Don't be silly. A character is only as boring as the events you put them through. Of course, you make your life easier if you can tailor those events to internal conflicts your character has.
Example: it was interesting for me to write the scene with Leck, Michael, and her father, because her father, she suspects, was on the death eaters' side in the wizarding war and Michael is a muggle-born. I didn't want to give it away in the IC because I want that little plotlet to develop, but it was interesting to write. I won't assume it's interesting to read because that's not my call to make. If Janine doesn't have any personal demons to battle with (or at least to expose over the course of the RP), that's the single easiest thing you can do to find her more fascinating to write.

Well, I was going to make it so that she and her mother kind of drifted apart after her father passed and things haven't been the same. But, they try to act as if everything is okay. I didn't want to drone on about it in my first post. But, I had planned for the issue with her mother to show up later on.

If that works for you, that works for you. The other traditional (if more superficial) way of making a character more interesting is to give them a whacking great character flaw and not a cute one like 'ditsy' or 'too nice'.

Just letting you all know, my activity will be rather low for the next couple of days. I have tests, a project, and even homework to do and the intensity of it all are up in these next four days. I'll be, hopefully, back on Monday.

Incidentally, I'm always in the chat, so if somebody goes in, say hi and I'll probably be around. Apart from this evening, because my flatmate's given himself a concussion and needs twenty-four hour supervision. I have three pieces of coursework and an exam on Monday, and I can't sleep until tomorrow 9PM. It's 10:45 now.

I wondered where you had vanished to. Now to discover where Imp and Primez have vanished to. Technically I dunno where Zordon's been, but she did log into Mibbit while I was away, and I spoke to Vena yesterday, so that's everybody accounted for (or, indeed, not accounted for).
