"Creamy center", you're brilliant. Let's give everyone a chance to get some reactions in. We're still waiting for two other users to show, Skepic and Light, I believe.

I will post tonight. I got called in to relief for a lady so I was busy today, and tonight I'm earning a little extra cash by helping out my friend with his job. After that I will make a post.

Positively metal! All puns intended.

Oh now I feel guilty that Lucas asked for more. Lucas won't really of course.

I'll post again later today after my class.

EDIT: Alright looks like it'll be tomorrow. Sorry for the delay guys!

BTW have you guys seen the leaks for DS3?

Someone had told me of this Dark Souls 3 stuff on my Twitch stream, boy they really are milking it aren't they? But of course, so many people wish to foray into Dark Souls yet again.

Not sure how I feel about a Dark Souls 3, DS2 felt somewhat watered down for *ahemcasualsahem* compared to DS1. Hopefully DS3 will take a turn for the better.

I hadn't heard about DS3 yet, Xcom 2, yeah... And oddly, I found nothing 'wrong' with DS2 by comparison personally, aside that i spent more time grinding than in DS1, and some of the boss fights were much more dragged out by soaky health bars or by multiple enemies at once... oh, and the sunken dlc boss that could summon other bosses without limit? 'that' was annoying as hell.

Sorry about the delay, my post is up now.

@Stella

It's rumored Miyazaki is returning to handle Dark Souls 3. Though I don't think Bloodborne was really a hard game so that might not mean anything. I remember Dark Souls 2 being a lot tougher at release though, a lot of the bosses seemed to be made easier in the patches. Lost Sinner comes to mind.

The new mechanic where you sacrifice an enemy to invade other people's worlds though seems a little dark even for Dark Souls.

@Shoryu

I too enjoyed Dark Souls 2 even though everyone complained it wasn't as good as Dark Souls 1. The lock on changes made a world of difference to me, and soul vessels, that I didn't really appreciate until I went back and played Dark Souls 1 again. And even though people complained about Dark Souls 2 it was the game people compared to Bloodborne, not Dark Souls 1, when they whined about it's short comings, in my experience at least.

I was wondering since we are able to die and come back how is that going to work exactly? In the games you respawn at the bonfire, but even though they make dying seem like a natural part of the game, they never really explain why you appear before the bonfire. Or if they did I never picked up on it. Is it something like you emerge from the flames like some sort of phoenix? Does your body get up and wander back to the bonfire drawn by the flame? I guess more importantly how will we handle it?

I was actually thinking of how we'd do that Lord!

The only idea I've come up with is that every single bonfire will have a keeper NPC, wavering in relevance to the actual plot. When we rest at a bonfire, we imprint upon it so that when we are struck down the respective firekeeper to the previous bonfire we rested at is made aware and uses a summoning magic; somewhat similar to using a soapstone, to bring your body back to the fire for her to tend to.

That's just an idea, if anyone has any others I'd really appreciate hearing them cause I'm not completely sold on that one.

EDIT: ofcoarse that doesn't explain how people came back before coming to Lordran and resting at a bonfire but let's not get into that for the sake of convenience.

Anyone have any ideas on where they want to go? I was going to go towards the Hellkite Dragon.

Regarding dying: From a psychological perspective, I'd imagine that dying and reviving would feel like waking up from a bad dream to our characters. At first their minds are still hazy, sorting through the thoughts and memories that last ran through their heads moments before their death, and slowly realizing that the memories are real, and not a dream. If our characters are still vulnerable to Hollowing, then perhaps the player could RP the character with slightly dwindling humanity with each death.

From a visual perspective, I think it may be open to interpretation for each player. Keep in mind how time is warped in Lordran, so a reviving character could just "pop" into existence near the bonfire. Imagine it like a cutscene centered on a bonfire with nobody nearby, the POV shifts to one side smoothly, then smoothly back towards the bonfire, now your character is standing/kneeling/crouching beside the bonfire, as if they were there the whole time.

As to where we go, I also vote for the Hellkite Dragon. It would be a great first boss fight to test out our characters. Also, there would be a Sunlight Altar nearby that area, which I'm sure Saira would appreciate.
