And So It Begins...

Ryūko sighed as she gazed up at the clouds. It was just another day. Her chores around the village were done, she'd read all of her books. So now she was out by herself. Her adopted siblings were off doing their own things, and Mama was out patrolling the boundaries of the Village of Beginnings.

She sighed again, lifted her arm up, and examined her D-Bracer. It had been a birthday gift from Mama a few years ago, when she found out she wasn't a Digimon like her siblings. The black and silver device was familiar to her, although she still didn't know what it was for. "Never lose this, my Little Dragon," Mama had instructed her. "With this, you'll be able to do things none of your brothers and sisters can. You're special. Never forget it, but never let it go to your head."

Was someone screaming? Ryūko sat up and glanced around. She found the source of the sound: several figures, falling from the sky. "Hope they're okay," she murmured. The girl got to her feet, and took off towards the forest the newcomers were falling into.

I won’t die here… This is just the beginning!

Meruem had known deep down he would die. How could he survive the pure destruction that came with being a living meteor. Even still, he clenched his fist in defiance of his fate, glared hard at the approaching ground, and was determined to find a way. Finding that solution, even if it meant losing a few limbs, was worth the world.

It was in the next moment that he noticed a blindingly white glint. It vanished for just a moment before flickering into existence again. This happened several more times before Meruem realized what was happening. Someone… or something was following along with his trajectory at an alarming speed.

A blanket of trees turned into a fuzzy haze of green as he realized just how fast he was going. Which, in the grand scheme of things made him wonder, Just how fast is that thing was going?!

He glanced up, a fragment of a instinct guiding him. Just in time to save his life, he cocked his fist back and plowed it into a small, red-shelled insect. It buzzed passed him shakingly before saying, “Hey! Are you al-! Wait! W-What the? Was that a hu-”

The rest trailed off as Meruem wrestled with the merciless fingers of the wind. “A talking monster!” It was then that Meruem truly accepted that he was back in the Digital World. He smiled to himself, more determined than ever to somehow, someway, survive his fall. With the ground fast approaching, Meruem roused up a slumbering roar and screamed his rejection before shutting his eyes. A hard impact bruised his arms a second later, a sharp object tore through his jacket and bloodied his forearm in that same moment.

But... he was okay.

“Meruem, welcome back.”

Hearing his name was odd, especially coming from a young but ambitious voice. He opened his eyes to see a small dragon; one covered in white gleaming fur with powerful yellow eyes. Not at all new to the whole Digimon scene, Meruem calmly sat back onto his bottom and observe the destructive scene behind him.

“You… You caught me?” he asked casually.

“Sure did, it's the least I could do for my chosen partner,” The white dragon proclaimed.

Meruem turned to look back at him but was utterly caught off by how fearsome and awesome he looked. He felt himself gawking and ceased it immediately. “Your name? I need it if I’m going to thank you.”

The white dragon strode over to him, stopping but three feet away. A slanted pillar of light came into existence in front of him as the clouds burst apart overhead. More objects were falling, Meruem had discovered.
“... Its Hackmon, Meruem.”

His sights remained glued on the sky as he watched them trail into different areas. “That won’t do, Hackmon. From here on out I'm calling you, Hero. Cause you saved my life and my mission. Thank you."

In all his time in the Digiworld Danny hadn't found a single village despite his partners' insistence that that was the most likely place to find other humans. He had been considering giving up on finding others stuck there like him, and instead focus on finding a way back on his own world.

Just as he was about to inform his four companions Mask spotted something up in the air. "Hey, what is that?" Curious and glad for the opportunity to postpone telling his Digimon the bad news Danny made a decision. "No idea, but it probably landed pretty close. I say we check it out.". Since no one objected to the plan the five of them headed off in the direction they thought the falling object should have landed.

Ryūko ran faster, getting closer to the falling figures. Upon closer inspection, she could see that they weren't Digimon, and the idea made her excited and nervous: They're humans, like me!

She ran past her two little brothers, Kuro and Kanzo. "Ryūko, what's the rush?" asked Kuro. She didn't answer. Kanzo glanced at his brother, shrugged, and took off after their adopted sister. "Wait for me!" Kuro fell into step behind them.

Lillian layed at the grassy ground watching the blue sky above her, not really sure what just happened. Just a moment ago she was walking at that usual street to the her home to the closes shop, but this time something happened and she really didn't know what. Thought all she knowed was that she was not into the Street or even a town anymore, she was very big grassy field, Who knows where.

Sighing she rolled around so she could get to her feets, grooming her dirty, grassy clothers noticing that her D-Bracer which she was founded at the cellar was shining now. She really didn't know what it was, just thinked it as a very badass sweatbank and this was the first time that it actually shined as well.

The Place where she was right now and the D-Bracker shining, maked her feel little nervous, something inside her called that thinks are going to get serious now and thoise peaceful days could be over By now. Thought first of all she needs to find out where she is and why?.

Asura and Hero walked side-by-side down a path inside the forest. Where it led, Asura was unsure but he had put his utmost faith in his new partner. Wherever it went, he was sure it was for the better and not the worst. There was a fresh wind blowing through the trees where they were headed; wherever they were headed.

Hero paused a few minutes into walking, stopping in front of what appeared to be a god-child’s nursery. He hesitated to look him in the eye.

“What’s up, Hero?” Asura asked, his hand tucked in his pocket.

When he hadn’t spoken immediately, Asura looked ahead at the village. “What? You got some bad memories of the place or something? We don’t have to go this way.”

“No that’s not it,” He conceded. “This is the Village of Beginnings. It’s where all Digimon are born… I think. Look, I just don’t want you getting any funny ideas about finding another partner here. I’m your partner, got that guy?”

Asura genuinely chuckled, thought it was short lived. “I’m a one mon kinda-guy. You don’t have to worry, Hero. Now lets keep going. I’m eager to find my brother.”

“Yea, me too.” Hero agreed.

Tye opened his eyes slowly, pleasantly surprised to see a clear blue sky rather than the black abyss he imagined would come after dying. That was what really confused him, the whole not dying thing. Just a few seconds ago he was plummeting from the sky at a very unhealthy speed, now he was lying flat on some pretty soft grass. Now that he thought about it, he didn't even know how he ended up falling from the sky either. Maybe he was dead after all?

"Eh, I'm sure it'll work itself out." He removed one of his favourite grape suckers from the bag of sweets he had somehow miraculously managed keep hold of during his descent and popped it into his mouth. He placed his hands behind his head, making himself comfortably as he lounged on the grass.

Ryūko and her brothers stopped. In the clearing ahead there was another human, a girl. The three didn't come out. "Sooo... are we gonna talk to her?" Kuro whispered.

"They just fell out of the sky," Kanzo whispered back. "I think we might scare them." He glanced at Ryūko. "Well... of me and Kuro." A panicked look crossed Ryūko's face.

"But I've never met another human!" she said quietly. However, there was a good possibility the other girl could hear her. "You just expect me to waltz up and say hi?"

"I'm all ears if you have a better plan," said Kuro.

Violet felt herself falling fast. A few quick attempts at controlling her dream later, the relatively stunning revelation that she was wide awake struck her. Luckily, she was incredibly high in the air, giving her plenty of time to reflect on her imminent demise. Looking around her she saw a world unlike anything she'd ever seen before, and more immediately important, a strange device on her left wrist with... a small deck of cards? Carefully turned so that her back was to the ground she pulled the cards out and held them close to her body to help negate the wind of falling against them and looked at them. What better way to spend my last moments? Card games.
The cards were... She blinked. Blank? Quickly counting them, she found that she had ten blanks cards of some sort before all but two were ripped from her grasp into the air. Fantastic. she thought as her eyes narrowed. She sighed and placed one card back in its place on the device, focusing on the other. If this were some sort of anime... This card would be a wildcard, wouldn't it? Several thoughts raced through her mind before one settled firmly front and center. She looked over the device on her wrist again and confirmed that it did in fact have what seemed to be a card scanner. Deciding that if she was going to die, she was going to go out like a winner, she turned so that she was facing the ground and held the blank card in front of her. "I... reject?"
Nothing happened. Oh, right. Not cool enough. Once again holding the card away from her towards the ground, she held her left arm close to her body. "I reject!" she exclaimed before quickly sliding the card through the scanner. And to her surprise, something happened. The card now had a picture of six white wings on it and the name "White Wings" on the side. It took her several moments of staring at the card before she realized that she had spent several moments staring at it and should have by all accounts hit the ground already. A look behind her revealed six wings matching those on the card behind her which seemed to be slowing her fall. ... Duly noted. she thought as she glided towards a nearby forest. Now how do I get rid of these when I land?
