This just sounds like you want a medieval fantasy roleplay but you don't want to put any effort into making it and want others to do it for you...! It just seems like that...!

Yes this is called a sandbox r-p. The Gm acts as a rules enforcer while the players tend to do what they want.These kind of r-ps are defined by the quality of characters rather then the quality of the story, as such it is more open to characters and ideas from players with the gm just baby sitting, and or having a role in world development/there own character.

Sadly these kind of r-p's tend to fail if to many of the characters are bland and uninteresting cliches.

You got that you two dimensional edge lords.

It also seems to be at least in part a collaborative world building thing, which is something I always find fun really. XD But yeah.

He could always railroad us on a set storyline. Or he could do what he is doing... allow a little more freedom and world developed across the players so that they all have a solid say in how things are made...

Howdy. Let me clarify something for you.

I will be making lore and creating stories - I just want to see others make their own stories, add their own ideas and generally build the world that we haven't seen outside the RP. I could map out everywhere and everything, give everyone fixed races and abilities and guilds and so on, but that will quickly get boring. I'd much rather let people play as who they want to be, within reason, rather than force you to pick an arbitrarily selected list.

Does this clear things up? If not, please explain what's so off-putting. :P

Thank you! That's all I desired to know! I was worried for a moment, but now that you've clarified this, i'm very happy! I apologise if i appeared antagonistic, I was just concerned :)
