Solomon nodded at Charles instructions, before following up with, "Good morning, um, Charles? Dragon? Master? Er, I actually have no idea how to address you," he said, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. He was about to greet Morgana properly, however she'd already finished her meal and headed to her room. "Uh, yeah."

Taking a seat, Solomon helped himself to breakfast as well. He wasn't as a voracious an eater as Morgana was, so he finished relatively quickly. Nodding in satisfaction, he followed suit and headed to his room to bond with egg.

"Ey partner. Back again. Looks like I've got some free time for you before practice. Lucky eh?" Cradling the egg close to him, he inhaled as he focused his will to envelope the both of them in a warm membrane of magic. "Heh. I'm still slightly giddy, by the way. Just so you know."

The eggs wouldn't really give any kind of response. The eggs would be warm to the touch of course. They would feel their connection to their dragons deeply though contact with it. Charles would begin setting up a lot more targets for them to practice against when they finished with their eggs. When they would arrive he'd chuckle "I'm going to teach you the other ball techniques today" he would tell them. "The name of each technique, Fireball, Waterball, SandBall, Breezeball" he would tell them "The chant is mostly the same as the one for fire just change the element part and the spell name" he tells them. "Manually changing the elements is the hardest part so that's why it's best to use the chant version to get a feel of it before you start to do the nonchant version since it's harder" he states to them, things his said before. "I want you to fire at lest five of each type of ball spell at the targets before we move on"

Solomon nodded, and was actually tempted to smile, though he refrained from doing so to avoid looking overconfident. He had actually attempted this the night before, and slept while thinking on the process. Last night, the spell didn't go so well, even if he chanted, but after some time reflecting, he was sure that was because he was too low on stamina to cast it. Now though, he was refreshed, if a bit sore. Casting this should prove no problem at all, he was certain.

In fact, why not take certainty to the next level?

Last time, he included the chant in addition to his image. Assuming he was right, and it only failed because he was tired, then at that meant that the image managed to work for him. Now, he focused on the image in his head. Let the chain flow, instead of break - a link of chains, turning, and piling seamlessly on top of each other.

Wordlessly, the ball of water formed on top of his palm, and he let it rest there as he exhaled deeply, slightly relieved that it had gone well. Then, narrowing his eyes, he aimed at one of the targets, and hurled.

As with the Fireball, the first shot completely missed the mark - in a slight twist though, it did hit a target. Just not the one he was aiming for. Smiling ruefully, he remarked, "Eeeh, that could have gone better . . .," as he straightened himself out and prepared for his next attempt.

Five of each type, plus with new elements? This sounded exhausting, but then against everything they'd done so far had been difficult one way or the other. To her surprise Solomon immediately fired of a water ball without even bothering with a chant. Morgana glowered for a moment. When had he gotten so far ahead of her? Growling lowly to herself Morgana grabbed her energy roughly and gathered it into her hand. It came easy, the pain for such a simple task hardly noticeable at this point. The next part was where it got rough. A breezeball should be easiest, it was just air after all. Morgana grabbed her mental knife more fiercely and concentrated. The raw energy slowly changed into air, swirling around her hand. She kept it there for a moment, barely keeping the power in check. Determined to succeed Morgana's grasp on her mental knife was so fierce a thin, unnoticed cut appeared on her right hand, the one holding the sphere. Then she pushed forward and the air surged onward, slamming into the target with a loud howling noise, it wasn't so much of Morgana letting go as it hit as her losing control as it hit, though it produced much the same effect. She let out a somewhat ragged breath indicating the effort it had taken her but steadfastly prepared to do it again. Five of each type. Easy peasy. She could do this without even taking a break.

The Waterball would just splash where ever it landed, didn't look like it had much force. the Breezeball was even worse since it seemed to have no force to it, and would seem to be like a breeze just passed by the target. The cuts that appeared would of been from the harsh use of Morganas magic. Charles would sigh "let me guess you guys are making images based off your 'core' correct?" he asks them. "try to changing that to imagination involving the spell" he tells them. "Instead of imagining your core, imagine the process of creating the spell" he tells them "Imagine each aspect of the spell separately then together" he tells them "Imagine your magic flowing out of your core and down your arms, and out your palms, imagine it shaping into a sphere, then imagine that magic turning into heat, liquid, sand, or air" he tells them. "The imagine it flying at your target and imagine it hitting the target" he says. "If needed imagine each separately one at a time, before imagining it happening all at once" he says to them. as he tells them this he would begin to heal their injuries.

Should they attempt to do it as he said they would find it being easier to create the spheres without hurting themselves, and would find it a lot more accurate than before, though not perfect, and all of the spells would have a lot more force behind them, like the breeze ball would rip a target out of the ground, a fireball would obliterate a target entirely, a water ball would hit with enough force to break a piece of it, and so would the sand ball.

Morgana frowned seeing the ineffectiveness of her spell. If they'd been doing this wrong the whole time why hadn't he bothered fixing it before? Wasn't he supposed to be some sort of teacher? It wasn't like this stuff was self-intuitive! Moving on from Charles's teaching quality Morgana focused on this new information. Change from the core to the process of creating the spell. Didn't they need their 'core' to use their magic? No matter, she would try anything to make her stronger. A deep breath. A single flowing thought. Morgana looked ahead with glazed eyes, focused on her internal energy. Magic from her core, flowing through her arms, racing like water into her palms and collecting in the air above them, congealing into a sphere. A single thought further and the smooth mana was suddenly swirling winds, contained easily just above her hands. A simple push and she saw the sphere crash into the target in her mind moments before it did in reality. She let out a small cry of excitement as she saw the increased power that accompanied the successful launch of the spell.
