There is one true constant across all worldwide metahuman activity. More than any consistent powers, faces, or conflicts. That constant is…
It’s been twenty years since the dawn of the age of Metahumans - by most people’s reckoning, anyways. Metahumanity has become a staple of life. Go to work, school, pop by the store, see Jimmy down the road, and watch some shitbag catch a jet airliner in the face on live TV.
Still, knowing a Metahuman personally is rare - the chances for Metahumanity are calculated to be, roughly, 1-in-a-million. But they more than make up for their low numbers in bodycount.
The first ‘superhero’ anyone can remember is a fellow by the name of War Child. Powerless himself, War Child decided it would be a great idea to stop Bank Robbers by firing an RPG at them. While they were inside the bank.
The world is fixated upon the duels between immensely powerful Heroes and Villains, but few care about the destruction their battles tend to leave behind. Metahumanity has become one of the single most destructive forces on the planet. Some argue the destruction is unfortunate, but necessary, to stop the “bad guys” from causing even more damage. Others beg to differ.

Welcome to Collateral Damage, the Superhero RP that concerns itself with as much action and mayhem as possible in and around New York City. The idea here is to have a sandbox environment where the players will craft their own stories - though I do have a few grand-scale plots up my sleeve.
The tone that is being shot for is, broadly speaking, fun but violent. Battles will be huge, explosive, and have a large price tag associated with clean up. Some degree of realism is expected, although many times, things will default to Rule of Cool. That said, I still expect some honest role playing, instead of someone that runs around blowing shit up 100% of time.
