so hey guys I was forced into watching the sao show and noticed the lack of classes and really made me cringe. And with .hack which I bought a bunch of for cheap, I found the lack of actual skills used by the group was not something I enjoyed. They truly were 2 great taste, but my question is, would they taste great together? I know a big thing about sao was that there was no magic, but maybe we could increase the amount of weapons to include a wider verity or maybe if you want, magic can be a thing. I also think we should add a bit more set on the skills we learn. A lot of the moves in sword art online didn't have names, and they didn't technically use any at all. So what do you all say. A weird mix of the 2. Do it for me? PLEASE I"M SO DESPERATE.

Well, since you're the OP, it's really up to your final decision instead of mine lols.
But if it were up to me..
1. Depends, if you want an alternate reality SAO. I don't think people would be able to go through the same thing as they did with the original SAO.
2. Magic could create more of a variation of classes, and they go well with skills. But it defeats the whole purpose of "Sword Art Online". You can change the name if you want.
3. I think levels would be a good idea in this sort of thing. They can make it easy to differentiate new players and the more experienced. It'll be easier for the ones with a good grasp on the game to level, so yeah.

ok so I am thinking that magic will be refined to a choice amount of scrolls and one specials, that will be only equitable once to one person, and usually rare drops. Levels will be hard to do as I will need to set a level on most of the common monsters and how the amount you need to level up will increase, but I have a lot of time so that's all fine and dandy. Still how ever the people get trapped. I was thinking either the internet goes out at the place running the game causing everyone to be trapped in the game. But that leaves me with the questions :couldn't they just wait it out" How do people have to worry about dying? or can't they just reopen the servers to get people out?

My second Idea is hackers taking over, who happen to want the same as what's his face from sword art online. But my problem there is that they would have no way of getting to the nerve gear (or what ever I'll call it) to kill people.

Like, it could be so that in another universe (that we'll be RPing in), the SAO we know and love doesn't exist. Kirito and the rest aren't there, except for Kayaba and his plan to start a massacre.

BTW, you don't need to name ALL the floors ^^" I doubt we'll be able to go through all 100 of them anyways, and we can always just reference them by their number, unless you really want an RPG-like RP.
