Ehh. Well, for the sake of conversation

Before he was a pirate he worked as a payed killer, an assassin. From the age of 13 he had already killed 3 people.

It simply states that he was an assassin before turning into a pirate. Killing 3 people by the age of 13 could be totally unrelated, they could've been the neighboring children etc.

Assassins have requirement. Believe it or not, you can't be a professional(never mentioned he was) assassin at 13. Secondly, assassins don't take eyeballs, or write messages on the walls in their targets blood. Those are serial killer traits, hence why Angel said he seems more like a serial killer than an assassin.

Just as I was saying. Being a serial killer and assassin are completely different. You can't say you're more of a serial killer than an assassin. Serial killers only take some perverse mental gratification out of the act. That's the main reason they kill while assassins actually do it for payment, an organization, a goal etc. You can have the traits of a serial killer while doing a job that actually allows you to kill. Though his main fuel is not some mental OCD he needs to satisfy.

I'll tell you this right now. You earn my respect more by taking responsibility. Then trying to put the blame on others. All that comes off is like you're trying to defend some sense of honor;

No. The only person's fault for that sheet is your own. You failed to execute the humor. You failed to execute that it was a joke. And you failed to clearly communicate that with us. With that said, Neo is right. That sheet is not accepted. You really have two options right now. One is make a character with a serious intention of taking this RP with sincerity. Or get out. Because I do not want you wasting our time.

Considering the lack of comprehension you have shown. I seriously doubt this was a joke. I do not know you. I have never RP'd with you. So to me, this is the first impression I have of your quality.

Regardless of whether it's original or not, the answer is no. Why? Because one, magic is forgotten. You wouldn't be able to find a deck of 'magic cards', and even if you did, they would be fake. Nothing more than a parlor trick whoever sold it learned to scam a few bucks off of idiots.

And if you mean as his relic, refer to the myth in Famerin's sheet, the relics have to pertain to at least one of the 'heroes', and cards simply don't fit that.

Angel hasn't said a single thing to you about this without conferring with me first. I assure you, they could have been even more of a 'douche' as you say. I've agreed with every point of theirs, and telling a gm to 'be more accepting' isn't doing you any favors, we do not have to accept any character, and reserve the right to deny you for any reason we feel like. In this case, you were not seeming to comprehend the idea behind the roleplay, nor did you put any real effort into your first character concept.

I admit I may have been a bit harsh on Scarecrow. That's fine I'll take responsibility for it and apologize for maybe being too harsh. But that's the difference between me and you. You get to leave feeling good because you've convinced yourself it's other people and not you.

We're the GMs. I talk to Neo, just as she said, about everything before I post it. What we say is what we say. We will listen to anyone if they have good ideas. But we don't listen to anyone that expects us to think their ideas are good when they are not.

Here's a thought... we don't need a pirate captain character to get started. Just say that he was injured in the fight to take the imperial ship, and is confined to quarters for the time being. Xanatos can run the ship well enough in his absence till a player makes a good captain.

That way we don't have to settle for a second-rate captain character.

Snips

Name: Snips.

Age: 19

Height: 5'9

Weight: 187 lbs

Personality: Snips can be easily labeled as a risk taker, or thrill seeker when it comes to dangerous situations. To him danger is the fun part of his adventures. He is rarely seen without a grin and can be the crews source of entertainment when either boredom or low morale takes effect on his fellow shipmates. When faced with deaths ugly mug he simply cracks a joke and narrowly escapes its cold boney hands with a laugh. Even though he is a carefree man he always has time to help his crew mates and is very much concerned with their well beings. He proves this by putting his life on the line many times to insure his mates escape with their lives. No matter how injured he may get he will always feel relief and happiness knowing his crew mates survived to see another day.

History: Snips beginning in life was a rather rough one seeing as how he was born into a life of slavery. He never met his parents and was only able to learn of their unfortunate demise by their owners handmade nooses. He was put to work at the age of five since his current owners saw him to be more capable of a worker then other children. Through his childhood he suffered horrible abuse, both physical and mental and was neglected like the families least favorite mutt. As he grew up in such horrible conditions Snips somehow was able to at least crack a few jokes and smirk, though sometimes he would get punished by a few guards with at least a dozen lashes to the back. It seemed his owners didn't want their property to even show a hint of life. Amazingly though he never broke, or even shed a single tear. He found tears and a broken soul would only show that his owners had won.

Snips did his best to keep his fellow slaves in somewhat sane minds and would create small short songs for the children younger than him to sing when they felt hopeless. Of course he told them to sing them when the guards or owners weren't around so they could escape punishment. He would even give up his meals and split them evenly amongst everyone. In this hellish life of slavery Snips was the only source of sanity and hope for the others. That is until a crew of pirates came along and raided the estate. Snips had been locked away in the shed after he had received his punishment when the attack occurred and was force to listen to the sounds of chaos and death. After hours had past the fighting had vanished and Snips was able to break his way out of the shed. He was greeted with a completely destroyed estate and a slaughtered mess of bodies that belonged to guard, owner and slaves alike. With tears in his eyes he laughed with bitter happiness until the sun emerged from the night sky. He was free, but alone. Happiness and despair filled his heart so he let both out.

Years have past since his lonely liberation and was able to find a position aboard a ship of pirates. Though he was hesitant at first he knew he needed the coin, so took sail with his new crew. He has now served a full year aboard the ship and has come to feel this place to be his home and the crew his family.

Equipment: Cutlass sword, small dagger and two pistols with a pouch of ammo to his waist.

Strength: Strong willed, agile, tough, excellent swordsman and charismatic.

Weakness: Cocky, reckless, a bit of an air head and rum.

Other: Has many scars across his back from the lashes and has never told anyone but the captain about his past. People only know Snips as a young lad who joined the crew a year ago. Many have asked, but Snips would always change the topic with a joke or two.

Hope this is good enough, if not then just point out the flaws and I'll fix it right up.

Okay. So I'm not going to remind EVERYONE who makes a sheet, so anyone who does not have a relic of their own design, will be getting whatever randomness me and Angel can think up. This also goes for relics not having enough detail.

With that out of the way, I will be reviewing sheets this weekend en masse.

Do the relics have any particular powers other than their relic status? I gave Xanatos a sword that has served his family for generations that will turn out to be his relic.
