"Rise and shine Captain!"

Ugh...did they have to be fitted with those damn augmented reality systems?

Immediately, yet groggily, the woman with the ugly scar across her face was jarred awake by the booming, boisterous voice of their handler, Special Agent Johnathan Starker, Johnny Boy Evelyn had taken to calling him so cheekily, and much to his chagrin. She glanced about, bleary eyed for a moment from her rude awakening, allowing her vision to adjust with a few sporadic blinks of her ice blue eyes. She stretched and released from her lungs a rather...silent yawn, merely miming the action with just a breath of air exhaled, before shambling out of bed over to the stereo close by on the bookshelf, a small welcoming gift from the agency no less. Her finger pressed the on switch, and in a matter of seconds, the dismal hum of fluorescent lights was drowned in the mournful wails of Dimebag Darrel's enigmatic guitar playing and the soulful yet gritty voice of Phil Anselmo. The song, Hollow, it reminded her of those days, waking up to the burning sun glaring down upon her, the sting of sand and rocks being blown in her face by a shrill wind, the rumble of humvees and Stryker APCs past her tent, culminating with the distant patter of a firefight over the mountains...but...this wasn't Afghanistan. This was something different.

It seemed to be early, but since the facility was buried under the ground in God knows where, there was no way to tell what the exact time was, so it was imperative Evelyn hurriedly dress and gather her equipment before embarking. A sigh exhaled as she struck her pajamas, consisting only of an old faded Metallica: And Justice for All T, a few holes and tears here and there, and slipped on her black training bra, the gruff voice of Starker resumed in her ear overpowering her music, uncompromising in his emotional neutrality and precise in his pronunciation, though his well practiced American accent betraying a slight German inflection, "I trust you are well rested. Briefing on your first mission will be at O-Nine Hundred hours in the briefing room. Director Valentine will fill you in on the details. Assemble the rest of your team and rendezvous there. Dismissed."

Suddenly, the AR system kicked it into high gear after Starker's voice faded from earshot. In the lower left corner of Ev's vision, there appeared translucent, emerald colored digital numbers displaying the current temperature of the room, bone chilling at this point, and on the right, the current time. A flickering 3D mini-map also faded into view, a strand of light indicating the pathway towards the briefing room...as if Ev didn't know it already. She wasted no time getting dressed in the rest of her clothing, a black tank top and matching rip-stop cargos, along with her boots and her black M65 field jacket, then through the AR's earpiece, she contacted the rest of her squad, "Team, get your lazy asses up. Rendezvous at the briefing room in twenty mikes. Ev out."

"Fuck you!" The sultry sharp tone of Max's unmissable strong Spanish accent lashes out in reply like a viscous whip striking out across the comm's system.
Then there was silence. It had become a common reply from Max, especially towards Evelyn. Through time spent training it had become less common and less malicious, but nonetheless remained as favoured vocabulary.

Max, highly disciplined, had been awake for some time and sat upon the hard floor completing a morning routine of mixed meditation, stretches and strength training poses. Soft perspiration lined her olive skin making it glow as she slowly rolled from one controlled position to another, her soft rhythmic breaths washing over her lips with each deep inhale and exhale of air.

Truth was she was nearly complete, and could probably be the first to respond to the request, but she couldn't let Ev or the others think she had become soft or obedient.
Instead Max adds a few more difficult poses into her routine, challenging herself, building up a real sweat before going for a nice long shower.
She takes her time, her subtle defiance making it all the more pleasurable. Finally she gets dressed, not rushing her choices she ends up with some fancy boots, extremely tight black pants, a white fitted bandeau with a neat little dark bolero thrown over the top. A little bit of make up and she was done.

She checks her reflection, counts to ten, smiles a sinful proud smile and casually strolls to the briefing room.
Max pauses just outside to eaves drop on the convo before entering with a fake pronounced yawn.

Anastasia Udinovich looked up from the book she was reading, The Guide to speaking Hungarian, and listened to her captain, Evelyn Hunter, speak to them over their earpieces. Lazy?, Anna thought I wonder which one of us has been sleeping all night?. Anna rarely slept these days as every moment that she left herself unoccupied her mind always ended up flickering back to her past, the one place in the world she could not stand to go and so she busied herself with activities as much as she could. Mockery was also one of the tools in her aresenal that she used to help come to terms with her situation, thankfully Anna never said it outloud as people may not take kindly too it, even though it was not meant as a slight towards the person themselves.

Tonight was no different and instead of sleeping she began her usual nightly routine of exercise, reading and polishing her private weapon collection, which was a subject matter that always drew the ire of her superiors as they disliked the idea of having weapons inside the facility that weren't in the armoury. They also however, understood that this ragtag group of girls weren't your typical agents so they decided to give them a few extra liberties that other agents didn't have.

Over the years, Anna's body had adapted to not getting much sleep as adaption was the only way she could have survived her past. Needless to say, this never effected her performance, if it did she would never have been picked, and she could operate just as well as her other teammates.

Anna placed the book on the side of her bed, slipped into their offical uniform and walked out of her room, making her way to briefing room.

Well if this wasn't the contrast...

The feisty Latina's response was like a pissed off rattlesnake striking Evelyn in her ear, causing the comm to vibrate rather subtle. It was a typical reaction from Mad Max, a woman who pretty much stuck the ex-Ranger at the very top of her shit list the moment they locked eyes during their first encounter. Of course, it didn't help that Ev quipped about the bitch being less of a soldier and more of a fashionista. Typical of the cartel queen to take forever. Ev, already waiting in the room, sitting in her chair with a cigarette clenched between her lips, she was always punctual, respectful, knew to be on time and ready for the right occasion. It was what the Army taught her, and even after her dishonorable discharge, she still carried that same respect ingrained in her psyche. Max on the other hand...well...from what Ev could tell, queen bee probably wore her designer heels while she was slitting the throats of her competitors back in Juarez.

And damned she be if that wasn't the case when she saw Max strutting into the room, catching the lustful glances of a few guards passing by on their daily patrols, really taking in the splendor of the Mexican beauty prancing like a peacock. To Ev, A. it was highly disrespectful and unprofessional conduct, and B....was she a fucking idiot? The difference...so uncanny, it was like Sarah Connor vs Kim Kardashian. "Last I checked, senorita, we're going out in the field, not a shopping spree." Evelyn quipped flicking away her cigarette and snuffing it out on the floor under her combat boots. "Just gonna get blood on those fancy clothes of yours, beauty queen. Where's Anna and Muffy? I told them twenty minutes?"

Through the brief words exchanged through the AR earpieces Muffy remained in a fake sleep in that mess of a bed she lied on, her arms spread out and a big loopy smile on her face as if she were in a happy dream land since she was still a bit drowsed. She would have totally added her own witty remarks for her own amusement, but for once silence seemed to be the best response for those two. Muffy stirred all around in her bed, messing the blankets even more "Five more minutes mummm," she drowsily talked to herself in general in that natural signature Irish accent of her's. She rolled onto her side, stretching and giving out a big yawn before she tipped over and fell onto the floor off the side of the bed face first. Muffy groaned, rolling onto her back and looking up at the ceiling. She reached under the bed beside her for a knife before throwing it at the ceiling, where it stuck up there with a couple other knives she had thrown up there previously. ...What? Muffy's gotta have something entertaining to do here and there, and if she can't blow things up knife throwing is a pretty close second!

Muffy stared at the ceiling drowsy-eyed;...was there something important going on today? Muffy had to lie there and think for a bit. ...OH! It was that day! And just like that Muffy's eyes go wide open before leaping to her feet. Now wide awake to the remembrance of today was the day the team was going out on the field. The field! With possible...explosions! Oh how long it's been! Muffy giggled at a reasonable volume to herself as she squirmed where she stood in excitement, her giggle giving a tint of deranged at the end. From that point, with all the excitement she needs, she proceeded to slap on whatever clothing would be expected while her pajamas would be left on the ground in the already slightly messy room.

Muffy exited her room started her way towards the briefing room in a short dash with her hands in pockets and her body bent forward as if she was about to headbutt someone, which would make some passerbys jump in a startle if any, but with her dash being short her pace transitioned to a walk after ending her dash with a little hop and standing up straight. As she reached the briefing room, Muffy thought of something just a couple seconds before she entered. "BOOOOM!" her sudden entrance, that seemed casual at first, started with an 'imitation' of an explosion before quickly slamming the side of her fist to the wall, following a quick one to two second pause, "...I'm here lassies." The unpredictable had came to Muffy, and Muffy followed through. Usually when she would do something like that people would either be really annoyed or they would jump where they were sitting or standing getting at least some of the living crap scared out of them, which was better for Muffy since she ca get one hell of a good laugh out of it.

When Anna entered the room she instantly recognised a thick tension in the air between her comrades Evelyn and Max. Despite not knowing each other for very long a outsider could easily make the mistake of assuming that from the way the two interacted with each other that they must have long and bitter past with each other, but as far as Anna knew this was not the case. Not wanting to get involved with the interpolitics of the group, Anna ignored the tension and gave a curt nod to Evelyn.

And within a few short moments the tension in the air vanished as Muffy, their Irish comrade, burst into the room with the volume of a explosion, something which she seems to have tried to emulate. Will she be a burden? If she makes this much noise during the mission then shes going get us killed Anna said to herself as she looked Muffy up and down Lets just hope her skills make up for it Anna continued as she turned back to Evelyn awaiting orders

Evelyn's remark was the beginning of a familiar to and fro. They had had this same argument many times before. Practicality and fashion. Max would often return with an attack against Ev's style (or lack of), insinuate something about her sex life (or lack of) or insult the military's ability to think of clothing and war (or lack of).

It seemed she delighted in seeing Ev's face with each new outfit just to spite her.

The argument had become so predictable in fact that Max's rebuttal was but a simple sly smile of those red lips as she bends a knee accentuating the curve of her lady like hips. In that everything was said, but mostly she was saying 'Fuck you!'

She pulls out a chair away from the table, falling into it she throws one leg over the other as she rubs the arm rests. With Anna's entrance, Max playfully mouths the word 'welcome' as she uses her foot to swivel a chair around as she gestures for Anna to take the seat near her.

Muffy got an indifferent reaction, a tolerable smile. A hidden sigh. A tiny predatory flinch. It wasn't that she disliked the enthusiastic girl, (well maybe she did) but simply that she reserved the gratitude of her acknowledgment and attention for times more worthy or deserving of them. Basically when Muffy had pleased her or done something 'right'.

Meanwhile Max's attention bounced between the two girls, other things in the room, the squeak of her chair. Basically anything or everything that was not Evelyn. This meeting, called by Evelyn, would not start until Max decided it was time.

Late...every one of them were.

As their Russian sharpshooter entered the room, Evelyn returned the curt nod, rather ignoring the snide body language of the Mexican sitting across from her. Lucky she didn't go into her infamous tirade about the Army being nothing but a bunch of sexless, dumbass rednecks who only signed up to shoot things and blow shit up, otherwise Evelyn would be introducing her three favorite letters to the cartel bitch...CQC. So in return, Ev just shot towards Max across the table through the air ripe with tension a steely glare, Fuck you too, wetback.

She could tell this was going to be one hell of a mission from the start. How were these four women going to operate as a team when only one of them was a hardened soldier. Well...if anything...Ev was gonna do her damndest to make it work in the end.

Next followed a raucous bang against the wall, jolting Evelyn's heart to nearly break from her chest, yet her demure composure remained on the outside. Leave it to years of close calls with IEDs, rockets, and grenades. A bomb of any sort could detonate mere inches from her and rarely she would flinch. "Sit down, Muffy." She commanded bluntly to the Irish psycho.

Once they were all there...that's when Evelyn shook her head and sighed, her posture firm as she inclined forward in her seat, her voice taking on her firm, commanding demeanor, "Look....before this briefing begins, I want you to know I expect alot from you girls out there. There's no telling what this first op will entail, so I want each and every one of you to focus. We work as a team now, got it?"

"Attention on deck!"

The booming voice of Starker soon shattered the tense silence, he and his superior...or rather their superior Jocelyn Valentine strolling in. At call, Evelyn stood from her chair ramrod stiff. "Sir!" She was hoping the other delinquents would follow her esteemed example.

"You may be seated." Jocelyn spoke, her sultry, smooth voice quite the contrast to the gruff, grizzled man standing next to her. Her high heels clacked among the metal floor as casually she made her way to the front of the table, snatching up a remote and pressing a button while the women took their seats. Suddenly, the table lit up, the false wood grain digitizing into a massive satellite image of several continents, zooming into one in particular. "South Ossetia. For years Russia and Georgia have waged war over this one particular piece of land for reasons unspecified. A ceasefire was momentarily called in early 2012, but after the death of President Vladimir Borshevsky, fighting has resumed. Burning cities illuminate the night sky while bombs and artillery fire rain death upon innocent civilians...all thanks to an assassin's bullet." At this, there was a cheeky glance towards Anna with a wry smirk. Evelyn had caught onto it, wondering if it would perturb their Russian teammate. Hopefully not. "Your first mission will either be simple or difficult, depending on how you operate as a team. One of our UAV reconnaissance drones was shot down over South Ossetian airspace. The culprit is suspected to be no other than the Georgian Liberation Front, GLF for short, an extremist guerilla group responsible for several terrorist attacks across Russia, the most notorious being the chemical attacks in St. Petersburg and the massacre at Red Square in 2013. Your task is to recover the drone's onboard hard drive, which contains sensitive intelligence, at all cost. Once you have it, you'll exfil immediately. Agent Starker will brief you on the rest of the mission."

The map on the table dissipated into a cloud of shimmering pixels, fading into a view a 3D model of a large aircraft while Starker resumed the briefing, "You'll HALO jump by C-130 over South Ossetian airspace in the dead of night, landing approximately two and half klicks from the designated target, the GLF's forward operating base. GLF militia have a stranglehold on the region, so expect heavy enemy presence. This isn't gonna be a cake walk, ladies. You'll need your heads on a swivel at all times. Once you have extracted the hard drive from the wreckage, destroy the drone and exfil at LZ bravo half a klick due east. Any questions?"

Evelyn was about to speak, but sharply she was cut off by Starker, his voice commanding ever so...and yet...grim, "By the way, this mission is being played by Moscow rules, meaning, if any of your team is captured or compromised...leave them. Do not attempt to extract them. Do I make myself clear?"

What....?

No....no way that was happening again. Evelyn, she tried to remain calm, composed and attentive on the outside...but inside...it felt like a hawk had its black, obsidian talons clutched around her lungs, choking the life out of her as silent and demure she sat in her chair...yet her eyes betraying the cold, dark fear welling inside of her like a torrential rainstorm. She couldn't, not after....Gardez....not after what happened to Jack. No way she would leave another soldier behind. Then...it started...first the sounds of the room fading from earshot, the air becoming thinner and thinner by the second till she could barely breathe. Her nerves tensed, her palms perspired. The bombs...the gunfire...the screams... Stop it! She gave herself a mental shake, returning to attention. "Yes sir." Respectfully...but reluctantly...she answered.

"Wheels up at O-Two Hundred. Dismissed."

With a brief sigh, she stood from her chair, exiting the room with the others and returning to her bunk. Once the door was shut behind her...that's when it all hit Evelyn at once. Hastily she rushed to the bathroom, throwing herself to the floor as she felt the tingling, sickening sensation creep up her throat, the disgusting flavor of vomit now flooding her mouth and spilling into the toilet. She washed her mouth out afterwards, grabbing from the medicine cabinet her pills, just a few to calm her nerves, keep her focused and ready for the mission, just a few...to keep the nightmares at bay...

Despite Evelyn's best efforts Max saw the way Starkers words rattled her. She softly bit on her bottom red lip while swivelling in her chair thinking of how to best use that one against her later.

Finally her mind turned back to the mission, but not before she took the opportunity for some passive agressive slandering of Evelyn's title.
Looking to Anna and Muffy "You actually think female Rambo over here is up to this?" She gets up from her seat and follows everyone out whispering as she walks but keeping it just loud enough that Evelyn would hear.
"Try not do anything to piss anyone off too bad, hopefully we can swap sides when soldier girl leaves one us behind." "or at least we get a merci killing."
She adds in on a sad yet fake sigh, eluding to the horrible torture that awaited any of them that got caught.

Choosing Muffy, the one who seemed would be most likely upset by this thought, Max followed her a short way before stopping her by placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Fuck the orders, I won't leave you behind."
Then she casually strolls on to her room to get ready.

Anna tensed up when Jocelyn mentioned the Russo-Georgian War and the Assassination of the Russian president, a act Anna had been accused of by both enemies and friends alike but also a act she denies having any part in to this day, an action that cost her much suffering in the long winter nights of the Siberian Gulag. Anna was grateful that the CIA got her out of there, but that didn't mean she felt she was entitled to give them information, and the only reason why she was on this mission was because the alternative was death, which is why she glared at Jocelyn with bitterness.

Annas disposition increased slightly when Jocelyn mentioned that their target was the GLF. Anna was once sympathetic to their cause but when the assassination happened the GLF were eager to pin the blame on Anna, a "rogue mercenary that has no connects to the GLF", because in their naivety they thought they could both strike with a hired gun and not get the blame for it. Anna was happy to get back at the bastards.

When Jocelyn mentioned the no extraction policy Anna was certain that the life and soul had been sucked out of each and every one of her compatriots, she herself included. Anna was not a fan of the idea, many of her fellow prisoners in the Gulag were there and went through unnecessary pain because of bureaucratic decisions that were solely about cost-benefit analysis, hearing their stories while mining the salt always made her wonder what she would do in their situation of being left behind, perhaps she was about to find out. However, judging by Evelyn's reaction and Max's determination to leave no man behind she had faith that, that would not be happening and her comrades would have her back, as she would have theirs.

Anna, gave a nod to Max and Muffy and departed back to her room, to finish her book and await deployment to the Motherland.

Muffy smirked and gave a chuckle before siting down as ordered; she honestly expected much more of a reaction, and knew at least one of them wouldn't give much of one, but oh well. Muffy will have plenty of other chances, and she couldn't help but make a slight grin just thinking about the variety of opportunities. The variety of possibilities. Oh, so much fun was going to be made.

Muffy sat through the briefing with a foot up to the table and pushing against it to lean back and forth slowly in her chair. For the first part Muffy had a more bored expression, not paying attention and probably daydreaming. But all she had to hear was 'bombs and artillery' out of that director's mouth and Muffy was all ears. Leaning forward, head resting on hands, and eyes watching with interest like a little puppy dog. Her foot even bounced a little just urging to get the show on the road. Muffy listened on for pretty much most of it until the 'leave them behind' rule was mentioned. ...Ohhhh? Going hardcore, eh? Well alright then, if that's the way it's gotta be, so be it! That's just the way it is! Just gonna have to suck it up now aren't we?! At first Muffy was growing a smirk, having doubts the three other lassies would like the idea. Well that's just-- wait a second.

That goes for her too doesn't it?!

Well what the hell is up with that?! Although, if Muffy did get captured maybe she could escape in some epic way. Maybe with an explosion! Yea! Wait...how restrained would she be? Bah who cares?! Muffy cares...Muffy really cares. Would she be able to blow up anything ever again?!

With these thoughts passing through her mind Muffy's facial expression changed back and forth. From positive ones to negative ones; smiling and slightly nodding as if in satisfaction to suddenly glaring and maybe scowling. That kind of drift. It was as if Muffy was having a conversation with herself in that own psychopathic head of her's. Muffy turns her head to Max who had asked something. Huh? What? What's goin' on now? There's doubts going around? Nice. Muffy replied with the shrugging of both arms and shoulders and a sly smirk showing some teeth, "We'll see."

As Muffy stuffed her hands in her pockets and walked out with everyone else she went back to internally complaining about leaving people behind. The best it was expressed externally was through angry incomprehensible grumbling. Like, seriously. She doesn't wanna be left behind! Well, the others probably don't either. But still! Where is the logic! Now Muffy could really blow something up now. Honestly, she should be ranting. Man, fuck this bullshit!

Before heading off to her room she had started off in a slow, slow pace before actually going off. It was then, or eventually, when Max had Muffy come to a stop with a hand to the shoulder, some words of determination shared. Muffy didn't look at Max until she walked off. "Uh-d'awwww isn't that sweet..." Muffy mumbled to herself while watching her go. It was...somewhat sarcastic? Eh. She'll figure out how to handle it soon enough.

OPERATION - FALLEN ANGEL

It had seemed only a few spare minutes had passed since the briefing, when it reality, the hours had flown by so quick while she prepared herself for her first op, physically and mentally. What you Want by Evanescence was blaring loud over the speakers of the small stereo system in the gun range, getting her adrenaline pumping while she wrapped her leather gloved hands around a fully customized HK416, tango down foregrip, Trijicon ACOG scope, Magpul SOPMOD stock, and an AN/PEQ box, the works. The targets popped up on the range in quick succession, each of them she took down in several well placed headshots, some hitting center of mass, switching between semi-auto and three round burst seamlessly. She needed to be sharp, her senses keen, her reactions swift. Never did her sight leave the scope of her assault rifle, one by one tangos falling before her. She had soon burned through her fifth magazine without notice, quickly dropping it and switching to her sidearm, the black and silver Kimber Warrior 1911 nestled in her drop leg holster, peppering her last target full of .45 ACP.

Loading a fresh mag into her pistol, she cocked the slide and set it back in her holster, switching it and her rifle on safety before leaving the range. She was ready now, ready to get back out there, ready to prove herself once again as a soldier. After what happened in Afghanistan, she needed this more than anything. With only minutes to go before wheels up, she made sure to go over one last check of her weapons and gear. Her plate carrier and tactical vest fit snug around her torso, giving her comfort in knowing she had ample protection, although, she had opted for a more non-traditional boonie hat instead of her MICH helmet, easier to aim with. Next, she ran one final diagnostics check of her AR system, then, she contacted the rest.

"Team, Ev here. We've got ten mikes till wheels up. Rally up in the armory. Let's lock and load, ladies!"

Of course she didn't forget that snide remark the puta made in the hall earlier, but even so, a bitch like Max still deserved to get home safe, even if Evelyn was a pound of trigger pressure from losing her cool on the cartel queen.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once the rest of the team had arrived at the armory, Ev stood up from the metal bench, discarding the stubby cigarette she had lit a while ago.

"Glad you're all here." She spoke, as always her words laden with authority and inner strength. "So...this is our first mission, girls, the moment we've trained for. The cold, rigorous months we have spent, learning to fight, learning to survive and work as a team, they have led us to this very hour. Might I say, it will be my greatest honor to fight alongside you women on the battlefield, and I will damn sure make it my promise to bring each and every single one of you home alive. I know Director Valentine and Agent Starker said otherwise, but fuck that! Never again will I leave any of my soldiers to die! I'd go through Hell for all of you, even you Maxine. And...I expect you to do the same, not just for me, but for all your sisters in arms. I can't guarantee this first outing will be easy, but if we work together, watch each other's backs, we'll make it home safe and sound. Let's gear up. We've only got a few minutes."

Despite the tension, nerves and excitement of the first mission Max still held her nonchalant catty attitude.
With a loud exasperated yawn and rolling of her eyes she interrupts Evylnn's important speech and shows she isn't buying her fake military style hype. She interrupts on multiple occasions with her sassy attitude.
Always trying to tear down Evelyn's leadership.

"Glad you're all here."

"Well it's here or dead.."

"So...this is our first mission, girls, the moment we've trained for. The cold, rigorous months we have spent, learning to fight, learning to survive and work as a team, they have led us to this very hour. Might I say, it will be my greatest honor to fight alongside you women on the battlefield, and I will damn sure make it my promise to bring each and every single one of you home alive."

"is that what you told your last crew?"

"I know Director Valentine and Agent Starker said otherwise, but fuck that! Never again will I leave any of my soldiers to die!"

"Who are you kidding? We know you are all orders"

"I'd go through Hell for all of you, even you Maxine. And...I expect you to do the same, not just for me, but for all your sisters in arms. I can't guarantee this first outing will be easy, but if we work together, watch each other's backs, we'll make it home safe and sound. Let's gear up. We've only got a few minutes."

Max turns to the other girls,
"just incase, don't fall behind. "

Anna observed Max and Ev play out their now usual feud and as she watched them she wondered if they would ever back down from attacking each other, some may have called Anna naive to think this but she knew that the battlefeild can forge the strongest of bonds. In the meantime the best Anna could do for herself would be to stay out of their way and distance herself from their interpolitics as much as possible.

It did reassure her however that despite the pairs bluster and bluff they both seemed to take the secruity and protection of the team very seriously. Giving a nod to both their promises of protection, Anna moved to equip the battle gear as well as making additional final adjustments.

The clock was ticking and the hour was near. Well, more like the timer was ticking. Ticking down. Only thing to pass the minutes now was gearing up, the fun part, and a 'motivational' speech from the captain herself. Muffy was kept entertained by Max's almost constant comments, though. She was even tempted to laugh from a couple but half-resisted by covering her mouth with her hand; she couldn't deny how quick-witted that sounded. Man this was going to be good, wasn't it? Muffy knew that the end of this was going to be determinant by the teamwork of this distinct group, making Muffy aware of her own future reckless and careless moves. ...No guarantees that'll actually stop her from doing so, if known well. Although Muffy was curious about the ending, she cared much more about the climax right now.

"Yea yea lassies. Work as a team, stick together, don't fuck up, that kind of gist right?" Muffy was replied in general after the two ladies were done with some kind of smug smirk on her face. Crossing her arms, she snickered a bit. Not making general eye contact to anyone as her smirk became a small grin, and slowly wrapping an index finger around her chin, "Don't worry."

The unpredictable sometimes likes to make Muffy seem...vague. On what she's thinking at least. Or maybe just everything! The unpredictable does a lot in plenty of varieties. It's Muffy. What do you expect? People might, more like probably, not ever be sure. Except explosions and knives, maybe. Those can be given. Still, Muffy's statement gave a small hue of...confirmation.

Speaking of which, as Muffy flicks her gaze to the variety of the armory without thought, where those grenades at?!

Typical reactions from all, Max's constant biting tongue laden with the searing venom of a desert serpent, Muffy doing her best impersonation of an Irish Harley Quinn after rough sex with the Joker, and of course...Anna not saying a single word, rather just giving her accustomed nod. Most of Maxine's comments Evelyn had ignored as she pressed on to boost the morale of her troops, but still they stuck to her as cactus thorns embedded deep and burning in her flesh. Her teeth grit, she shot a scathing glare to the Mexican before turning to tend to their resident psycho. "Just remember, Muffy...save the fireworks for later." She said, her stern demeanor cracking a bit to give a small smile. "The rest of you, lock and load!" But it was back again. "We get that DSM! We go home! Hooah? Let's go!" And with that, she resumed gathering the rest of her loadout.

--------------MINUTES LATER---------------------

*static* Overlord, this is Warbird 5-1, we are entering South Ossettian airspace, over.

Copy Warbird. Thirty seconds to drop off.

Copy.

"Thirty seconds, ladies!"

The pilot shouted over the roaring engines droning in the fuselage of the massive C-130 carrier, a constant buzz that culminated with the distant patter of artillery and small arms fire erupting on the ground below and the creaking and rattling of the plane. Were there to be any windows in this bird of metal and circuitry, the women would lie witness...to chaos, a sea of fire belching forth black, towering plumes of smoke as the tracers of several AA guns and rocket fire exploded with several blinding lights in the thick opaqueness of a cold winter night over Georgia.

But despite all the noise, all the clatter, a tense silence fell upon all four women. Evelyn, her trademark Marlboro clenched tight between her dry, cracked lips, she took one final drag of the cigarette before discarding it on the ground and snuffing it out under the heel of her boot. With a racking of the charging handle on her 416, she gave a curt nod to the others, a silent but firm gesture ordering them to stand. "Ten seconds!" She hollered, rising to her feet, just as the gears began to whir, metal began to groan, and the loading ramp of the C-130 slowly descended, giving way to the howling white noise of the winds high above. "Once we make landfall, regroup immediately! Got it?"

Then finally....the green light!

"GO! GO! GO!"

This is what she lived for, the rush, the adrenaline screaming through every vein, every pore of her body. Out the door they ran, leaping into the thin air, soaring as angels of death over the warzone. The chilled, icy winds whipped across their face, faster and faster their bodies descending from the sky to the ground below soaked in rain and blood. Finally, Evelyn yanked her ripcord, and with such a force she was yanked upwards as her parachute unfurled, gradually halting her swift freefall into a smooth ride....landing in the midst of a pine thicket. Once she was at a safe distance to drop, she immediately unclipped her parachute and fell to the forest floor, landing on booth feet.

Anna looked over the wintery landscape that encompassed the Georgian hills and forestry and breathed in once again that distinct slavic air that every East European remembers from their childhood, something that outsiders would not be able to fully understand. It was the air that carried the smell of both hot food and prey alike that orphans and hunters would go and hunt for. It was the wind, oh that terrible wind, that blasted through the holes in your windows to create even mightier holes in your dingy Soviet era apartment. No one but the other Slavs knew what it was like to live behind the Iron curtain.

Anna was getting nostalgic again, so she glanced at her new weapon while she was waiting for the go ahead. She supposed that one benefit of working with the CIA is that they had one of the largest armoury and range of weapons in the world, which meant that Anna no longer had to use the old Soviet Dragunov SVD, even though at one point it was best in the world, and could finally upgrade to something modern and sophisticated like the British AS50, with such power at her fingertips her enemies would no doubt fall at her will. This is what Anna liked, to live in the present.

Speaking of the present it looked like they were about to make touch down. Ev put out her cigarette and stood up which Anna followed in doing so. Ev shouted at them and the green light flashed a go ahead which proceeded in Ev taking the lead in jumping out the plane. Anna briefly checked the straps around her and steeled herself for the jump down. She gave a last nod to Max and Muffy and dived out the helicopter. With the Slavic air brushed against her more intense then she had ever experienced Anna was reluctant to pull on the parachute and glid down gracefully, then again the points of those trees looked rather unappealing to land land on so she made the wise decision to pull on the strings.

Two loud thuds, and with two more yet to come, echoed through the trees disturbing a few birds as Ev and Anna made their landing. Anna landed several trees across from Ev, so she detached the parachute, deciding it could be retrieved by the CIA later, and made her way over to Evelyn and then stood there in silence as she awaited further commands.
