I think I understand the interest check system a bit better now. Thanks for pointing that out for me.

Regarding multiversal travel, how does that work? Is it the same as the RP that this is descended from? I read the information post for that and plan on reading more of the RP to get a better context for here. I know terminals are the big method of travel to and from other worlds, but do other means exist?

Also, Arcadia is geographically like Earth, so what parts of it could I have a potential faction show up at to base themselves in? Where are the big three factions established at on Earth? I'll try to make a small outline of what I want to create to see if the concept is good before I go any further, but I feel answers to these questions may help me out a lot in doing that quickly.

Swords can't slice planets in half. Measuring his attack power isn't really fair, since the larger part of his damage is non-physical, but as he was able to physically harm Tamamo during part 2 I would say he is at least mountain-buster level in terms of raw strength, using Gnome. Probably quite a bit higher.

Of course, that doesn't actually mean he breaks mountains. That's not how swords work. But, his blows most definitely contain the strength required to "break/topple a mountain".

Quadruple and Sextuple Giga both leave pretty much nothing where they are directed. They reshape the landscape, and leave a massive rift across the cutting path of the blow. Quadruple left a massive ravine across the field where he first used it, and future uses were more than capable of demolishing large sections of a castle. I have no doubt in my mind that Sextuple Giga can dissect a mountain, levelling parts of it in the meantime.

Sword of the Heavens is a good deal stronger than Quadruple Giga, but it's more concentrated, so the end result is less destruction - more damage. Swords aren't made for big, destructive attacks. The same goes for Daystar, which is non-physical, but is more or less on par with being hit struck by several meteorites of comprised of holy energy.

Where they last led off,

Conquerors were situated in California. And, by now would most likely have about half of the geographical US.

The Imperium of man was situated in New York, and would most likely have the same, about half of the Geographical US. (Assumptions, of course.)

The outliners themselves never really held any land. Rather, they were situated within the Ethereals ships, and a shadow dimension created to hide both in and out of the territory of the other factions. At one point they did have Conablum labs as a base, but, considering betrayal, they obviously don't have that anymore

Furthermore, aside from small Colonies or outposts for expeditionary reasons, I assume the rest of Arcadia would be a no mans land. Cities would still be smoldering, the wilds would be filled with creatures from all sorts of universes that leaked in, all in all rather dangerous.

Except sweden. Sweden became Kolonland. As the Kolons multiplied, they became too much to handle, and so all three factions collectively dumped all but the twelve original Kolons there with Blueprints, metals, and shovels and let them do their thing.

Their thing being, explosions. Explosions, all the time.

There are alternate means of multiversal travel. All precedented methods are described here:

- Terminals
the use of specific devices that house inter-universal connections, allowing any user to instantly move to the connected universe. Any one terminal connects to another specific terminal in that other universe. Terminals often adopt a form native to a particular universe. Known terminals are a nuclear power plant in Sweden, a toy train in New York, and I believe I recall a featureless orb being used by the Ethereal (although that may have been an orb containing a terminal). It is unknown if living beings can be terminals, nor if they would be able to 'use' themselves.

- Adjacent Universe
Often, franchises contain multiple 'planes', 'universes', or 'dimensions'. Within that franchise one is able to travel between these universes in methods detailed in that particular franchise. These are usually considered adjacent universes, universes so close to one another that travel between them is possible without a terminal. Examples are Accel World, Narnia, and the Warp. Being able to move between such adjacent universes does not constitute true multiversal travel.

- Barrier Breaking
All universes are surrounded by a sort of barrier. It's possible for immense amounts of energy to break through this barrier, ejecting people into the space between universes. Due to the anomalous nature of Arcadia, this usually causes people to end up in Arcadia. Most attempts at true multiversal travel therefore end up dumping people into Arcadia. Examples are Doomsday, who was sent to Arcadia after being launched out of his home universe by the Man of Steel, and the Emperor, whom's rebirth as the Star Child opened up a hole in the Warp and lead to Arcadia.

- the Arcadia Anomaly
Something weird is happening in Arcadia. Whatever it is started a few years ago, and it caused Arcadia to take up the role of multiversal hub. This anomaly is the reason Barrier Breaking leads inevitably to Arcadia, and that the Outliners first came to investigate. This anomaly also appears to grab random beings from other universes, dragging them into Arcadia. Beings dragged here tend to be powerful and competent beings, although even the Outliners do not yet truly understand why. This phenomena is basically why everyone is in Arcadia, and why everyone wants to control it. Due to this phenomenon, there are also a strangely large amount of terminals in Arcadia, although almost all of them have been gathered by the Outliners and the Imperium, both of whom are able to detect such terminals. The anomaly has on occasion been known to drag entire fleets of ships and even empires towards Arcadia.

Ha! Clearly, you don't know enough anime. Susanoomon (Digimon) sliced a planet in half with a sword just fine. Just need to slice hard enough XD.

In any case, approximately mountain-level slicing power is very powerful. Especially considering the fact that the Sextuple Giga's stated feats appear to be slightly below mountain level in attack power. Are you sure you intended to put his standard sword-fighting power that high, considering this would make his normal techniques (unenhanced) stronger than the Sextuple Giga?

Also, I was under the impression that he was only able to use a very weak version of the Sword of Heaven?

Destructive power =/= Strength of the attack.

Swords have virtually no range. Even if Luka hit a mountain with his sword, it wouldn't destroy the entire mountain, because that's not how swords work. If he distributed the force of his swing across the entire radius of the mountain, the mountain would be destroyed. If you were a regular sized guy covered in miniature mountains, each with the durability of an entire mountain, he would be able to break through with his sword.

It's the same with all of his abilities. He's not an anti-mountain specialist with special explosive beam swords. He's a single combat specialist, and that's it. He just happens to come from a world where there are little girls with the durability of mountains, that he needs to be able to hurt.

And yeah, he can only use a weak version of Sword of the Heavens. It's Micaela's technique, after all. I was talking about its complete form when I compared it to Quadruple Giga.

I do realize that AOE != power

Regardless, if this is the case, I'm afraid your character can't be accepted. Mountain-level is reserved for the most powerful characters in the entire series, Faction leaders. Such characters are the strongest beings in this universe, pretty much, and should be incredibly rare. As such, pretty much no mountain-tier characters are allowed, especially casual mountain-busters such as your character is suggested to be. This is simply above the power level of the roleplay.

I think the idea is that he can't actually destroy mountains with normal attacks, but if someone had a durability comparable to a mountain with the size of a human his sword attacks could actually harm them rather than bounce off

Its weird figure of speech stuff

Thanks! I know it may have seemed like an obvious question, but it did help me get a better idea of how this multiverse stuff works. So the main form of travel is primarily terminals, then rarely holes and tears in reality from crazy stuff happening.

I'll get my faction concept soon, I just want to plan them out. They'll probably be based in asia, since that's close enough to be relevant but not stepping on anyones toes.

I might want to join, but I am not sure. Last time I joined, the rp was kind of dying. I felt like it was impossible for a new person to get involved.

Based on your statements, they have mountain-level strikes... but oh well. Hope to see you at some other time.

@Wraithblade6
Well, you're going to be starting out from the beginning here, along with any and all other new players. So hopefully that would make it easier to join in.

Nah, the Imperial Guard never arrived on Arcadia. All Imperial troops were called here through a massive Eternity Gate created by the Emperor himself, spread out over three occasions. He called the Salamanders first, the Dark Angels second, the Dragons third.
