Yes, there is a little bit.

For instance. Aquamarines are assistance and protectors. They are placed in Kindergartens to lead the newborns or placed with the Scintist in case anything happens that need healing abilities. Leaders use them to communicate orders in battle or as strong protection/bodyguards. Either way, they are helpers and not looked at as too much but they aren't low either.

@Peridot Though i cannot talk for the complete gem hierarchy and it's specific ranks, etc., or if there's even going to be one, I can most definitely answer the question of where the Clinohumites land in gem standings.

Dead, or at rock bottom (most of the time)

Now, during their prime valiantly fighting the rebellion, a Clinohumite could easily beat a Jasper in amount of respect. Yet, after their grand failure and proceeding extinction, a living Clinohumite is now generally regarded as a one-trick pony, and a grave disappointment at that (not to mention a traitor for not shattering themselves under yellow diamond's execution order). Nevertheless, though in a homeworld official's eyes a Clinohumite is equal to a moldy, stepped-on corn-chip, gem scientists and enthusiasts love them due to their 'rarity' and strange skill-set.

Keep in mind that hierarchical positions are subject to change/approval according to Kronshi and Akaya (and general reasoning, to prevent things like "Second only to the diamonds" or some bs)
So, assuming this gets a pass...

Cymophanes would be utilized as a spy outside of battle and a general disruptor in battle, being able to sneak around and either distract or pick off the more important Gems using their camouflage and polearms (seeing as how the same type of Gem can have different weapons, I'm being general). However, for non-combat use only the more skilled Cymophanes would be used, seeing as how their abilities are much more developed. For combat purposes they would be ranked below a Jasper (and potentially an Agate, though we're not really sure what they actually do yet) and above the general "cannon fodder" as she would put it.

Hm, I dunno what Moldsvite would be in the hierarchy.

I'm going to go and say shes one of those think tank scientists. They are mostly used for their obtuse and outlandish thinking to come up with radical new ideas or technology. This gives them an air of unpredictability, which manifests in their powers tending to be different depending on that gem's personality or area of study or something of that nature.

Due to this random nature, they aren't given any kind of leadership position or overseer position, and tend to be monitored more than anything. After all, you don't want a mad scientist caste to go out of control.

Well on this topic of where our gems would fit. Marnie would probably just be a experimental gem. I'll probably need to do more research before I can say for sure where she would fit, but for know her gem type is a experiment for a new type of gem to do some type of line of work.... I honestly forgot how to spell her gem type

Edit: I just looked it up and this is what I found "the rarest form of tourmaline. As a type of tourmaline it has those properties in addition to its own." Well okay den! My gem is rare!
Edit2: "Indicolite can also bring happiness and laughter to your life. It also promotes inspiration of all kinds, and lessens fear." .... Umm... Okay...

@BrassOtter Kron is going to work on a IC for the HomeWorld dudes and the Newborns. Which coukd tie into the humans but I don't know. Currently me and Akaya are talking about Jacksepticeye and Markiplier after I sent one of Mark's videos to this OOC

For the hierarchy position of your gem:
I had an experimental gem type in the preboots of this, and the way I had it was they were treated as being kind of "outside" the hierarchy, what with them being treated as experiments as opposed to a gem type.

Just throwing out a base for ya.

I watch the two of them as well, though not all their videos, only a few. Lets me know what indie games to look out for though.

It's actually really cool to think of it that way you know? Like they are gems but not really because there are still problems that needs to be fixed and stuff. If you think about it what if all gem types were originally like that?
