Dragon Age: Just spitballing some ideas

This is a bit different than most interest checks out there, at least from the ones I usually post up, seeing as it more of a drawing board than an actual advertisement. To make a long story short a interesting RP me and a few other people were in started off only to meet the sad fate that all too many RPs meet, failing to take off after launch. So in an attempt to remedy this unfortunate out come I'm making this little post so anyone who is still interested from the former RP and myself can hash out some ideas to revive and remake the RP as well as keep it from following the path of its predecessor. Anyone is more than welcome to join us, but I like I said before this is more of a brainstorming session at the moment than anything. The only thing that is completely set in stone is that this RP will be taking place in the Dragon Age universe, anything besides that is up in the air at the moment.

I'll definitely have my eye on this, if not a player. I would say try having it in the period before Inquisition, as that frees up character histories and possibilities more

Wow so much outside interest, I'm genuinely surprised honestly to have gotten people here with that post I made. But I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth so welcome all!

@The Fated Fallen I was actually thinking the same thing, as great of a game as Inquisition is all of the earth shattering events going on it makes it a tad difficult to focus on the stories of the actual RP characters.

I actually came up with a little idea as I was looking over some old Dragon Age stuff, namely the character Isabela. Would anyone be interested in becoming a member of a merry band of sea explores that sail the waters around Thedas looking for fame, fortune, and adventure? Again just a random idea that came to mind.

That's a great area to explore, players don't need to be massively into Dragon Age to understand what's going on and since there isn't a lot of canon for this kind of stuff there'll be some great improv world building to do!

@CrystalCHTriple If we go with the whole sea adventure angle I don't see why our magic wielding friends can't come along, life on the seas can be treacherous so it is pretty wise to have a guy who can hurl fire balls on your side XD Honestly though mages are more than welcomed and I will leave your character's backstory up to you, just don't get too out of hand =)

The more I think about it the more I like this little pirate idea

Firstly, I wanna say thanks for tagging me. I just got done moving and am living in a temporary place so my head is aaall muddled. But I was looking forward to that DA RP we were all in and I'd love to get into one.

Damn, and I think I just put my Dragon Age lore book in storage
But I have been waiting for a Pirate-esque RP so to speak. I am all in. In fact if the timeline is a bit after Origins, my Ferelden soldier I made previously would do well as a character.

As for how pirate we go can be discussed here, we can go anywhere from just sea fairing adventures to full on ocean bandits.
