover."

Zeph did feel a slight bit of catastrophic tension as her clothes almost instantly felt constricting. Missing the skirmish earlier had left her unnaware of how much these garments would interfere with her more aggressive movement. Worst case scenario she could use the knife to cut the sleeves and slits in the legs, but this would likely....Zeph pressed on her temple as if it had a switch that would end her pointless hypothetical situations. Her boots sank into the sand, far softer than the Alda...who had been what looked to be stomping? Zeph opted to hold her tongue and wait for Nau's next instruction.

Dyana shrugged "It's just insurance, just means I'll be coming after you if you die, take that as you will" she joked and winked at him before putting back on her mask and then her hood. Getting on the helicopter, she thought to herself and looked at her cloak "Hmmm...I wonder..." feeling for a switch or button of some sort on the mask, she felt around until her hand pushed on a button. Instantly the cloak seemed to camouflage into the seat and her body seemed to disappear into the seat "Holy...this is the SMC-M12? I thought these were canceled in production...the amount of luck..." she turned it off and looked out the window.

An hour past and they finally landed, Sky already getting out, she jumped out after him and saw the rest fill out, Colt staying towards the back. Mason also seemed to stay towards the back, she in turn took to the front next to Sky and walked up next to him, her voice sounded different through the mask "How far exactly are we going i-?" Dyana heard a branch crack, her mind instantly going into battle mode. Looking forward, her eyes scanned the forest until she saw a leave move. Without hesitation she pulled her gun up and fired off a round. She moved to the side a little and took another shot and put her gun down.

One man covered in a leaf guile suit dropped from behind the tree, struggling for air before dying. A second man fell from a tree, his head seemed to be like that of an animals. Dyana breathed out and looked around them "Guess there were more than we thought?" she looked at Sky.

Tarvas advanced a little ahead, noting the two already slain tree lurkers. He peered into the forest... looking... and noticed nothing out of the ordinary.

Unfortunately for him, there was another in the bushes; one able to cover his scent and attack from behind, who knew the fate of his two old friends. He was also one of the few to have a gun in the entire forest, stolen from a patrol long ago. Standing up a little, realizing he made himself a target to the others, he raised his pistol and fired several times at Tarvas.

Tarvas had turned back to Sky and the group when he heard several gunshots and was blasted several times, first a few rounds to the back of his chest and a lucky one hitting him directly in the back of the head. He didn't know what had hit him.

The anomalious that had shot Tarvas attempted to flee into the forest, hoping not to be shot by others in the group. One down...

Following immediately after Dyana, Nya hopped off the helicopter and made a full 360 around herself, viewing her surroundings completely. She didn’t see anything abnormal but wasn’t really sure what she was supposed to be looking for. Each one of the others in her group came out after her, with Mason and Colt bringing up the rear. Both boys seemed intent on sealing the end of the line but neither would concede to the other. Typical males Nya thought. Right away Dyana shot a man Nya didn’t even see hanging in a tree. How did she even know he was there? Dyana’s senses must be off the chart. Tarvas was shot by one. Nya gazed at her perimeter again. She ended up looking at Mason, who was standing in the back, eyes constantly scanning the horizon. She jogged over to him, curious as to what he was trying to see.

Mason was trying to track what he could've sworn was movement in the forest. He knew he'd seen something - but only for a second. When Nya approached him, he glanced momentarily at her, then returned his gaze to the forest. It seemed he was not vigilant enough, as a volley of bullet took out Tarvas, not giving him a chance to fight back. As they were close to Tarvas, Mason instinctively push Nya out of the way, aiming at the gunner and firing a series of rounds from his massive weapon. He couldn't tell if any of the bullets had found their target, but Mason knew he wasn't too good of a shot.

He swore, turning to sky. "You're crazy. We're gonna fricking die out here because of you!" He spat, then returned to watching the forest.
