*James would watch her walk away, sighing as he wonders if he made a mistake. Looking back at the fire and holding his hand up to rub his cheek, but mostly to try and talk quietly with Neric to avoid others heading him or seeing him act weird* "Think I made the wrong choice Neric?" *He waits as he hears the Void grumbling and trying to speak up to him* "I don't think so James, give her time. She may still need to take this all in." *James nods as he thinks, looking around. Pondering on what to do. But seeing everyone here, he gets the feeling that with her personality everyone will like her. Which would be good, though she would forget about him. He's used to it though, even if it did sting. It always does though. Looking at the hand for a minute as he looks around*

"Get my mind off things, looks nice out here. Think there is enough nature for you to handle?" *He chuckles softly as the Void grunts, seeming to take his joke with a grain of salt. Neric wasn't really a nature creature, in fact he prefers the city over anything. He never said why though, he never liked talking about his past. After a moment he sighs and shakes his head, wondering when they can head off to their cabins. He needed to make himself at home as the Void speaks in his head* "James, the future is never certain. In all my time I have seen bad and good." *His words didn't really help James's state at the moment, nervous about everyone around him. He would just stay in his place and wait, looking at the fire as he thinks. Tomorrow would be a new day, time for something new as he smiles*

Cecilia studied the schedule as posted on the bulletin board, gathering what she could expect in the coming days. She looked over towards the now distant fire pit which was now thoroughly surrounded by teenagers to the point that she lost site of the log she sat on. She continued to stand by the wooden-legged board, gazing in that direction, as if anxiously waiting for something to happen. After a minute or so, she looked away, suddenly less than eager to go back. Even if she did, she doubted whether she would be good company, especially compared to whoever he's probably associating with at the moment. With that, she soon determined a walk may do her good until the end of the day. Additionally, it couldn't hurt to later go back to the cabin and unpack. Cecilia sighed wistfully and started walking towards a section of tree line far from the fire pit. Goodbye... for now, James... Neric... have fun.

*Seeing the pair over by the fire, James would nod and smile. Getting up from his spot and walking over, his thoughts still thinking on a certain someone but pushing them to the side for a moment to try and get to know a few others at the camp. Better to get to know someone sooner then later. Seems the girl is very energetic while the guy is more layed back as far as it seems, like keeping an eye on her as he tries to relax?* "Hello there, both of you new to the camp as well or been here before?" *He thinks on it as he grunts, manners James come on. Still trying to learn how to interact with people better, still learning* "Oh where my manners, the name's James." *Holding out his hand out to either of them for a handshake as he looks strange now, he could not have messed up that introduction anymore then he did*

Helena took a spot on one of the logs and watched James interact with Ivy and her brother. He seemed like a nice guy. She wondered how quickly people would make friends. She then spotted Cecilia wondering off towards the trees, away from the firepit. Helena hopped off the log and jogged for Cecilia. "Why are you leaving? The party's over there," she joked.

Kyle turned to the boy that approached him. He kept one hand on Ivy. His sister bounced around trying to get to the fire pit. Even though that there was no fire in it right now she could feel the embers that lingered there. It was going to be hard to contain her. He had to do his best to make sure she didnt start a forest fire. "No this is our first time here. We heard about this place and wanted to try it."

"Alright. We are going to play a few games to help everyone get to know each other. Please be seated." The couselors said in unison. They pointed to the benches around the park benches.

Cecilia slowed her pace following the forest edge as she looked out through the trees, her mind elsewhere. It was all happening so fast. It felt like she had already been through this once today already. Didn't she decide then to try and make memories here? Now she seems likely to make camp memorable, but for the wrong reason. The girl's right hand came over her left elbow, a sense of regret in her expression. Maybe it wasn't a demonstration she owed, but an apology. She sighed, just as an abrupt and inexplicable sense of cold came over her, causing her pause. Additionally, there was a nagging feeling in the back of her mind as if...

Cecilia jumped a little in surprise at being called, not seeing Helena coming at all. "Oh, it's you!" she exclaimed in amazement, happy to see her nevertheless. "Um, r-right. I was just wondering around... I guess I could go back," she said, sounding less than enthusiastic near the end.

*James nods as he looked to them both, seems he was trying to keep her in one place. Why? He wouldn't know* "Oh alright. Well this place does seem like it will be fun-" *Interrupted as the counsulars spoke, causing him to look over as he sighs. Looking back at Kyle as he sighs* "Sorry to cut this short, maybe we can talk later. Sorry." *Him walking off to the benches, well now he looked weird there. Not his fault but he maybe should have waited till the next day to converse. Well tomorrow is still an option as he takes a bench to himself, looking around as he twiddles his thumbs. Waiting for the games to start*

"Hey, don't be so down, this camp's supposed to be a fun place," Helena said. She turned her head back towards the firepit and saw them preparing something. "We should probably head back, it looks like they're doing something. And hey, if you need some 'girl talk' or anything else, I don't mind at all." Helena gave Cecilia a smile, accidentally showing her rather sharp K-9's and went back to the firepit.

Cecilia seemed puzzled for a second. She had never engaged in "girl talk" before, whatever that was. She nodded with a smile however, grateful that Helena offered to help, and accompanied her to the fire pit, though a a few steps behind her. Cecilia turned her head, looking back at the forest. She was alone yet, yet it felt like a presence was near her. It was uncanny. She decided to let it go for now, other matters demanding her attention. "Um... thanks for coming to get me... My name's Cecilia, by the way. Can you tell me your name? Sorry for not asking before," she mentioned rather meekly, embarrassed that she allowed this much time to pass before asking.

"Don't worry about it, Cecilia," Helena said, repeating her name so it would stick better, "I'm Helena." She took a seat at the firepit and motioned her hand for Cecilia to join her. They were going to have to spend the summer together, so might as well make friends now.

Cecilia did so, smiling at Helena. She slouched a little in her seat, which felt better compared to the log she sat on earlier. Her hands clasped together in thought, she wondered what activity the twin counselors wanted to do on the first day. Likely something small and to help the campers get to know each other better. She had little idea how normal schools handled "ice breaker" events as she rarely attended the beginning day.

Valencia looked around, the fire place was near some nice climbing trees one of those was near a bench where was told to take a seat.
She walked away from the group and climbed in the tree. There was a nice thick branch not that far from the ground but far enough that you had the climb in the tree to get there. Valencia took a seat there against the base of the tree. She looked at the others, and began to study them, since she was interested in what kind of "powers" they all have.

"We are going to play a few ice breakers. We know some of you will think this is silly. But they will hopefully make you feel more comfortable with each other. First we will allow you to share whatever you are comfortable with. After this you will have to answer as honestly and completely as you can. Who would like to start?" The counselors explained.

"I guess I don't mind," Helena said and leaned back a bit. "I'm Helena Estrada, 16, and I for my powers when I was... Three? My parents are scientists, and they were making this chemical to cure a disease- some type of flu. Well, they tested it and tested it on different animals. These animals gained..." she said, trying to find the right word, "abilities. The results were all consistent, so they tested it on me. It worked." The young woman set upright again and lifted her hand, creating a rough, leathery, scaly surface, like an alligator. "This is what they have me. I don't resent them or anything, it's pretty cool. A lot of kids don't think so though," she added a little darkly. "The first people to see my powers, other then family, were the students of my kindergarten class. A boy I liked said he loved puppies. Of course, being five and not knowing shape shifting isn't normal, I morphed my head into a dog's. The kids flipped, and ran away, screaming 'Monster!' I'm not a monster or anything, but I guess compared to the normal human I'm a little... abnormal," Helena chuckled, morphing her hand back. "Alright, I'm done rambling, who's next?"

*James would think a bit on what to say, new to everyone and nervous. Not knowing if Cecilia was scared or nervous about his powers. So as per the norm, he wouldn't bring it up to everyone else unless he was forced to. Standing up as he regards those around*

"Hello my name is James, I am 16 years old. I found out about my power when I was 7 years old but I guess I was born with it... and I don't feel fully comfortable about showing it. So please don't judge me there..." *He would take a moment to think on what next to say as he huffs and shrugs* "Nothing real special about me besides that, I was never popular. I was bullied in school and my parents kicked me out a year after I found out about my power. Been on the road ever since. Guess that's it for me, who's next?" *Sitting down as he looks around, more of a neutral expression on his face. Did he say too much or just enough? Or maybe he didn't say enough, well he did what he was told and now he can wait and listen to everyone else*

"HELLO! MY NAME IS IVY! MY BROTHER BROUGHT ME TO CAMP! MY ABILITY IS FIRE! I DON'T KNOW WHEN I GOT MY POWER! I'VE HAD IT SINCE I WAS LITTLE! I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO ALL THE DIFFERENT THINGS WE WILL DO. I HOPE TO MAKE LOTS AND LOTS OF FRIENDS!" Ivy announced excitedly. She jumped around excitedly. She bounced almost none stopped

Valencia jumped of the branch and walked over to where the others are.

"Hello my name is Valencia Moon, I'm also 16 years old. Since the day that I was born I had my powers. My parents are magicians and are always busy with there shows, so I was pretty much alone. My power is telekinesis with a bit op pyromansy." she told while opening her back and holds a blue ball out. She decided to throw it in the air and when it started to fall down she looked at it and it was sitting in mid air without moving at all. "This is my power." Valencia said and took a step back while leaving the ball in the air.

Cecilia, while knowing that she should have been planning out what to say on her own behalf, was instead preoccupied with everyone elses' turn, feeling awestruck, perplexed, and kind of sick at the same time. She gazed at the ball that Valencia suspended in midair, knowing she had to introduce herself sooner or later. "H-hello," she started as she stepped forward to garner attention that she didn't really want. "My name is Cecilia Curtis. I'm fifteen years old. I've... pretty much been on the road for several years with my dad - never stayed anywhere for very long. So..." She would have loved to end it there, but she then remembered about her powers. "Oh, right. (Ahem) I can control kinetic energy... since I was in elementary," she mentioned, looking down on the ground for a suitable stone, picking the smoothest one and stepping over for a clear shot of the forest clearing. She then closed her eyes and cupped the rock in her hands. She simply placed the rock on the grass and stepped aside so others could see. The rock proceeded to move at a brisk, ever steady pace through the clearing and passed the cabins to the other side before disappearing in the woods. Not the most flashy demonstration and she preferred it if the stone had more energy behind it, but Cecilia was okay with it. She quietly made her way to her seat, only to abruptly rise again to formerly announce "Um, that's it for my turn," before sitting again. Embarrassed though she was, her discomfort wasn't paramount in her mind.

Kyle stood up silently. Compared to his sister he was much calmer. "My name is Kyle. I am here with my sister Ivy. I have the ability to control water. Which is handy with Ivy around. We have moved alot since our parents died." He told them softly. No one wanted siblings with powers. Especially Ivy who had so much energy and couldn't control her powers that well. He refused to leave her. She was his responsibility so where she went so did he.

"I think that's everyone," Helena said with a bright smile. It was amazing to see all of the different powers and to hear the origins. A feeling of lonliness she never knew she had suddenly lifted and her smile became a little brighter. Everyone here was unique in their own unique way, but that uniqueness brought them together, brought them here. The different powers amazed her, almost like she didn't have powers of her own. "What's next? I could go for some s'mores," Helena lightly joked.
