Slightly confused by your post. Was the small moving entity an animal or my character? Becuase the manticore and Amma went in different directions.

Also, that's cold blooded. Killing off a background character that would've never seen the light of day again XD

Not gonna lie though, I laughed when I had the mental image of the big, fat cat getting bounced by a vehicle that resembles a speeding bullet.

Yeah, that was your character. I might have misread your post. I didn't exactly say that the manticore was dead, either. It would've have been the first interaction between a Ceas inhabitant and a Expedition Team member.

Yeah, it was kind of confusing tbh, but the last few lines were supposed to clarify... guess I gotta be more specific with stuff :P Let's just say Canti followed Amma for shits and giggles.

If he ain't dead, then he's probably unconscious. I probably wouldn't get back up from being hit by a truck either :D

That'll work. As for the manticore,

He's not dead, just grievously injured, which means he's basically dead, but not really, with several fatal wounds that would kill him like broken bones and damaged internal organs, and he's almost dead, but not dead yet, so that means he's unconscious but can be mistaken for being dead, when he's not actually dead but looks like he is, but with a gigantic pool of blood to make it seem so, and he's not moving, so he's kind of dead.

Slow down, articulate your words, child xD So, he's almost dead, and probably going to be dead in a couple of minutes without healing magic of the highest order? I'm pretty sure your group of sci-fi soldiers don't have a healing rig for a cat the size of a Humvee. Neither would they heal it if they DID have one, actually.

Oh, cool. Well, he's probably about to die from drowning in his own blood. His skin is in punctured, the hide too thick for a "simple" concussive blow to break it.

However, the bones are the problem, specifically the ribs cause a few of them would've broken from the impact and probably punctured his lungs. He's dead, but Stormborn's giving him a sendoff... after someone else posts. I have the ingrained rule to wait for 2 posts before I do XD

By the way, humanity has never actually encountered any intelligent (i.e. sapient) alien life yet. They do actually make first contact with a hostile race of aliens in 2843, but that's a story for another day.

I assumed so. Zeron was suggesting the Marines don't get spooked and gunned down intelligent life if they were to appear.
