Yep! My manager has been silent on me ever since I handed my notice in- didn't even acknowledge to me that he'd received it. He was really difficult about me transferring off nights as well :/
But sod it, new job, new house, new life!

back on the I hate america train.... I just signed up for the ACA exchange.... 6 dollars in government subsidies because I make 33,000 a year.

I don't know if anyone does the math, but 72 dollars a year in subsidized health care in the state of new jersey, with an income of 33,000 (for those playing along at home, that's 16ish an hour or roughly 500 a week after obscenely high tax rates)... is a !@%(ing joke.....

Thanks Obamacare!

Yeah. :/
I'm honestly rediculously nervous about my husband being booted from the military, because I'm on medication that is really expensive, and so is he, and we're just going to drown...

Gyuh. He went to his hearing yesterday. They're still discharging him. Depending on if he appeals THIS decision, we're out of here between 3-7 months.

Surviving the Typhoon so far. Just leaky windows and flooding rooms. Grah.
Husband is stranded in Tokyo. He's going to try to get here tomorrow, and hopefully find a taxi home, if I can't pick him up...

Honestly it's a blessing so far and experience that I need to be welcomed by other companies should I eventually leave there too

:"3 I'm happy for you, girl.

So, conversation with my hubby last night. we were watching the Avengers. I asked him if, when disaster strikes, is it smarter to be on the streets and running, or inside and hiding. He said he didn't know. So was asked why not. Shouldn't the military train them in things like this? In case the Avengers show up to 'save' the city, but really they're just making everything worse.
He told me to watch the movie and held my head on his chest XD

I'm pretty sure it would be easier to stay put until the opportune moment arose to move on the streets. Mayhem comes in waves, either move before the first hit of you were lucky to see it coming or wait and move just before the second. Your area will be desecrated but there will be less of the trouble if you hid from danger first

That's what I thought. But I like to try to engage him in conversation. ;P He's not a vocal guy.
Unless we're play fighting. Then all we do is yell at each other.

In the event of an unforeseen invasion (Of any kind) it is best to address where it is hitting before taking action to avoid it. in most cases people panic and run in any general away direction that can often lead to either coming to a dead end (No pun intended) or the fastest way of escape being blocked. From what I have seen in movies, documentaries and scenarios it is best to take time to first establish a way out and avoid using main roads for transport. It is also optional to use a vehicle as they can make you a bigger target. This is just what I have gathered, and I have put a lot of thought into things like this as well because I have always loved disaster/apocalyptic settings. Seeing as I live outside of a city and where it is so flat I can see into Canada I don't think escape is really an issue for me.

This must be why i'm clueless. I lived out of reach in the country. If something attacked my property, we'd have been fucked. XD
Now i'm on a military base. We'd be herded like cattle.
