I got into RPing through a middle school classmate.
I forgot how the topic came up and how she got me into it, but I remember my first experience was through chat with a dice roll feature. It was awesome. We teamed up with one other person against the GM who played as this OP'd Neon Evangelion-type monster. My class mate was an elf archer, I was Daigo from Rival Schools(lol random af), and this other guy who became my first RP friend was a samurai-type from final fantasy tactics. I remember this battle took a solid 10 minutes but it felt waaaay longer - in a good way.
The moment that made me love RPing: The GM picked up a bus and threw it at the elf. She rolled an evasive maneuver (succeeded) by leaping up on top of the moving bus, commando rolled, then jumped off of it, all while shooting a critical attack aimed at the GM's weak spot. While that happened, the samurai whipped out a special move which sacrificed one of his swords to perform a powerful strike. A friggin dragon made out of chakra flew out from the broken blade and combined with the arrow as it hit the GM. My mind is blown trying to imagine all of this happening. So much so, I fail to realize that the GM succeeded in punching me through a skyscraper. Samurai goes out of his way to heal me. We go at it for a couple more rounds until the monster eventually dies. The next day, me and my classmate go crazy over what happened. It was an awesome memory for sure.
So instead of what seems to be the usual hello responses, I'd like to ask you: What is the most memorable moment of your RPing career?
