+Jin is excellent at math, seeming to have an innate talent for it, and can do high level calculus and trig in their head (also due to the dyslexia)
+Jin has almost impeccable aim, due to their ability to calculate almost instantaneously the velocity and force that they need to hit their target.
+Jin could probably become a licensed mechanic tomorrow; if given time and tools they can fix anything with an engine or moving parts. Part of this talent is due to research and experience, the other due to pure inside knowledge – they were born to fix machines. There's a job waiting for them after graduation at a local mechanic shop.
+Jin was a pickpocket for several years of their upbringing. They do not do so anymore (to anyone's knowledge) but still has nimble hands and the eyes of a trained thief.

-Jin has difficulty reading due to dyslexia that affects how they perceive letters and kanji.
-Jin also deals with bouts of insomnia that last for a few days to (at the very worst) nearly 2 weeks. They go from irritable, to clumsy, and then start having small periods of unconsciousness. The last time it got bad, Jin had to be hospitalized and medicated.
-Jin is not trusting by any sense, and that can get them into needless trouble.

Appearance:

5 feet tall, warm brown skin, black hair worn short. Likes to wear T-shirts with math jokes, and is rarely seen in public without their chest binder. The only time they don't wear it is to sleep, bathe, and when working in the garage, where the chest restriction gets in the way of their work.



Personality: In a society based on politeness and sameness, Jin stands out like a shark in a school of tuna. While Jin can play polite, they choose not to most of the time- there's a chip on their shoulder the size of a steel beam. Jin says what they're thinking, and really doesn't care who they bother or offend. However, in a rather ironic way, Jin's sharp and abrasive nature is a bit of a fake persona. Having lost too many people in their young life already, and feeling like an eternal outsider in Japan, Jin has given up on having friends and making connections. You can't lose what you don't have, right?

If anyone was bold and patient enough to keep on pressing at Jin's walls, they'd find a loyal friend and a true defender. Jin will fight to care for their friends- even if that's a fistfight. To the meek, they're a guardian. To the strong, they're a wingman. To the average.... they're probably rather encouraging, if not a little sharp-tongued. There are soft points to Jin as well; if someone is bullied or mocked for being different, Jin will be the first to step to that person's defense. Despite Jin's size, they fight like their life depends on it, even if the situation doesn't merit that level of violence.

Biography: Jin's mother, Yumiko Takahashi, emigrated to America as a young adult. After completing college, she worked as a court clerk, stenographer, and translator. She met Jin's father, Richard Ifriti, who was a detective that would often come in to testify on cases. They hit in off and fell in love, marrying and having a daughter, Jinayah. Jin had a happy life until about the age of five. Unfortunately, everything went sideways in Jin's life. A violent career criminal that Richard had put away nearly ten years ago escaped from prison. His first act was to seek out the detective who he considered responsible for ruining his life. Due to a heavy snowstorm in the area, the Ifriti family didn't get the warning until it was far too late. Richard and Yumiko were both shot and killed, and Jin only survived because the criminal didn't realize she existed. Due to the violent nature of her parents' murders, Jin fled the house and lived on the streets for many years, learning to pickpockets, steal and con for her survival. It took authorities several years to track Jin down again. By that time, Jin was ten, and the only relatives remaining to care for her were Yumiko's family in Japan.

Jin was bundled up and shipped off to Japan within a year. While Yumiko's brother and wife weren't against taking in their niece, they were a little unprepared for the task of raising Jin. Being homeless had formed a cold, hard shell around the child. Being half black and half Japanese, being strange and a poor speaker all served to make Jin quickly outcast in school. Add to that the fact that Jin had no problem with getting into fights and shoplifting convenience stores, and Jin was marked as a delinquient and a troublemaker before even reaching middle school.

In a matter completely separated from her traumatic youth, as Jin aged, she discovered that she didn't really too much like a girl. While it took quite a bit of time, research and argument to come to an understanding, they soon came to understand words like 'nonbinary' and 'gender neutral'. Though it took Jin's uncle and aunt a while longer to come to terms with the idea of Jin's identity, they became unflinchingly supportive, even helping to petition the school to allow Jin to wear a male student uniform. Jin stopped dressing in feminine clothing in middle school. Cutting off their hair, buying a binder to flatten their breasts, and dropping female pronouns entirely, Jin found a peace within their identity- not as a girl, and not really a boy either.

By the time they enrolled in Uchima Senior High, Jin was no longer apologizing for who they were in any case. They were fighting anyone who tried to force them to fit in a box. Jin quickly earned a semi-legendary status as a criminal and a bad boy, getting a lot of attention. Despite getting into trouble for more than one scuffle after school, Jin's grades remain constant and their conduct just short of disobeying rules directly. Despite some continued trouble with reading assignments, and atrocious handwriting, Jin's math and science scores are among the highest in the school. Their academic performance isn't even close to allowing their expulsion without putting the school in a nasty light and causing a lot of scandal. So, the school deals with Jin, and Jin deals with the school. Everyone is clearly waiting until the day Jin graduates and is free.

Personality: Chiaki is cheerful, direct, and confident young woman. She is not necessarily the most studious, always prone to taking naps and finding opportunities to lay around rather than study. That being said though, she is very witty and cunning. Chiaki can also be very caring and compassionate, willing to easily help a friend when in need with no personal gain in the end. She is known to be strong willed, not one to be “carried” by others for not being capable enough. It should also be noted that Chiaki can have a bit of a temper, often easily provoked and easy to fluster. She is not above breaking the rules either, never going out of her way to do so, but if the situation allows it why would she go out of her way to avoid the easiest solution?
Biography: Chiaki was once a sickly child, always missing school and hardly making any friends from a very young age. At one point, due to an illness which lasted nine months, she was forced to repeat a year of high school; as such, she is a year older than her classmates. After this, Chiaki was determined to stop her illnesses from holding her back and pestering in her life in such negative ways. This is one of the main reasons she took part in the martial arts club, always seeing in anime and manga how members could overcome any of their problems through fighting spirit, training, and determination. Chiaki strived to be that person, eventually getting to the point that she was one of the strongest girls in the club and being known to be a very athletic girl. Not everything was as it seems, though, for even though she fought hard to become stronger and healthier so that she would not be left behind, she still struggles with illness from time to time.

Archery - The only skill he has gotten any help with outside his family. He is one of the school's best archers, due to this it also makes it easy to carry his weapon around the school grounds and the surrounding area.

Cooking - Ryoma was taught how to cook at a young age due to necessity. But he's skilled at it, his cooking ranges from simple meals that kids won't object at to meals that can please even the most picky adults.

Cleaning - Ryoma is a bit of a neat freak, he is always keeping things clean, his locker, his room, his desk, his little siblings' rooms. If can be cleaned he will clean it.

Studying - With such a busy schedule at both home and school it's a miracle Ryoma is good at studying and is always on time with reports and school assignments, he is also a decent tutor as he taught his younger siblings a few times over the years.

Ikebana - Due to Ryoma's family' business he was taught how to arrange and decorate flowers and plants, you need steady hands and an eye for color and detail for this job which he does.

Ryoma is tall standing at 6'1", and he has decent muscles as he weighs about 178 Ibs. He has short brown hair that are pushed away from his face and is about eyebrow length. He has somewhat pale skin with a very subtle hint of a tan. He has intense brown eyes. He is often seen wearing sports shirts with flannel shirts on top of it, with sweatpants and sandals outside of school, which gives him a very casual and somewhat western style.

Personality:

Ryoma seems like a serious and stoic individual but in reality he is just very quiet and shy and is only ever open to friends and family, which can make him come off as standoffish and rude but in reality he's just nervous about being around others and often stutters when he has to speak. Ryoma suffers from anxiety as he feels like he always has unwanted attention due to his appearance and the rumors that surround him.

Due to his rather cautious and studious nature, he considers every word and actions of those around him and due to his anxiety he has a hard time trusting people he doesn't have preexisting relationship with. But beyond all that Ryoma is a very caring and supportive person, often at the cost of his own health and mental well-being.

Biography:

Ryoma was born as the oldest child of Ryotaro and Naomi Mikami. The Mikami family are well known in Shikatsu as a traditional Family, they dressed traditionally, they spoke traditionally, and lastly had very traditional jobs, Ryotaro was a flower arranger while Naomi works at a traditional boutique. Ryoma was an only child for almost a decade, he was a quiet yet carefree child, trying to help whenever he can. When his first little sister, Yomi, was born, he was nine years old, Ryoma grown attached to his little sister right away, often helping his parents take care of her, she was as quiet as he was when she grew older, but never shy. Then his little brother, Ryuuta, was born when Ryoma was eleven, he was a firecracker of a child, loud, booming, and excitable; Ryoma and his parents had their hands full with him. Then finally his last little sister, Ami, was born when he was thirteen, she was even worse then Ryuuta, she was tomboyish, tough, and energetic to the point of never being exhausted. Ryoma was pretty much a parental figure to his younger siblings as their parents still had to provide for them and have to spend most of their time working. While Ryoma loved his siblings and parents, he felt a little resentment of taking care of his little siblings as he was still a kid and soon to be teen himself. But he never spoke about and just accepted his role as a caretaker and being a background figure in his own life.

When Ryoma was in middle school he was a popular kid as he was easy to get along with and had good grades and was good at sports. But he never made any close friends, never any that he would consider a best friend at least. On his last year of middle school he lost his popularity not of out of anything bad, but just the fact he became busy with his personal life and had barely anytime to focus on clubs or friends. But he never became an outcast or bullied, he just kind of faded into the background.

When he enrolled into Uchima Senior High he was a total unknown. As most of his middle school classmates went to a different school and he stood out due to his height and sharp features. During his first year at Senior High he had a rumor spread about him, that he was a delinquent and would kill anybody that would get in his way. While the rumors keep flowing in from year to year, Ryoma kept to himself and he has both decently high grades and the highest scores in the archery club. But Ryoma is worried about the rumors he hears that isn't about him, the rumors that students are vanishing, it worries Ryoma since he fears that the rumors are true and that he may vanish without a trace and that very few students at the school will even notice or may even be glad he's gone.

Also I changed his moveset around to be more supportive, now I'm curious which set of ailments will you be using?
Will you use Persona 5's? or Persona 4's?

Man this certainly blew up! I was lurking around yesterday, but decided to look more into the different Arcana and tinker with character ideas before stating my interest.

Anyway, is there room for one more? I have ideas for either the Emperor or the Magician if they haven't been claimed yet.
