APPEARANCEMalcom is 5'4", a fair height for a boy his age; With a decent bodybuild to match. His hair is cut short, and his eyes are a lime-green color; His attire consists of a pair of tan kahki shorts and a green T-Shirt, along with a pair of white sneakers. His backpack is a simple blue-camo design, and aside from that he has no notable accessories aside from a necklace with a dangling cross.
PERSONALITYMalcom is a big brother, through and through: He shows a large amount of concern for kids younger than he is due to growing up as the oldest of three. This leads to him often checking their condition and ensuring everything is fine before thinking of progressing forward, and to him being extremely protective. While he isn't a violent individual in the slightest, he will defend a child in nearly any situation; Mostly by starting off with words rather than actual combat.
Malcom has a belief that everyone deserves to be treated fairly; He sees the monsters as people just like him, that live on the same planet, in the same universe; And doesn't understand the human's fears, even though the stories tell of the horrors of the monsters. Even in terrifying situations, Malcom often keeps his cool; And tries to talk and understand any problem he is presented with. That doesn't mean he isn't afraid, however; In fact, Malcom is, on the inside, a very terrified person: He tries to not show it in order to keep up the "Big Bro" appearance, but every once in awhile, he wished he had someone he could look up to instead. It's not uncommon for him to blubber and breakdown when people aren't looking; And if he trusts someone enough, he'll let them know his feelings about things without hesitation.
Having been raised rather strictly, Malcom is, quite possibly, the only individual who will correct just about anybody if he sees something wrong. Language, actions, or other dastardly deeds; He doesn't go on long rants, but he does voice his opinion, and never raises his voice while doing so; Making it, at times, a moot point to scream, yell, and generally argue with him.
A big issue for Malcom is that he is quite trusting of others; And tends to give them the benefit of the doubt, to the point of being called an idiot. He isn't dumb enough to fall for the same trick too many times, but he is, generally, very easy to trick; To the point he could get himself killed down here due to it, if his mediocre fighting abilities don't get him killed first.
HISTORYMalcom is a simple boy from a Christian household of 5; Being the oldest of three boys, it's always been his responsibility to watch his siblings and ensure they kept out of trouble. Throughout his life, he'd heard many things about monsters; That they were demons, that needed to be sealed away for the safety of God's children; But Malcom was never certain of the concept.
He knew, in his heart, that if the lord created man and monster, then man and monster were meant to both live and enjoy their lives. He wouldn't create monsters just so they could be killers, psychopaths, and scum. Malcom had a hidden, but firm, belief in his thoughts; That monsters belonged on the surface, just like humans did. But he was never sure of exactly what he could do about it but pray, and hope that he got his answer.
