He just did what his instinct told him to do. He hates pretty much anything bothersome or stuff that uses head. Idiot… is a way to describe him. Out of all subjects, he hate math that uses formula and such. Surprisingly, despite of his bad personality, Rouka is an innocent boy who never touched the thing called porn before. Biography:

Elissa is a natural born Esper, though for most of her life she thought she was merely a vampire. She was born wealthy and became accustomed to a certain lifestyle, so used her power to ensure she could live how she wanted. Her bite caused feelings of ecstasy in her victims, and eventually caused a druglike addiction, making them do whatever she wanted to feel it again.

It was decades before she was captured by an envoy from Pyramid City and dragged in for study. She was eventually imprisoned permanently after making a thrall of one of her researchers and attempting to escape. She has only recently been released back into the city, wearing a control collar that will alert her wardens if her Prana rises above a certain level.

Personality: Playful

Despite her recent hardships, Elissa retains a playful, almost flippant attitude in regards to others. She has a strange set of values, where she chooses a group of people to look after and those people are the only ones who matter. She protects her chosen flock as if they were an extension of herself, and before would only require some blood in return (anything else they wanted to give her would be graciously accepted). Now that she's forbidden from drinking from anybody but her designated warden, she simply follows the first half of that arrangement.

Sanguivore

Elissa drinks blood to increase her Prana levels. Most people find her ability distasteful and label her a monster for it, but she never drinks beyond a person's ability to heal, and her bite causes no pain. In fact, her victims often find themselves craving the feel of it again.

As she drinks, she grows stronger, faster and tougher. Her senses become sharper, she can heal faster, and when her Prana reaches high enough levels, she can even use Escana, though this requires her to either drink enough to drain a normal person of their blood or drink from a level 10.

She wears sunglasses and a wide brimmed hat during the day, since even at their lowest level her abilities make her sensitive to light and heat.

The media blamed faulty pyrotechnics, and the case was eventually filed as an accident. Nimura, left alone with his parent's legacy, took up his father's original title 'Joker' and began performing himself, showing a talent to match and even exceed both of his parent's. His skill caught the attention of Adam who invited the boy to live in Pyramid City as a professional entertainer.

Personality: Confidant

Nimura is friendly, playful and somewhat mysterious almost all the time. He loves using his skills as a magician to pull pranks on his classmates, and can just as easily disarm his victims with a quick phrase and make his escape. Although most people seem to like him, nobody can seem to be called his friends.

Biography: Born and raised in a neighborhood within Boston, Bang Constantine initially found interest in no particular route for his future. While his parents did not urge him too much in describing what he actually wanted to become, he still was aware of their concern for him even as a teenager. Whereas drama happened elsewhere, Bang resided in the fairly uneventful side of life, despite the worrying matter of not knowing what to become.

A fateful boxing match he and his parents spectated woke him up from his silent existence. Motivated to become a boxer after witnessing a crushingly exciting match between a former champion and a rising star, Bang was enamored by the glamour of not the contest of strength, but the idea of showing that he was competent to others. He trained hard, and as his results improved, so did the matches he contested in.

Circuit by circuit, he rose quickly, his defeats limited to the ones where he could learn from the most. Bang Constantine soon became one of the top contestants in the national circuit, and won his first national tournament in his hometown, Boston. His success soon became filled with oddities, however, as people found out some of the opponents he fought had a negative when they were drug tested. It turned out some of his strongest opponents were hiding their Esper statuses while contesting in boxing matches normally between non-Espers.

Bang did not know why, or how, but he presumed that he simply outsmarted those he defeated. Boxing was a game of minds and strategies in the end, if not a dose of an acceptable amount of strength. Recognized for both his physical prowess and potential in being a valuable asset, Bang was invited to E.N.M.A. University. He refused in the end, stating that he neither worked for said position nor wanted it in the first place.

Regardless, he still flew to Japan because they offered to at least sponsor him.

Personality: While being quite the hardheaded one in terms of common sense, he has a frightening amount of cautious instincts that assists him in both boxing matches and out-of-the-ring emergencies. He talks far less than the average civilian, speaking only when not doing so would result in extremely awkward tensions. He thinks in extremely questionable ways and almost has the mind of an alien when it comes to creativity of any kind, yet somehow it has helped him mold the reputation a pretty decent guy would have.

His tendency to observe his surroundings is one of his most easily noticeable traits. When he is not training or staying outside, Bang remains as passive as ever, disconnected from many social networks while loitering around his home without too many cares in the world. He continues to keep his body in good condition for both exercises and boxing training for potential big dates that could pop out at any moment. When he is pressured into danger, although he tenses up visibly, his broadly calm attitude keeps him in line from rushing in mindlessly with his fists ready.

He plans on spending his time making a lot more friends and traversing more countries once his boxing career settles down.

Biography: From the age of thirteen, the little canary lived alone in the confinement of her heart. Abandoned by both a mother and father out of fear of what she held the capability to do, Kotori was left abandoned on the streets of Tokyo. Yet despair did not overtake her; rather, she could a weakened determination to survive.

So she worked long hours at restaurants and cafes, making just enough to get by and into a small apartment on her own. There in her loneliness, her powers slowly grew and manifested in ways she did not expect. Such talent drew the eyes of an Academy that was the first of its kind.

A place of learning and sanctuary for one whose talents were like her own. A place where she could be accepted, instead of shunned.

Beneath the wing of many brilliant instructors and teachers, the shy girl blossomed into a beautiful young woman of remarkable capability. Where despite of how fearful of what others would think, she would act for the greater good. Saving hundreds of lives as a result of her actions. Then, only did she realize that as she grew, so did her powers. As upon the day of her eighteenth birthday, she was classified as a level seven Esper.

All the while this happened of course, she was still ever lonely. Companionship was fleeting and miserably brief. Never once had she made a lasting friend it seemed.

Not until she met the Iron Giant. 

Less of a machine and more of a boy whose will seemed made of iron alongside his tall stature. He was not one with powers like the majority of the school. Rather, he was the opposite. And the first normal person in her life that didn't instantly reject her. They met once when she lended him a book, and were good friends for the years following.

In times of great strife, he was the solidity she desperately needed to keep moving forward. As she grew stronger, he was always there with enough kindness and quiet strength so that she wouldn't falter.

As the years passed she slowly realized the truth: she loved him. Though she would never find the courage to tell him. Once he left, once he disappeared, the music she played seemed to hold an irrevocable melancholy. A beautiful sadness that pervades her mind to this very day.

For now she teaches at the very same kind of school where she once was taught. As a remarkably powerful Esper as well as an enlightened music teacher, she gifts her knowledge to future generations happily.

Personality : A far cry from her youthful days of shyness and awkwardness, Kotori has outgrown such and instead attained a grace that is not commonplace. Though quiet outside of instruction of music or her own individual talents, it is not due to fear, rather it is that she intends for what little she has to say to possess impact. Yet outside it all, she holds a deep melancholy that holds a state of permanence. As if the sorrowful music she plays is what speaks from her soul. Yet aside it all, she holds a deep conviction to do good, and bestows kindness upon anyone she meets.

The Faces of Pyramid City

Not a proper organization, but rather a group chat hosted on the official D-Watch server. The group itself consists of four individuals that met through the forums of a popular online game. Despite all of them living in Pyramid City, they have never officially met in real life (or have they?)

According to PC Security, an antiestablishment crime syndicate. However that is a misnomer because it implies that they have a universal goal to follow. The exact nature of their activity is similarly erratic, with past actions ranging from mercenary to terrorist to downright peculiar. One notable event occurred a few years ago involving a Level 4 Kotori Namashiya and her school friends.

Base of operations is unknown. No territories appear to have been established.

After managing to barely resist the growing influence of the LLH, the organization quickly rose to power as the second of Pyramid City's two most powerful criminal organizations as a result of backing from an anonymous benefactor (or benefactors) that have appropriated the name "Cog" (originally an acronym meaning Coalition Of Gangs) for their personal use. It is believed that it is only due to their influence that the COG hasn't dissolved into infighting.

The eclectic nature of their membership means that their activities vary depending on the gang in question. However, PC Security has come to the conclusion that their collective activities all work towards undermining their rivals or accruing resources as opposed to unfettered thuggery. Notably, none of their recent criminal activity has intentionally involved unrelated civilians. 

Due to the nature of their organization, there is no central base of operations.

Nexus Industries
The organization responsible for law enforcement in Pyramid City. (On paper, anyway) While they can be seen doing activities that any police force in any major city would do on a day-to-day basis, they also have a dedicated taskforce that handles supernatural crimes.

However, Pyramid City Security as a whole is known among the public as being simultaneously competent and incompetent at their duty. Incompetent in the regard that their arrests rarely stick for the important criminals, and competent in the regard that allowing these criminals to escape ensures peace overall, a fact which the a lot of the older members of the public begrudgingly admit but younger ones don't understand.

Pyramid City Security also runs a program called "Monitors" that allows student volunteers to police the city in exchange for scholarship money. It's effectively nothing more than a glorified neighbourhood watch, and most of the members don't take it too seriously and are just in it for the employee benefits, though.

The umbrella term describing creation of phenomena through specialized manipulation and expenditure of prana. 

Abilities are naturally acquired through a high-stress event that radically alters one or more of the brain's projection areas, granting them the ability to regulate and generate prana, as well as attuning the relevant sense or senses to a specific facet of reality. The former allows manifestation of power, while the latter dictates the nature of that manifestation and grants an appropriate type of extrasensory input.

First generation ability users have the ability to pass down an ability of related nature - often but not always a more limited version of their own, in the case of espers - to their offspring, but even with less strict requirements for awakening, these offspring do not possess a 100% chance of obtaining an ability. Whether an individual has inherited a power is usually revealed during puberty, and not awakening then does not prevent them from doing so artificially or traditionally further down the line.

Although many have tried to artificially create awakening events to varying levels of success, only Adam Pride of Pyramid City has devised a reliable, safe (assuming no neurological discrepancies) method to artificially awaken individuals. That said, artificial awakening of any sort is heavily biased towards creating espers for some unknown reason, and tend to have less hard limits at the cost of being more difficult to adjust to.

Due to the subjective nature of natural awakenings, powers awakened this way are typically drawn from an aspect of an individual's life experience, while those obtained artificially are more random.

Furthermore, abilities are divided into two categories - ESP or magic - depending on their mode of manifestation. 

The ability type characterized by direct interface through attunement with a singular physical facet of reality. Most abilities dealing with manipulating the environment in some way tend to fall under this category.

Another distinguishing factor is their extrasensory capabilities, hence the name, which are far greater and more varied than those of magicians as a result of their attunement to the physical world. These capabilities always have something to do with the nature of their ability (ex. seismic sense for a geokinetic, slowed perceptions for a speedster) and are often needed to facilitate fine control in the first place. This sensory effect remains passive until approximately Level 6, where an esper is able to disable or enable it at will.

Outside of family lines of espers, natural espers are a far less frequent occurrence than natural magicians. That said, they are still the more populous of the two ability types.


The ability type characterized by indirect manifestation through implements that contain the user's prana. The name comes from the fact that magic-users in fiction are often seen using enchanted objects.

Strictly speaking, all magic is the ability to imbue non-living matter with prana, granting it the ability to carry out a predetermined function that violates the limits of common sense. The key difference between mages is what they have been attuned to upon awakening. As a general rule, the narrower one's attunement, the more powerful the items they can create. Effectively, this means the maximum degree of power a mage has inversely correlates with the versatility of their arsenal. 

All magicians share a single extrasensory capability: the ability to sense where objects with their prana are at any time and any links made of their own prana. They also possess the ability to revoke prana from an implement at any point. Due to containing prana, a magician's creations are considered under the jurisdiction of the resistance effect.

In contrast to espers, artificial mages are few and far between.

The official system used by Pyramid City Security to abstractly classify threats and quickly establish an appropriate response. Originally developed for response against ability-using criminals, the system has been adopted by Pyramid City administration to classify all ability-users documented by administration. As a result, the current method is a syncreticism of the two schools of thought, which consider levels a measure of effective threat and theoretical capacity, respectively. 

It has little do with the power level arguments that occur on Pyramid City's official message boards, despite being constantly being cited in said arguments. This is especially jarring because what these levels officially mean is not revealed to the public for security reasons; although many people rightfully consider it a general estimate of an individual's power.

Level ScaleLevel 1 - A normal civilian could cope with this ability.
Level 2 - An exceptional civilian could cope with this ability.
Level 3 - A group of trained individuals or a substandard ability user are required to deal with the ability. Civilians have become a non-factor in traditional combat, save those leveraging exceptional assets.
Level 4 - A full squad of trained individuals or a small group of well-equipped ones should be able to deal with the ability.
Level 5 - An average ability user or a substandard ability user backed by a squad of trained individuals could be reasonably expected to be able to deal with this ability.
Level 6 - An average ability user back by a squad of trained individuals could be reasonably expected to be able to deal with this ability.
Level 7 - A small group of average ability users could be reasonably expected to be able to deal with this ability. Two squads of trained individuals equipped appropriately have a significant chance of coping.
Level 8 - An exceptional ability user could be reasonably expected to be able to deal with this ability. Mundane combatants have become a non-factor in traditional combat, save those leveraging exceptional assets.
Level 9 - A squad of average ability users are required to deal with this ability, at minimum.
Level 10 - Another Level 10 is required to be able to deal with a power of this calibre. In the absence of a Level 10, a sound plan of action, significant assets (intellectual and technologically), a multitude of exceptional ability users, and a willingness to sacrifice them are required at minimum.

The system assumes hostile conflict between abilities specialized for combat, but can be applied to utility abilities requiring similar measures to counteract.

Substandard, average, and exceptional ability users are defined as those of Level 1-3, Level 4-6, and Level 7-9, respectively.

The term trained individual typically refers to Pyramid City Security officers, but can also apply to anyone with a similar degree of general combat training.

At its most basic, prana is the energy inherent to every person that makes possible the use of abilities and underlies their biological process. In layman's terms, it is understood as the "life force" of an individual used to fuel the phenomena created by abilities. 

Although prana exists in all individuals, it behaves differently manner if one has awakened an ability. Because normal humans cannot expend and replenish prana like empowered humans can, the key difference between ability users and non-ability users can be considered the fact that they have dynamic or static prana, respectively. 

That said, prana isn't necessarily completely irrelevant for normal humans; abnormal prana are believed to be responsible for physiological anomalies.

Also referred to as mana, ki, aura or whatever fictional spiritual energy is the current vogue.


Pyramid City
A phenomenon linked to prana that prevents abilities from acting within the boundary of the human body.

The current explanation behind this is that the concentration of prana within the human body prevents external prana from exerting its influence. This is supported by evidence of residual prana building up through what is commonly known as "the prana shield".

Past approximately Level 5, excess prana is capable of creating physical interference through the creation of a transparent barrier. This shield does not begin to regenerate until an individual's prana has reached its max capacity, and can be expended to fuel abilities should an ability user run out of internal prana.

Due to this phenomenon, it is believed that an individual's prana behaves uniquely or otherwise has unique identifying factors.

Timeline
The living legends of Pyramid City. Although technically speaking, they’re not actually based in Pyramid City, so the title is a bit misleading. However they are commonly associated with the city among laypeople, notably due to the worldwide impact of Seneca Pride and Kotori Namashiya in promoting the Pyramid City agenda. That said, many of them have their own allegiances and keep their true identities a secret from even Adam Pride, so the current roster is considered an unofficial watchlist as much as it is a commemoration of achievement.

Common misconceptions are that inclusion on this roster is a measure of strength and that beating a Level 10 will automatically place you on the list, and that the order in which they are listed is somehow related to how powerful they are between each other.

Codenames are issued by Adam Pride and are drawn from mythological beings, apparently to reinforce the idea of Level 10s as beyond human. These are used in press releases and official government files for Level 10s that have chosen to retain anonymity, and certain other situations.

Biography: Overall, Mika could have been said to have lived a solidly "okay, I guess" childhood. As one of the many orphans of the Second Pacific War, Mika was taken in by Adam Pride's Seneca Institute to receive education and other appropriate social services in the newly founded Pyramid City on Tokyo Bay. Fortunately, the Institute allowed such pariah children to live in the relative isolation of their facilities and thus avoid too much contact with the nationalistic fervor that had affected Japan and the outside world at the time, even if that outside world often came to them in the form of media and orphans, both native and foreign. Like many of the enemy war orphans taken into Pyramid City, Mika was subject to discrimination by nationalists for opposing their nations; this treatment had improved with the end of the war and the defeat of his homeland's allies, if only slightly. Unfortunately the damage had been done, and Mika and his ilk were left wondering what their place was in this frightening new land. 

While many of his peers had opted to join street gangs, run away from the city or otherwise abandon the system, Mika trusted Pyramid City to do good by him, like they had done so far. At age seven, about half-a-decade earlier than most, Mika came into his esper ability as a result of his participation in a special program offered to students of the Institute like him. Though not particularly powerful due to lacking sufficient force of personality, his synchronization with his power was developed to the utmost as a result. After graduating elementary school, he was "adopted" (or more accurately, assigned to live under supervision of a researcher) and began taking on more specialized experiments regarding his esper ability between, and instead of some, classes at the Seneca Institute's middle and high school divisions. Save for skipping classes that may or may not be important for most future prospects, Mika's schooldays were hardly what you could call unusual. In his free time, he opted against participating in any clubs or studying at a cram school, and instead took on a wide variety of odd jobs in and around the Institute to avoid the hellish idleness he'd otherwise be subjecting himself to. When he became 16 he was tasked to join the PC Express by virtue of his ability's use in that industry.

But between two jobs and a constant series of favors to uphold, it's unsurprising that Mika's often flitting in and out of the apartment he shares with his assigned researcher/legal guardian. Despite this, the relationship they share is a rather tight-knit one, fostered through an innumerable amount of sleepless night ramblings, shared housekeeping and everything in between, even with its beginnings as a way to increase stipend and an occupational obligation, respectively.Even if he's unaware of the fact himself, those six years had impacted Mika's worldview more than all of his formative years had. Despite the incongruity between their two personalities, the two managed to bond over their similar backgrounds, shared love of reading, training sessions, and a certain someone's attachment issues. This is compounded by the fact that he is oft doted on, and their relationship often resembles that of a stoic father and his impetuous child - a fact not lost on the young Russian, who refers to the other as his "father" even considering their rather small age gap.

After highschool graduation, Mika was sponsored by the Seneca Institute for a chance at enrollment into ENMA University.
Personality: As a young man of strong will but weak conviction, it's only natural that Mika's nature be that of the utmost ambivalence. The unfortunate consequence of synchronization with his ability is that it has left him an aimless mess, aware and yearning but afraid and in constant denial. After all, being able to think more than anyone else is fine up until one's thoughts stray into negativity, and being forced to dwell on these types of thoughts has done little good for the speedster's psychology. Indecisive and prone to self-doubt, it's no surprise that he prefers to act under guidance, and under situations where he can act without thought or consequence. However, a desire for absolution has thrust him into a particularly vicious, socially-parasitic cycle. Rarely does he act because of his own agency, but rather because he has been tasked to or feels some kind of obligation. As a result, he hasn't quite developed what he considers a proper sense of personal identity, a fact which bothers him to no little degree.

Outwardly, he's far less of a downer than his existential crisis might suggest. He still tends to worry a lot more than most, and becomes a bit too easily attached for his own good.  But as someone who prefers to surround himself with those who treat others well, Mika does his best to return kindness with kindness and radiate positivity in all things, even if he lacks genuine satisfaction. He's also developed a bit of an idealistic streak from all the things he's read and heard, and even with his doubts, is still a bit unwilling to accept that the world isn't as black and white as he'd like it to be. At any rate, he's prone to being ruled by his emotions despite his best efforts; he often holds grudges and is rather spiteful even with his good intentions.

Skills:Combat Training - Knowledge of self-defense techniques as taught by his handler. In other words: basic and bland, but effective and surprisingly brutal. Incidentally, when put into practice it appears that Mika's stature and personal preference aren't too well-suited for some of the techniques. Fortunately he isn't the type to go around looking for fights so that shouldn't be so much of an issue.
Navigation - Occupational requirements and a lifetime of living in Pyramid City has resulted in an in-depth understanding of the city's layout, especially its various sidestreets, shortcuts, and areas of dubious safety.
Parkour - Competency in the art of "hardcore parkour". The steel jungle of Pyramid City is the perfect playground by which to refine this skill. Of all his skills, this is what he claims is his best. That said, he lacks style points.
Running Away From His Problems - Cannot actually run away from his problems.
Stealth -  Compact stature and enhanced awareness assists in the skillful avoidance of detection - a useful asset for transporting important packages, among other things. However, this combined with a propensity towards taking photos and climbing on roofs may result in certain negative connotations.
Weaving - Personal test of ability. Specialty lies in first-class basketweaving, of which he possesses an almost supernatural competency (likely because he 'cheats' with his esper ability). Also capable of weaving other things to a far lesser extent of competency, given the proper resources. Has not yet been turned into a spider by the gods, much to his delight.

Ability: Slipstream; Level 4
Use of prana to manipulate personal speed through an unknown mechanism. Hypotheses include personal telekinesis and localized temporal manipulation, among others. Conclusive results estimated to appear around Levels 5-7.

Primary application is increasing speed to the point the subject becomes a 'streak', as described by observers, capable of altering its trajectory with pinpoint precision. Secondary application is a single high-speed dash at a targeted location, effectively something akin to short-range teleportation. Though this is the subject's top speed, it's prana strain is decidedly above average and no control is possessed during this rapid A to B movement. Tertiary application is concentration of "speed" into a specific body part. The prana expenditure to accomplish this is inversely proportional to the simplicity of the desired action. Cannot be used at the same time as the primary and secondary functions.

Passive effects on subject are primarily related to the side effects of high-speed movement on a human. Mental processing and perceptions have been permanently enhanced to compensate. Furthermore, the inertial reference frame is locked into the speed demonstrated in his primary capability i.e. the world is perceived as going slower. This has resulted in psychological effects on the subject, but this appears to be an indirect consequence. Subject does not appear to sleep, age, or metabolize faster.

Biography: Despite his heritage Sasaki was born and raised in Japan - though most didn't care to make the distinction once the war broke out and tensions took hold soon afterward. His father joined the war front and never came back, and by the time he was seven, his mother was gone as well. As a result, he and his five-year old sister became wards of the state and were sent to one of the increasingly occupied group home facilities. For a short while his life was about as comfortably domestic as it could be for the temperamental youngster, but he was later outcast for injuring another child in a fit of rage and began spending most of his time by himself.

Unfortunately, constant harassment and being treated as an "other" made him not only a temperamental, but also particularly a violent little cuss who used the flimsy justification of defense to take out his rage on whatever he pleased - a behavior which attracted the attention of the gangs of errant orphans that had started to take precedence. He easily found a place among these ne'er-do-wells and formed a reputation as the "Club-Wielding Oni" after his weapon of choice. 

However with the formation of the Seneca Institute by the eponymous Level 10 esper and their subsequent crack down on the roving bands of youth, the gang was dissolved and Sasaki was left with nothing to count on but himself. For a time he persisted, but he was taken into custody one day by Pyramid City Security, and it was under arrest that he met Seneca Pride and was taken into her Institute.

Despite this, he'd still yet to kick his delinquent habits, and became the problem case for the Institute matriarch. After all when normal kids have bad days, they don't tend to leave wanton destruction in their wake. But after much prodding, a breakthrough was made; Sasaki began to decide to build things up instead of breaking things down, or at least build himself up if nothing else. To this end, he sought out the guidance and mentorship of the Level 10 that had given him a new lease on life, and was taken under her wing. Though he'd never found out why she'd agreed to let him play assistant, he figures that he was something of a personal symbol of hope for the success of her ideals.

Her death hit him a bit harder than he thought it would have, and in his second year of high school, he began taking an active role in the activities of the Institute at the behest of her will and husband. At the same time, he met a little birdie and they became friends, but he was either far too blind or far too scared to move past that. And unfortunately, they were pulled into their different realms and grew apart, ending those halcyon days. 

Sasaki prefers not to dwell on what could have been, but he'd be lying if there wasn't at least a faint swell of satisfaction when Adam showed him the new Level 10 roster. 

Currently he lives with and cares for a certain experiment he'd gotten perhaps too attached to for his own good. Anything else concerning the six years interim is [CLASSIFIED]. 
Personality: At first glance, the past six years seem to have treated Sasaki well on this front. No longer does his past temperament appear to plague his mind as it did before, and his spectrum of acceptable expressions has widened itself beyond repressed miens. Yet at the same time this change in demeanor has also made him far more inscrutable, and it's only in his quieter states that his true nature comes to light. Like his youth, he invests himself in the things happening to those around him, though now he's a bit more selective about who he helps and how. Unlike his youth, he carries with him a greater degree of despondence and disillusionment; although he doesn't let most people know that.

Personality: 

When it comes to improvement, she would stop at nothing to achieve perfection which to a fault has her disregard the human emotions. Due to the 2nd Pacific War, her overview of the world changed, the so called "Lively Mei" is gone and awoke an entirely different person that is currently not keen in approaching people and doing things her own and believes that they are nothing but hindrances even though she can cooperate. This fearing-mentality became her cruel reality due to the racism against Chinese people that were refugees during the war. 

Secretly, she is very insecure because she always deems herself to be useless compared to the others. This is in fact, the root cause of her twisted mentality and alone it is very messy. When it comes on a daily basis, she puts up a facade of being strongly cheerful and denial of her fears, she shows a slice of her child-self as her personality, being upbeat when she isn't really upbeat, all nothing but contradictory. Her facade is her barrier to disregard everything else and focus on one track goal which is to just keep living. More so, she can't comprehend ; why do people needed to have goals? The answer she sees to that is, "All are the same, it's all about the money and if that's the case as long as I have the top spot, being the strongest is not a question and I won't even feel hurt at all."

All that she focuses is on getting stronger and living everyday by means of achieving menial goals. She can't particularly feel the joy of liking anything or anyone. Other than that, she has a love and hate relationship with her country and countrymen. She also likes clowns and the common entertainment for one though but her mentality prevents her to "like".

She simply dislikes being used as a mean to achieve a goal. This is something she heavily dislikes and manipulating people is one of her no-no policies. At the same time, she hates herself for being unable to overcome hurdles that are both personal and general. Other than that, she has a love and hate relationship with her country and countrymen.

Chinese Martial Arts and Dancing. Mei is highly equipped with her roots in China. She is proud carrying her country's martial arts, Mei focuses on high agility, flexibility combined with precision and deception. Simple but effective. Planning. Before anything else, she is well coordinated into organizing ahead as she dislikes mistakes. Likewise, in combat before entering she prepares the necessary tools to use.

The ability to open portals to dimensions and transport objects, self and people. It requires high memory power and high amounts of prana. Whenever Kaori opens a portal, a black ripple like pattern would appear to distort space which is often mistaken to be a blackhole
Pros:
- No maximum mass transfer. One can transport anything they want as long as they can sustain the portal unlike teleport.
- Can cut things by warping a part of the object elsewhere. Mostly on triangle types but rectangle types are not capablle of doing doing this.
- Doesn't have weather complications like Teleporters and your atoms is completely safe from disintegration
- Can be used for scouting. Be wary of stray bullets from the other end though.
Cons:
- Unlike Teleport, cannot instantly transport something from one point to another. There is however a limit to transport. Kaori can't warp something that is of alien nature, pure energy, and powerful beings.
- At lower levels, one must physically touch the area they want to create a portal in. Does not have to create the portal instantly. In Kaori's case it still applies but lesser since she can open portals that she remembers.
-Warpers are prone to memory loss.

Kaori is a square type. 

Kaori wears a glasses because of her eyesight being too advanced as an effect of her power and because of this, her range is shortened to 60 meters compare to the nigh unlimited mobility.

Biography: Phoenix was born into a happy, nuclear family somewhere in North America - where exactly is beyond his memory. He believes that his life up to age 5 was good, but thats where things went so far south he was in Canada. 

The war kicked off when he was only 2, and his father went off to fight. At age 4, his brother went as well. And, at age 5 - the year 2021 - he and his mother were transferred elsewhere. However, the move failed, his mother was killed, and Phoenix was captured. The reason China would kidnap a 5 year old boy was completely beyond him, but they did.

Days after the capture was when the experiments started. He was injected with various drugs, subject to torture, starved, isolated without light or sound, forced to fight others who had been kidnapped; all in an attempt to create a Level 10; or as close to a Level 10 as they could. The experiments took a toll on his mind and body - causing him to become close to emotionless, and limiting physical growth.

It happened several months after his capture. Out of all the powers that had been developed, all the numbers that were assigned, Phoenix was one of the strongest. He could manipulate and control charged particles, and was quickly dispatched to the front lines to fight with his fellows. Thousands of soldiers were killed in his time on the battlefield, where he learnt how to fight - both with his fists and with a gun. 

When and where he was captured is unknown, but the details are there. Towards the end of the war Japanese soldiers brought the boy back with them, and he was placed in an orphanage. 

Rumours constantly circulate about Koneko, from the people he makes contact with to what he does in his spare time. A lot of people seem to think he's connected with some of the... Let's just say shadier groups and organisation, but the legibility of that claim is unconfirmed.

Personality: When you think of mentally broken, one wouldn't think of someone like Koneko. His energetic, charismatic and easily excitable demeanour paint the simple picture of a relatively hyperactive, childish character. However, he is far from that alone.

Any feelings of sadness, despair - really anything negative - have been, for the longest time, purged from his mind. He is always happy, save the few moments where he becomes annoyed, and has a generally bubbly aura surrounding him. 

His tongue is silver, and integrated into his happy atmosphere is a mischievous streak. With his looks and an ability to fake emotions, Koneko has been known to trick people into going on dates, where they more often than not buy him things. Even in stores he is known to cheat owners into giving him discounts, which has earned him a bit of a reputation. 

Following the bubbly exterior that he upholds, Koneko is a very friendly fellow. Though, he is very protective of those he calls "friend". Those that threaten the few people he chooses can be guaranteed pain, more often than not. The times like these are where his past self from the war leak in; sadistic, ruthless, unafraid to kill. People that get on his bad side are sure to experience a slow and agonising death.

Skills: Koneko is quite seductive when he wants to be; a talent he developed due to his appearance. This has led him to develop a bit of a silver tongue, and he often times cheats people out of money, or gets discounts in stores. He has also been known to be a good cook, sometimes helping out in restaurants for extra money.

Along with this, there are several skills he learnt during the war that have stuck around. Koneko is an excellent shot, favouring handguns and snipers over anything else. He is rather proficient in hand-to-hand combat, though his small frame and weak body generally stop him from fighting in that way. As well, he is able to speak American, Chinese and Japanese, can disarm a bomb with ease, and is no stranger to the battlefield - any fear of death having long since left him.

In the years of living in Pyramid City, he's learned new skills due to his job. How to dispose of a body, how to disable a buildings cameras, etc. But also how to dig up the darkest secrets in a persons past, and how to exploit them. Koko also, due to the copious amounts of free time the job affords him, taught himself to play both the guitar and flute, and spent a while challenging the cities best chess and Othello players.

Ability:Level 7 "Matter Charge"

Technically an unrecognised, and extremely rare, ability, Matter Charge is the unofficial name given by Koneko himself. In its simplest form, it is manipulating charged particles - electrons, protons, positrons, ions, etc; if it has an electrical charge, he can manipulate it.

Even at Level 7, it is surprisingly strong, but still undeveloped. At current, he can manipulate the charged particles themselves, and move them at will. This can be utilised in a number of ways, including causing beta decay in an atom, creating an unstable and highly destructive beam of energy, and creating electromagnetic fields.

Along with this, he is also able to slightly manipulate electricity and fire, as well as disintegrate objects through touch. With proper use, it can be used to separate electrons and protons from atoms, or add them, allowing him to create ions that he can manipulate at will. 

Technique - "Terminal Charge": Probably the most powerful attack in Koneko's arsenal related to his ability. By messing with electrons and colliding them he can create an extremely high speed, and high density, beam of highly unstable destructive energy, taking on a dark violet colour. It is very inaccurate, and takes time to charge. Plus, since his power only extends to his arms and hands, he fires out out like a finger gun for increased accuracy and cool factor. 

Technique - "Negation Implement": By using <<Terminal Charge>> in varying ways, electric fields can be severed between charged particles and atoms, causing the molecular structure that they create to fall apart. 

Technique - "Terminal Detonation": Using <<Terminal Charge>>, Koneko can create small orbs of the destructive energy. Her can then, at the click of a finger, cause them to collapse in on themselves and detonate - causing large amounts of damage within a radius around it. The range of the attack is only a short ways, so it is highly likely the user will be caught in the explosion.

Due to the undeveloped nature of the ability, his power only currently extends to his arms (from fingers to shoulders) - so anywhere else is out of his range. The fire and electricity he can create is rather unstable, not to mention weak, but still powerful if used correctly (cauterising wounds, shorting circuits, etc). Since a portion of his powers are unstable and undeveloped, the risk of self injury is high, meaning he has to restrain himself lest he obliterate both his arms.

He works as a troubled part-timer who can’t find the right job… until he finds out about some interesting troubles arising around Pyramid City.

Faction: “The Constantinople Duo!,” or at least, that’s what Hawke calls it whenever he goes out for groceries with Bang Constantine. In reality, he’s technically independent like Bang.

Biography: There was once a day and age where Corum Nobis- an organization that had long fallen into silent obscurity- had publicly stated its strong hatred for the rise of Espers and Magicians amongst normal human beings. Leading a battalion of projects meant to potentially stop such powers from going out of control, the entire organization itself fell apart and almost became like a terrorist organization. Monstrosities left its gates, and, attracted by the chaos such failed projects brought upon communities, Clowns gathered and further worsened the effect. A good chunk of them scattered into the grounds of Greece and took advantage of everyone’s lack of familiarity with them there.

A wrestler dubbed Hercules emerged on a massively known wrestling ring- the Neo-Coliseum- one day as he proclaimed that he would take on ALL kinds of opponents, including those who were truly dangerous even outside of the wrestling scene. The people of Greece held their hopes low when he proclaimed that he could defeat anything in his way, but they soon cheered him on as he made efforts into actually helping the people of Greece. He challenged the Clowns and even criminals who had already been lurking in the country as he invited them to an empty Neo-Coliseum. There, a live broadcast showed off Hercules defeating every challenger without a single scratch getting on him. His Esper power allowed him to go far, but not until he met his strongest opponent yet!

What truly received everyone’s attention was his duel with an incredibly odd composition of metal and flesh- one of the cancelled prototypes of Corum Nobis’ ATLAS projects. Standing his ground against what appeared to be one of the Espers’ most competent enemies, Hercules tore its metal arm off as he defeated the mechanical monster- in front of the camera! Greece was filled with hope, and people not only labelled him as a hero, but also inspired people to further strengthen the country’s plans on preventing such invasions from happening again. By the time Hercules cut the camera, which was set up by himself, the hero fell and bled to death, for the monstrosity had done its toll on him.

Hawke Grisham happened to be passing by when he spotted the Neo-Coliseum in shambles. Confused, he rushed in and found Hercules in his last breaths. He had been a huge fan of the wrestler, and considering that he was a maniac when it came to loving wrestling, Hawke was heartbroken at the sight of a hero fallen. The man handed Hawke the robotic arm he used to slay ATLAS and told him to keep it safe. Before Grisham was able to ask why, however, the hero closed his eyes.

Hawke now resides in Japan, participating in community service activities once in a while as he lives in a rather shabby apartment. He made some good friends there, including a boxer whose fame was not in danger and kind neighbors, but alas, he could not help but wonder what Hercules meant when he entrusted the arm to him. Times seemed to have changed once more, however, as odd activities began to brew around Pyramid City… And this seems to have stirred the once inactive relic back to life. Believing that he must carry out the legacy of one of modern Greece's fallen heroes, Hawke Grisham decides he must make his debut to the world as soon as possible. The question was how...

Personality: Hawke can become almost painfully loud when he gets excited, and tends to be fueled by people who cheer him on even by small amounts. Being ignored by others pains him, but that never stops Hawke from being the outgoing and naively trusting man he is. While he does claim that he has a heart that greatly resembles a merciless hero’s, as a wrestling fan who has done tryouts for pro wrestling, he understands what it’s like to pretend to be in pain and actually inflicting real damage on others. Challenging him may put him on the edge of excitement, but the thought of wounding people is a pretty hard one to get across to him.

He may be very childish in his own right, but he is one of the few people who hides very little-if not all- secrets from others. When he's alone, he studies random things to keep himself not as stupid as people think he is. Not that it changes a lot of things, but it's the thought that counts.

Quirks
Likes: Hawke loves attention, and he’d try to do anything for any fans he happens to make if they request of him to do something. His favorite kind of role to play ever since he watched wrestling shows was the role of a “hero,” and receiving compliments easily makes him a happy man.

Dislikes: Being called a “villain” easily triggers Hawke due to his love for not only his country, but helping people in general. He can also easily be angered if someone calls him stupid for not knowing certain things that are completely out of his league.

Talents
Skills: As a wrestling fan with above-average wrestling skills, he’s great at… wrestling. Fortunately for him, his wrestling style is based on actual combat wrestling despite having its own quirky flashiness to it. Hawke can practically blaze through crowds of people due to his crowd-controlling grapple attacks, thus making him incredibly useful when facing enemies such as Clowns or unidentified human targets. He does not have any specific immunities to Esper or magic powers, thus making him susceptible to such attacks.

Unique to Hawke is the super-powered arm he carries around, which is what truly makes him special during combat. The hidden power of a prototype ATLAS machine still residing in it, the ATLAS arm, which he dubs the “Power Glove,” has enough power to supercharge itself and withstand supernatural attacks, even if Hawke himself isn’t. Its power is not to be trifled with due to the raw power it has, and for some reason, it only allows Hawke to wear it. Hawke can usually be seen lugging this arm around on his back, as it is about three times the size of his muscular arm.

Hawke also has the unique ability to turn any kind of surrounding into some sort of wrestling scenario: if there are ladders, he will gain access to overhead attacks that are guaranteed to cause a shockwave when he lands with the Power Glove, and if there are chairs, he can kick them as if they were projectiles. Some of his clear weaknesses include, but are not limited to, a lack of an actual ranged attack aside from gapclosing dashes and the lack of immunity against Esper and magic attacks, despite the Power Glove itself being quite resistant to such abilities.

He is the only regular human to have actually gotten close to beating Bang Constantine in freestyle sparring matches without any artificial enhancements to his body. Bang is so far one of the few non-Espers who has defeated Espers head-on without knowing it.

Biography: Saiba was born in Italy to an Italian mother and a Japanese father. His father was an ordinary man, but his mother was a fairly strong Mage. It was thanks to her that Saiba was first educated in manipulating his Prana in his adolescence; she'd hoped to teach him some magic once he could work with it, but when it was discovered that he was an Esper... that rather put a damper on things. Still, it wasn't like the practice went to waste, and Esper training wasn't exactly hard to secure. In time, and with practice, he started getting the hang of things.

As he got stronger, however, it became harder to find personnel who could teach him further. Most of the local instructors were ill equipped or simply unable to advise Espers above the most basic levels, and Saiba had a strong desire to nurture his gifts. It was his father that came up with the solution; Pyramid City, the place where Espers and other uniquely gifted individuals were being encouraged to gather near his homeland of Japan. The decision was made, and a young adult Saiba was off to the MegaCorp city.

What he found when he got there, however, was not at all what he expected. Rather than a place of learning like he thought it might be, the place was a lot like any other large city; certainly some good to it, but also a lot of bad lurking just under the surface. The Entrance Exam for ENMA proved little trouble to him, but the tuition was almost prohibitively expensive. He found a solution easily enough- the Monitors, student volunteers on security detail in exchange for scholarship money. It sounded like the perfect thing for him... until he got in and figured out they didn't really do anything of note. Just kept an eye out a window, reported anything they thought was suspicious, and then left it alone. He wound up leaving the Monitors out of disgust, which forced him to drop out of the school and look for work elsewhere. He took the things he'd managed to learn to heart, however, and made sure to spend time each day honing his Ability.

Then, about 3 years ago, he was contacted by a Private Security Company who had caught wind of him and his actions as a Monitor. They talked at length, about what the PSC was and how they operated, and at the end of it Saiba was offered a job with them. Short on income and looking for a chance to do some good in the world, he accepted. A year and a half of training followed, and then he was given an assignment; he was to go undercover at ENMA as an innocuous position (Janitor was his idea), and from there his role was to keep an eye on the students and, if need be, step in to protect them from threats. 

Personality:[Reassuring] Saiba Castellano is an even-tempered man who seems to take everything in stride. He endeavors to treat everyone he meets with respect and kindness, from the weakest student to the Level 10s themselves, and seems to always be wearing a smile of some kind. He's easy to get along with and doesn't hesitate at all to give advice if he can... but if provoked he's incredibly ruthless in response. "Beware the anger of a gentle man," as it were.

Subject Castellano is able to manipulate and, in a more limited scope artificially create, the effects of gravitational fields on objects and others. Through practice and personal experimentation, Subject Castellano has discovered that it is both less stressful on his Prana reserves and more effective overall to redistribute the earth's existing gravitational pull from one area to another rather than amplify or reduce it directly. As his Ability Level has increased, so too has the maximum range at which he can perform this feat. 

Due to the subject's habit of operating under an increased gravitational pull in his daily life, he has developed impressive physical prowess; his strength is naturally greater than most on account of being accustomed to all items he uses being heavier, and he can grant himself a surprising increase in agility and speed simply by returning himself to normal gravity. 

In addition, upon reaching Level 7, the subject has gained the ability to briefly conjure gravitational singularities that will pull nearby objects toward the center. Objects that move into the outside will have orbital forces applied to them, and if enough force to break out is not attained they will begin to curve around the singularity. At present, however, these singularities can only exist for a brief period with a maximum effect diameter of 10 feet. If prior results are conclusive, the size, duration, and power of the singularities is likely to increase as the subject's Ability Level grows.
