The wife @MsMellow turned me onto this and I've already read up on the IC. I saw you had a lot of hunters including a shifter and an angel, but I was hoping to introduce something else. I looked on a Supernatural Wiki to be sure, but Banshees have only ever been mentioned once in an episode and were only featured in a tie in novel as a side character early on. Since there's so little to go on I was hoping I could put a spin on the whole idea of Banshees. In my mind it looks something like Demons > Vampires and it's comparable to Angels > Banshees. So Banshees, at least in Europe, would be seen as the foil for vampires rather than werewolves [cause that's been done to death]. Usually they're seen as female souls/ghosts who scream before someone who has wronged them dies. The twist would be my Banshee is alive, and male at that. The rest of his kind [Banshees w/Bodies] would mostly still be in Europe and fighting Vampires.
I was hoping to introduce a character like this by way of somebody who would actually have an idea of what they were looking at. Maybe Rufus could discover this European kid and be his mentor for a bit leading into this meeting at the abandoned factory?

That idea sounds great! I mean, SPN itself did some of their own spins on certain creatures, so I don't mind you doing this one - sounds awesome already, actually.
Also, I love the fact you and your Wife RP together - IT'S ADORABLE GAH.
Oh, sorry about the confusion. There's warehouses on factory land, so take your pick. XD And I'm sure once he gets to know Roze, they'll be best buds. She isn't totally Human anyways.

I intend to make him new to the game of hunting and traveling with Rufus for a bit before going solo. Rufus will probably get the invite to your supernaturals party and my boy will tag along. More than likely he'll be born in Europe and be moved to the 'States by the age of 15, he'll be around 25-27 nowadays and looking for the vamp who killed his parents when he was in high school.
Ah, the only issue I have with that is Rufus. He isn't the type of guy who receives a mysterious invite and then goes to the place without any real backup. He'd be calling in the big guns, or just not bother going at all, because he's even more damn paranoid than Bobby himself. The only way I can see him going is if he doesn't actually go inside the place until he see's other people - specifically mine and Nightingale's characters, as being Neice's of Bobby, he'd likely know us quite well.
@MiddleEarthRoze haha thank you! We are both pretty into our different fandoms, and love to write so once he asked me to join the guild I couldn't resist. It took me awhile to come back after the site fell the first time..I had a few awesome games that I neglected to save on my PC and I was really sad about losing them. It's nice to be back.
Oh, I'm currently still working on a CS, and I am having a hard time choosing between all the different types of lore now haha. I should have it up by tomorrow!
Appearance: Roughly six foot tall, give or take an inch. Two hundred and twenty pounds, solid, lean. Sweeney's eyes are bright blue with a golden ring around the pupils. His hair is a little long, and he rarely shaves completely. The color of his hair is somewhere between 'mouse brown' and a darker blonde. He also does the Clint Eastwood stare into the sun look pretty regularly, as his eyes are sensitive to bright lights and too much sun.

Personality: Sweeney is pretty easy to get along with. He's usually passive and doesn't judge and would rather his actions speak louder than any of his words. He's generally a follower but lately has been going more the lone wolf route. He attempts to be funny but usually has a dry sense of humor and a lot of times people think he's a dick.
Backstory: Sweeney was born and raised by his mother in the 80's, but never knew who his father was. Only that his mother's job struggles constantly had them moving around a lot in Europe. After moving to the United States in '94, Sweeney overheard his mother say something about being 'tired of running' on a telephone call when he picked up the other phone line. They moved between six states in the southeast United States in as many years. His European accent now something of an amalgam with a few different southern ways of speaking, Sweeney toughened up over the years having been bullied in school for being foreign and having to put up with kids talking trash about his single mother. On the night of his 18th birthday [in 2003], after getting into his first nude bar and blowing half his paycheck Sweeney and two of his friends were approached by several men in the mostly empty parking lot. The men were vampires, and after tearing his friends apart they disclosed that Sweeney was different. He had a different smell, and they wondered how he tasted. Upon attacking the young man he screamed at the sight of the vampire's teeth... and the one directly in front of him exploded. Sweeney was as shocked as the remaining vamps were, another came in for an attack and with another scream Sweeney blew off the left arm of the leather jacket wearing blood sucker.
On his way home, Sweeney had no idea what to tell his mother. His friends were dead, he just killed something he was sure was a vampire like in the movies, and he did it with a sonic scream of all things. When he arrived home, covered in blood and still in a bit of a panic, the boy was speechless. His mother lied dead on the floor, a gaping wound in her neck and no real amount of blood anywhere near her body. It was the vampires, but why? Sweeney cleaned himself up, packed his backpack with clothes, and went to the bus station. He spent his last $65 on a bus ticket, telling the cashier at the ticket booth he just needed to get out of town and it didn't matter which direction he went.
Over the next five years Sweeney traveled up and down the east coast of the US. Every time he tried to settle down, usually within four or five months, vampires would find him. It wasn't until recently bumping into a man named Rufus that Sweeney would find out what he truly was.
Rufus explained to the young man that he was an old soul, the reincarnated spirit of a banshee. The fact he was male and not like the mostly female banshee spirits wasn't even that out of the ordinary to the experienced monster hunter. Rufus explained in Europe vampires were constantly held at bay by others like Sweeney. Reborn souls blessed with a curse to fight the darkness.
Present day, Sweeney just parted ways with Rufus after receiving a letter at his hotel in Bristol VA. They were on the trail of what they thought was two alpha vamps recruiting for a small army, but the letter Sweeney received at his hotel mentioned there may be answers to his father's whereabouts at the location in the letter.
Extra: Sweeney, as a reborn banshee, possesses a scream that can make vamps or whatever parts of their bodies in the line of fire explode. The scream also works like iron against spirits and dispels them. Everything else just becomes deaf momentarily, even those around him when he dispels ghosts or vanquishes a vamp. The banshees also possess healing abilities but it's a painful process, much different than the instant healing of angels. Sweeney has a weakness to copper and can't heal wounds made from copper as quickly as others. It's not uncommon to see vamps attacking Sweeney with copper wire wrapped around their fists. Vamps and Banshees can smell/sense each other, though most drone or noob vampires don't know about banshees. Only alpha vamps with ties to Europe know of their kind.
Sweeney is constantly seen in beat up Chevy trucks. No telling how much money he has in the bank, or if he just steals them and then rides them to hell and back before getting another. Carries a pump action shotgun and a mid-evil style broadsword that weighs over fifty pounds in his truck for sticky situations after tag-teaming vampires with Rufus for four months.
I saw one of the pics in black and white in the group shot, then couldn't find it later. Then got lucky finding it in color, with additional pics.
And... HELLS YEAH. Originally I saw the CS going a couple different places then it kinda started writing itself once I got the kid a timeline. I didn't even think about him being in shock from blood and gore at 18 years old or having to explain it to a parent until I was halfway into the CS and it came up. I've also been watching some crazy series narrated by William Shatner that gave me a few ideas for seals and the like. Are you open for suggestions or do you already have stuff mapped out?
And for the record, in the event of an Apocalypse, if I was the one up against zombies, demons, etc... I know damn well I'd take a big sword or mace or something and not just a gun with limited ammo. Sweeney using a broadsword specifically comes from dude playing King Arthur soon...
I'm definitely open to suggestions - because there are a shitload of seals, and I don't have a shitload of ideas. And if Captain Kirk himself is giving us help, who are we to say no? Haha :) You can go ahead and send me a PM about suggestions and I'll take a look asap; I'm heading to college now is all.
How about a trickster, Anansi..specifically. He is mentioned in one of the books...but it doesn't look like there's much backstory to him otherwise and I don't see a mention in the series. He would have the same type of powers as Gabriel/Loki, but he's much more serious in tone and actions. He only really kills murderers and people who commit atrocious crimes, but will definitely wield his power to trick someone if they cross him or try to get into a pissing contest with him. Working on some backstory now, let me know if that sounds kosher!
OMFG! So I took it upon myself to study up on the Supernatural wiki stuff and IDK how the next few seasons will be. Mostly I just looked at the creatures but I also saw something in there about Rufus having a cabin. More than likely my boy will have another cabin HQ that once belonged to Rufus in another state. I'm thinking Louisiana... if that's cool with you @MiddleEarthRoze?
