I'd say bat thing first, then when we get back New Hope can be like "Holy shit ghouls just moved into the nearby area and they've already killed five people" or something like that.

Or we just say "See ya!" and go to a new settlement that has the ghoul problem.

Okay, so Bat-thing, then? It could even be like the Alpha and have smaller versions of itself in the nesting area to make it more interesting.

I think for places for it to be could be:


  • Motel
  • Hotel
  • Drive In Theater
  • A Small Mall
  • Super deep cave system

A small shopping centre seems like an entertaining idea, maybe have it as a post war market that had gone dark.

However the motel could make a decent enough little home area for the characters, big enough to accommodate everyone but small enough that they can keep the thing defended with walls of corvegas and so on. We could go with the Dawn of the Dead style of taking over a shopping centre but that seems impractical really.

Well if we're looking to set up a new settlement, the large-ness of a shopping center seems like a great idea. Plus there could be a few cool quests to go around that, setting up power, finding suitable water, picking a store to live in, exploring the parking garage underground, remodeling, etc. Could be really fun! Maybe we go to the drive in theater, hunt the thing, see the mall and think "Paradise!" but discover that there is a feral-ghoul hideout that is spilling into the mall. We soon find out that the underground garage is connected to a motel full of ghouls? Fit everyone's idea into it?

Any reason there hasn't been any posts the last few days? I expected things to slow down for July 4th, but we should be passed that now, and no activity makes me a sad ProPro. :(
