So, first off. Yes, Loki is definitely a criminal... and a bad guy, ass hole, chauvenist, antagonist, liar, cheat, con man, murderer, [insert any number or malevolent characteristics here].
BUUUUTTT....
He is also incredibly intelligent and
clever. He'd be a pretty rubbish criminal if people could tell that he was a bad guy just through talking to him. He might have his shady side, but he is very charismatic and careful in his conversations with people. Loki doesn't actually deal the drugs that make him rich, either, that is a low-ranking job, far, FAR below his status. Loki is the mastermind behind the business, the man on top so-to-speak. The men and women who deal his drugs do not know his true name or even what he looks like (making the slimy bastard all the more hard to catch!).
I do want him to have love-hate and sometimes mostly just hate relationships with the other characters in this roleplay (why else would I be playing such a shithead?)... but let that be based off of his abrasive personality, not your OOC knowledge of what he does for a living. As far as most of your characters are concerned (
@McHaggis's Alistair being the only canon exception), Loki is nothing more than a research chemist with rich, dead parents, a combination that helped him afford his cozy abode on Avalon Point.
If that is going to change, which it can, I expect some
incredibly good police work to take place IC. Because, once the cops connect the dots, I can't list a
single reason why Loki wouldn't be locked up in the highest security prison supernaturals could be thrown into. For life (an incredibly long sentence for an immortal. XD). And that means I'd have to let go of my lovely character, which I am not willing to do unless someone blows my mind with in character posts on how they figured him out. :p
