"Holy...Amazing, Drilbur, we beat him! You too Elekid!" After taking a moment for celebratory cheers with his pokémon, Roku turns to the gym leader again. "Good battle, but now there's a few things I need answered. When I first set foot in here, you'd just beaten a kid, this Drilbur's previous trainer. It had injuries way worse than it should've had. How could you have given it injuries like that?"

"I didn't. See, that kid ran in here yelling how bad he was going to beat me, and then sent out that Drilbur, fainted and beaten. I was about to tell him to heal it immediately, but he seemed to realize he forgot to heal it and got all embarrased. He started yelling at it to get up, and eventually just stormed off."

After the gym leader had said these words, Roku fell silent, perplexed look on his face. Only a few moments later he managed to open his mouth again. "I, uhh... I'm sorry. Reason I was so determined on fighting you in the first place was because I thought you had hurt Drilbur. Sorry."

"T-Thanks. I'll be around. First I'm going to become stronger and wiser, then, later if you still don't have any gym trainers I'll join up, myself." With his badge in hand Roku started heading to the entrance, pausing at Zach and Alex's fight. "Zach, let's battle again sometime. Good luck you two."

Outside the gym, Roku considered his options. After a quick stop at the poke center, Roku headed in the direction he last saw the kid run off to, lost in thought as he wandered through the streets.

The kid is still nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, Zach and Alex tie, and Zach goes first fighting the gym leader and wins since Alex has been inactive for like, a week.

Roku can see a few shady thugs though.

Heading over to the "thugs", Roku smiled. Sure, they looked a little odd, but they couldn't possibly be that bad, could they? Roku scraped his throat, attempting to adress the "thugs". "Excuse me have you seen a kid around here lately? Around nine years old?"
