texarkana is a boarder city between Texas and Arkansas, right along the bible belt. For the longest time this city has been fairly small and easily forgotten, not holding a lot of interest for the supernatural community except for the couple that have a special tie to the area. There has been a big boom in economical growth as well as population in the past 10 years, and it has begun to make the native supernaturals restless, not only due to the growing number of people and a disruption to their routine, but because it has begun to be noticed on a grander scale. Songs and movies have begun to mention the city, the completion of another highway has made it a perfect hub between Little Rock, Dallas, Houston, and Shrievport.

The camarilla has decided to stake a claim in this mostly unclaimed land. Hunters keep a watchful eye on the waters to catch any new coming blasphemies, the local wildlife is enraged by the destruction of their ones peaceful home. Refugees from hurricane Katrina refuse to leave and begin building new webs of intrigue.

You, as young, and and sometime obscure, Cainites, this makes a perfect opportunity to get your fingers into one of the most powerful political structures in the vampire society. The new price has arrived without a political house, hoping to draw from the locals. You watch as the once abandoned Grim Motel slowly becomes a renovated peak of modern splendor. A motel, a convention hall, and most importantly the house of the new Elysium.

This should get you started while I continue working on it.

I'm interested, but I have never made a vampire character in this system before. I suppose I could pull up a website or something on how to make a CS.

We might try making one... Never played the tabletop variety (unfortunately), but been in a couple of Guild RPs with this universe.

Not entirely sure how to fill it out. Is this more or less correct?

EDIT:
For convenience, we moved the current sheet to below here:

Hmm all is fine except the merits and flaws. There should be a list of them online, you will need a name and point value for each. Or none at all. Since you don't have a history as to why you are in Texarkana, mind if I stick you in St. Alexander's?

And yes gar, that is fine

Appearance:

Brief history: Augustus Crow followed life wherever it took him, hoping from city to city. Until he ended up in Texarkana. While sitting in a seedy bar one thing led to another and a fight broke out. Well, Augus must of impressed the big guy with the fangs at the end of the bar because when he came too the next morning he was a Vampire. Now, This guy wasnt your average neck sucker, This was the Prince personal Scourge sitting at the bar and he had some work for his new found friend.

Found a list for the merits/flaws. used that now.

Here's a list of merits/flaws that we dug up. Might be useful to others.

Quick question. Those 20 freebee points. Are they for merits/flaws or for anything?

EDIT: We think maybe that requiring a certain balance of flaws vs. merits is wise. Just noticed that we ourselves used a bad balance there. (6 flaw points vs. 14 merit points).
Also, maybe open up for flaws not on the list? The other flaws on the list simply did not fit with our concept. We're generally overfond of flaws in our characters, but still ended up with an imbalance. There are some vague ideas we have for flaws in our character that do not match any on the list.

Its not a bad balance, flaws add to your freebies points but you can only take 6 points worth so your characters aren't Op

Ah. Good to know.

Could we have additional flaws, so long as we know we can't gain more than those 6 points worth of points to add to the freebies? Or is the limit on 6 points in flaws absolute?

Also, where exactly can we use the freebie points? are those 14 points stuck in merits part of the 20 (+6 from flaws)?

6 points? I thought it was 7 points that was the maximum in WoD games for additional points from Flaws.

Unless they changed it to 7 points for the anniversary edition of stuff, but I've been playing WoD games off and on for five or so years, and I don't remember it ever being 6 points.

You're correct it should be 7 points.

Freebies are spent on your stats after you've made your character, but each stat has a freebie point cost to increase said stat by one. Here is the chart in VTM anniversary edition:

Attribute - 5 per dot
Ability -2 per dot
Discipline - 7 per dot
Background - 1 per dot
Virtue - 2 per dot
Humanity - 2 per dot
Willpower - 1 per dot

Also you still have a slight misunderstanding of flaws, you have 20 freebie points. You can simply spend those based on the chart above, however if you want more you have to take on flaws. Instead of taking away freebie points in order to acquire flaws, you add to your freebie points based on the value of the flaw. The worse the flaw, the more points it is worth.

And yes that is a hard limit, you can have as many flaws as you want, as long as the total extra freebie points you gain is maximum 7.

A bit of browsing about revealed a source specifying 7 points, so we'd guess that to be accurate.

No idea what to stick in Humanity, though.

Revised sheet again, now that we've read up a bit more and learned more.

EDIT: just saw the freebeie point costs. Revising again.

Humanity is based off your virtues, as is willpower. You need to set virtues to determine those two stats.

Conscience
Self-Control
Courage

Each starts with 1 dot, and you can add 7 more dots of your choosing between them.

Humanity = Conscience + Self-Control
Willpower = Courage

That's how you get those two stats.

I should point out a few things about your CS:

1) You should probably describe your derangement with detail, right now your Malk just seems generally crazy (and borderline Fishmalk, not joking look it up it's a term in the VTM community) but we need to know how they are crazy. What makes them tick?
2) I think you should increase your humanity number, at 2 you are more or less an animal which wouldn't work with the initial start of the story (i.e. working for the prince, a vampire with humanity 2 would probably live outside society). I recommend 4 for your concept, inhuman but still relatively coherent.

Ok, revised the stuff and added the virtues.
Still not sure what to stick in humanity/willpower, though. Could one of you help with figuring that out, based on the virtue point distribution?

You noticed the reference to Fishmalk, did ya?

Will add the derangement description soon.
