Dominic Maltivan watched the kindred slowly enter the large business meeting room. The giant black marble table was big enough to fit 50 people, though there wouldn't be that many. The young woman sitting at the end of the room in a corner glared at everyone as they came in but remained silent. He had been warned that the local kindred and lupes had a truce, but he did not expect to have one show up to his first Elysium. He had enough to deal with without them, but he wasn't about to spark a war by refusing her.

The wall to wall window behind the host chair provided a good view over down town Texarkana and was mildly soothing, which was good, since his irritation only rose as more guests showed up.

A Samedi, a child, a wacko from the local asylum, a brute, and only a fraction of the locals he was told were here. This was going to be a bloody nightmare. It was like a child's adventure game in there. He sighed deeply, as the ghouled secretary buzzed that the last had arrived. Well jacked up help was better than none. And if they were true to the cause, he could herd them into greatness with the city.

Well the only way to go from here was forward, so on with it. As everyone, a total of about 15, arrived and either sat in the plush expensive business chairs or stood, Dominic opened the side door and stepped out, moving towards the host chair as he spoke. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and thank you for coming. This meeting has been called for many reasons, but most importantly, to announce the camarilla presence in the city... which is a reason I am a slight bit annoyed to have so few locals here." Despite an obvious effort, he couldn't help but let a bit of his anger show at that last bit. "But I am sure they have their reasons, and we will address that more later. The city of Texarkana is growing, and before it gets too much more attention, the camarilla must get a hold of the area. The elders have placed me as prince, but it will be up to me to establish the rest of the court. I am Dominic Maltivan of clan Ventrue. I am going to ask that each of you stand forward and state your name, clan, and purpose here. After that, I will tell you what needs to be done in the next few nights. I am not a general, I will not be demanding individuals to do anything this night. You are all adults...well most of you... and should know what what your strengths are and what you accomplish. I just want it done. Please leave all questions until the end" He sat like he had just run a mile and motioned to the group to begin.

Alodia had followed the so-called orderly out of her room. There was more to the orderly than met the eye, but so long as the blood kept flowing, Alodia saw no need to poke holes in the coverup. It wasn’t as if the orderly was her type. No, not her type at all. “Not worth it at all. No father, not worth it.” she murmured beneath her breath. She had a purpose here. Something to do with Fish... Slap the prince? “No. Not good idea. That brings us pain. Don’t want pain.” Even down here, far below the regular asylum, she could hear the delightful screams and howls of the residents. It was lovely. Enlightening. Made her think of home.

“Want to go home.” she murmured. “No. Not yet.” She answered herself. “We have a job to do. Everyone has a purpose.” Suddenly she looked straight up at the taller orderly leading the way, her eyes almost seeming to bore holes in the woman. “Even you.” These last words were chilly and ominous. Very different from the ones before.

Eventually they came to the vast room. There were others there. A few other kindred. Some she might have seen before. Some she had seen later. And some she might get to have known. And a little wolf near one of the walls. She liked wolves. Wolves hardly ever did anything wrong. Not like Moose. “Or was it the other way around?” she muttered again. It was so hard to keep track of things. Not even concentrating helped her get it all straight. Not that it mattered. Her task was good. Father approved.

Eventually a stranger entered. She recalled having heard him approach, but seen no reason to react to it. He had not been there, so he was irrelevant. Now he was here, and he was relevant. She tuned in to his words. He said something about “prince” and “Camarilla”. Government, father had said it was. He had sent her here to become part of the local government. It had not mattered that it had been two years ago. What is time to their kind? It had offered many delightful hours to study, to learn. “To feed…” she whispered.

When this ‘prince’ asked everyone to present themselves, Alodia decided to get it over with. “Welcome Alodia. We are Fish.” No, wait, she thought. That wasn’t right. “Welcome Alodia. Prince are Fish.” Again it felt wrong. Especially from his confused expression. “Welcome, prince. Alodia we are. Fish are Malkavian. We are purpose.” That sounded more or less right, she decided. Having said what needed saying, she drifted away, doing her best to fade from further notice, even as she continued eying the nice doggie by the wall.

The idea of going to this newly-forming Camarilla Elysium in Texarkana gave Reza Khan some mixed feelings. On the one hand, this was a very rare opportunity for him. Probably not one that he would get again. To be here at the very beginning of Camarilla control of an area? When they weren't wresting control back from the Sabbat? It was so peaceful, and it was definitely uncommon.

On the prominent other hand, the pressure was there to make a good impression on these Kindred. He wanted to be useful, and he knew he couldn't afford to make any mistakes. If he did, if he messed up and something happened to jeopardize the Camarilla control here, it would be all-too-easy for the new Prince to single the Assamites out as a scapegoat. That would be counter-productive to his goal, and so he would have to be very careful.

In his desire to make a good first impression, he sought to get to Elysium early. Of course, fate seemed to conspire against him on that front. He only just arrived as the Prince began to speak, sliding into the back of the room as subtly as possible to avoid sticking out.

Of course, he would probably stick out just by the nature of being what he was. His olive-toned skin was a sure sign of his clan, since Assamites weren't as pale as the other varieties of Kindred. And he'd only get darker from here. His mentor's skin was an unnatural shade of obsidian after his centuries of being undead, and Reza had that to look forward to for his own skin tone down the line. Not for about fifty years or so, he'd heard. That's supposedly when the steady darkening of an Assamite's skin began.

He was wearing all black tonight, as was typical for him. Black pants, a black shirt, a black belt, black fingerless gloves, and a black long coat that reached down to his calves. Hidden beneath his dark jacket was a curved blade, a scimitar. It was his weapon of choice, though no Assamite would walk around with only one weapon on their person. He had a few knives hidden under his coat as well, but none of these weapons were meant to shed the vitae of any Kindred in attendance. If asked to surrender his scimitar, seeing as it was the more obvious weapon, he would do so as a gesture of good faith. The weapon was well-concealed beneath the jacket, however, so long as Reza didn't move around too much.

The Prince asked for those few in attendance to introduce themselves, and the first one to do so was a woman. A very, very strange woman. Reza didn't have much experience with Malkavians, but he could tell that this girl was either off her rocker or was doing a very good job of pretending she was. He doubted it was the latter. It took a lot of gall to act in such a manner in front of a Prince by choice. She had to be doing this because she had no other choice in the matter.

He decided it would be best for him to introduce himself now instead of waiting until the others had spoken. While the Childer of Khayyin who actually belonged to the Camarilla had more of a right to name themselves at this gathering than he, there was still the fact that he was a guest. Here in his mentor's place, as well. The elder Assamite had no interest in playing the games of Camarilla politics.

"My name is Reza Khan," he introduced, raising his hand a moment to draw eyes to his dark form. When he raised his hand, it was clear that his gloves did not have fabric covering his palm, as well as his fingers. All the better to draw his own blood from his palms without ruining the gloves. "I am an Assamite. My purpose here is to assist you in any way I am able."

He had a light accent, which was obviously Middle Eastern in origin. That should come as no surprise, seeing as he was clearly from that part of the world. Most Assamites were.

To say that Gaius was intimidated by the crowd surrounding him was an understatement. He knew that at any given moment, any one of these people had the ability to over power, and rip Gaius' throat out. The thought made him shudder, propelling him to bring a small hand gun, tucked away into the back of his pants and hidden further by his jacket. The gun was a small model, it had to be for him to use it, and even so it felt unnaturally large against the small of his back. He wasn't a particularly good shot, but knowing that he had some way to defend himself made Gaius feel safer. He had only been embraced some ten odd years ago after all, and yet here he was, in front of an Camarillan appointed prince in the body of a ten year old.

Gaius had no doubt that he appeared out of place, and he himself agreed with that observation. He had not intended to show up initially, and was only convinced to by his mentor, who himself was absent. Gaius was told that this was a chance to make a name for himself, and that chances like that don't come by very often for kindred in his situation. Knowing this to be true, he begrudgingly made his way towards the Elysium. He wore clothes small enough to fit a ten year old: small tan pants, a plain red shirt, and a black jacket. It was the best he could do to not look like he had just stepped out from a play date. The night was dark, and Gaius disliked being out by himself. It was too easy for him to be taken down by whatever decided that he was it's prey.

After the prince had finished speaking, and Gaius had rolled his eyes at the mans quip on his presence, he watched as others began to do as Dominic had asked. Though he had read about the clans, Gaius only had any contact with other Assimites, so Gaius felt a tad excited to observe how the others acted. The first one to speak was a Malkavian woman who had introduced herself as Alodia. Gaius had read that the Malkovian were for the most part, well, insane. The woman confirmed this. Gaius felt uneasy watching her move and, though he would not admit it, frightened.

Next he watched a fellow Assimite introduce himself as Reza. The man was clearly from the middle east, and didn't seem to have any disturbing 'quirks'. Not any visible ones, at least. Gaius felt his stomach churn a bit before he himself stood and spoke up out of impulse. "My name is Gaius, and I too am an Assimite. My purpose-" Gaius paused. He truly was not sure what he was doing here. He looked around at the crowd, now staring at him before continuing. "My purpose is to become a part of something larger than myself." That shouldn't be too hard. Gaius mused to himself. Most things are larger than me. Gaius sat back down and slunk into his seat. The high pitched tone of his voice was irritating even to him. He felt guilty being there, like an annoying child pestering his parents for attention.

Augustas had his doubts about this city and it seemed he may of been right. The low population was nothing like the big cities he was use too and the crime rates are a fraction. Was it even worth driving all this way? Theres no battle to be won here, and theres no money to be made. But the old man said he had a gut feeling and he'd kick my ass if I didnt check it out.

Augustas pulls his Harley in front of elysium and shuts off the engine. As the 7' 8" man stands the bikes springs let out a creak. Wiping the road dirt from his leather jacket and jeans. Adjusting his sunglasses, Augustas heads inside.

Looking around the room Augustas eyes a few key people. If there was one thing the old man taught him, it was that everything is a threat. The kid could try and play at your heart, be cold. The chick with the nurse looks nuts, always unpredictable. The guy in the coat is packin a blade, take him out before he draws it. And then there was the prince, Augustus watches the guards, always a challenge.

Pulling out a chair Augustus sits, he leans back and puts his feet on the table, dirt flaking off onto the smooth surface. When the help give him dirty looks he just smiles a big fang filled grin at them. He listens to the introductions. First up is the nut job, obviously a Malk, those suckers always make me laugh. He chuckles at the prince being called a fish. Then came the Swordsman. Augustus mumbles. "Another run of the mill...... wait... Assamite." He grins as his muscles tighten. He has never fought an assamite before. Then came the child. Another assamite! This city just got a whole lot more interesting.

Finally his time had come. Clearing his throat he shouts "The names Augustas Crow of clan Bru jah! And Im here because you need me! Soon enough the Sabot WILL show up! And when they do.." He grins. "..Your gonna need an exterminator to deal with the pest problem!"

The very decorated voodoo priest stood, bowing extravagantly, as he stood back up, his obfuscate dropped, revealing the decomposition across his face, the trademark of his bloodline. It was surprising that he wasn't leaving flakes of himself behind. "Mah names Maman Moombi of the Samedi. As ah been heah sin my home flooded out, math purpose is ta continia what ah been doin. Ah got no more love for the Cam den day gots fer me, so ah'm hea ta establish dat ah have claim on chapelwood cemetery. Ya stay out mah names business, ah stay outs yours." He replaced his human disguise, sitting back down.

The others rise to introduce themselves, all coming from other cities. Some to establish deals between Texarkana and their homes, some followed the prince here. A tremere, two gangrel, another venture, two toreadors, a Ravnos here to visit family, and a brujah bodyguard.

For the past couple of minutes, Michael had been wondering exactly why he had bothered to come here. Very few other Camarilla felt it was even worth showing up so clearly something was up with this place. If the Dredge of the Camarilla didn't show up, then why was this place worth someone with such potential as himself? He supposed the one good thing was it would be incredibly easy to ascend the ranks with so few here, but where's the challenge in unlife? Not that anything was challenging but he at least wanted to feel like he tried in order to do well. Still he should be grateful it would be so easy to be powerful here, however boring, easy and mundane the path to power was. Impatiently he listened one by one to each introduction, it was nice to get to know the competition although with a crowd this small he wouldn't need to. He had been casually leaning back in his chair tapping his fingers as he tried to figure out the characters of everyone in the room.

First came the Prince (whose names he can never bother to remember), a Ventrue way in over his head. Surprise surprise the Ventrue was a SUB (i.e. Stuck Up Bastard/Bitch) albeit one who couldn't control his temper or present himself properly. Clearly the Camarilla didn't think much of him sending him here (and with this turn out, neither did the locals), when he got in that chair of his he would make this place soooo much better.

Fish

Then came his sister Alodia (depressing, a stereotypical malkavian) the Little Fish, he could feel the madness radiating off of her to the point where snippets of her thoughts floated into his mind through the Cobweb (conventionally known as the Madness Network). He was slightly caught off guard as the word 'Fish' echoed intermittently in his mind, it was unusual for the Cobweb to even touch his mind but clearly she had to be something special to elicit a reaction. His problem with her wasn't so much competition but the fact she was killing the calm, mysterious but awesome vibe of his mind with her thoughts. If only Vampires could be lobotomised.

Next came Reza aka the Emo Warrior (Black really doesn't suit him, we're depressing enough as it is, don't add to it), an Assamite who seemed to actually be smart enough to be (or at least present himself as) loyal to the Prince, if only to save his own skin. Assamites aren't exactly welcome (soul drinking aka diablerie is the ultimate sin for some reason, despite the fact vampires spend their lives getting power), Michael knew that he wasn't exactly much of a threat for now but once he gained the trust he could become a problem. Here's hoping he fucks up.

Fish

Then came another assamite, he could barely even stop himself cracking up as Gaius the Kid Killer spoke up. His size and hesitation during his speech (the irony, oh my you can be a part of me if you want) weren't doing him any favours with the crowd, maybe he gets extra points for boyish cuteness? He didn't seem like much of a problem, maybe he could be the Robin to his Batman.

And finally was Augustus the Bigass Backwards Brute (here there after known as BBB), who bites firsts and asks questions later. His shouting made him stand out as the most childish vamp in the room, despite the presence of Kid Killer, and his speech contained nothing of substance. He had a feeling it would be easy to manipulate him, he would make a good pet. Wonder if he'd be more like a dog or cat? Probably a Lion.

Oh and there was that unimportant barely noticeable Hot Hound who didn't even count as competition (being able to rip something in half doesn't make a Werewolf important), if Michael was still human he'd tap that tight ass. She should probably work on her sexy look through, it makes her look kinda off puttingly horny.

Fish

After the less interesting introductions were gotten out of the way he got up and said, ''My Name is Michael Anderson,'' he looked Alodia in the eye ''I'm a Carrier, Little Fish'' and then turned to the rest of the crowd, ''A Malkavian to the rest of you, and my purpose here is simply to help our new Prince establish this location as a Camarilla city,''. He paused for a moment choosing his next words carefully, he wanted the crowd to know exactly why he was so amazing, ''And as a final word, if you expect me to go crazy and entertain you, let me be the first to say you are mistaken. I recommend you take me seriously,''. He sat back down in a controlled fashion, trying emphasise how he was under control unlike every other Malk he had ever met. Not his best work, he was under pressure had no time to really prepare but it would do for first impressions (as well as the fact the SUB was giving me evils the whole time, he really needs to work on presentation).

Fish

Now to see how long he could last sitting in this room before he was bored to death by the SUB inevitable long political piece or the Little Fish managed to drive him insane with the constant attempts to indoctrinate his mind with Fish. Maybe she was intentionally trying to drive him mad? It did actually sound like quite a Malk thing to do despite how....

Dominic sighed again, almost steadily holding an "I am in hell" look. As the second malk finished, he nodded. "Right. On to business. The locals in this town have held a long term truce with the local Werewolf pack." He motioned to the woman in the corner. "This is Thaina. Their go between with us. She is here to ensure that truce stays. And I say it does. I also say that I will not jeopardize that with ignorant or arrogant fledglings." He turned his head to the woman. "You have my permission to execute any of my kind you find in your domain without permission. But that will be returned in kind." Turning back to the group. "They own the lands surrounding the city, and the donut cafe. You have been warned." Satisfied, Thaina leaves without a word. "Now, there are a couple matters to attend to then you can go. Firstly I want to know who the other locals in town are and why they didn't come. Secondly, I want to know what other local supernaturals we have. I don't want to make too many waves at once. If we have to deal with issues, it should be on our terms. If we can all be adults about this, I shouldn't need to make a feeding roster for everyone. Now, unless anyone has any questions, you are free to discuss what needs to be done. I am looking for officers, and I need to see what you can do." He stood to leave, but waited to see if anyone had any questions.

Reza remained still and silent while the rest of the Kindred in the room introduced themselves and stated which clan they belonged to. It surprised him to hear that there was another Assamite in attendance tonight. A child in appearance, though Reza knew not to trust such appearances. What he trusted more was the shade of his clansman's skin. It was still light, and so the child was young. Like him.

It was pretty obvious that the child was not from the ancestral home of the Assamites, however. While it wasn't particularly rare for an Assamite to be sired outside of the Middle East, the vast majority of the clan were from that part of the world. The fact that this child wasn't made Reza suspect that perhaps his Embrace had not been sanctioned by the clan. Were they even aware of his existence? It didn't really matter to Reza either way. He wasn't going to stab the child in his very small back. Murder wasn't something that he condoned. Not without very good reason. And besides, the child wished to join the Camarilla. That meant they were of a like cause, more or less. He wouldn't complain about that.

The Brujah that had introduced himself as Augustas spoke up in his loud voice, pulling the Assamite from his thoughts. Reza thought the Brujah had a point, really. It made him uncomfortable to think that werewolves might be inside the city limits, apart from the aforementioned cafe. While he had no personal experience with lupines, he knew enough not to mess with them. His sire had told him to avoid them if he valued his life. Reza did indeed value that life, and so he wasn't going to go searching through the city for ones not keeping to their agreed-upon boundaries.

He glanced over at the werewolf ambassador, giving her a small nod of acknowledgment before heading toward the child Assamite. The seat beside the child was open, and he subtly shifted his scimitar so he could take that open seat.

"Hello," he greeted the child quietly, trying not to be a disturbance to the other Kindred who might be asking the Prince further questions. "Gaius, was it?" He didn't hold out a hand to initiate a handshake. It was instinct on his part to avoid physical contact with other Assamites, and usually other Kindred didn't want to have an Assamite touch them, either.

He gave the small Assamite a smile, trying to put him at ease. It had to be intimidating, being so small when in the presence of larger Kindred. Especially that Brujah. That man was positively massive.

"Are there any others of our clan in the city?" he inquired. He wanted to know if Gaius was here alone or not. If he was on his own, then Reza saw little reason not to have him come and meet his mentor. It was best for Assamites to stick together, after all. Safer. He wanted to offer this child that security.

Alodia chuckled softly when the other Malkavian claimed to be sane. She knew better. Much, much better. But she did not say anything about it. Why bother? If he wanted to trick himself, then let him. He would only fall further when he did. She could hear all his little secrets. “Doggie here, doggie not here.” She murmured, just loud enough for others to hear when the werewolf left. She did not bother giving the Assamites any attention. They weren't fish. It was obvious the prince had plans, but there were so many more interesting things flowing through the network. Rumors. Fish. Even a little cheese. Alodia longed to find a real meal. A meal without plastic packaging. “Alive and wriggling. Like a fish.”

It would be interesting to see how successful this new prince was. The network was certainly interested in learning. As was Father. “odd.” She whispered again. Father rarely took interest in anything other than science. Him and his coils. “Good reading lamps, coils are.” 'Ugh. Reading', she thought. She hated it. Loved it. “In the name of Fish, the city shall be cleansed.” She said, more loudly. Not sure why. It seemed like a good idea. Perhaps it came from the network? Sometimes it was hard to tell. 'Did I decide that?' She asked herself, not really expecting an answer.

“Walrus.” she muttered when one of the other kindred looked oddly at her, shrugging innocently. As if that would explain it all. Something which, in her mind, it did. Then she suddenly looked straight at the prince, strangely focused again. “We fish you, Prince. Like will be done. Others will mammoth, willing or wolf.” It felt like something was off about her words, but it was hard to say what. The moose of it had gotten through, she thought. “Interesting creatures, moose. Not as vital as Fish, though.”

When the prince finally stopped speaking, Gaius was reluctant to speak to the others. It wasn't that he feared them, he doubted any one would try anything in the open, but they could laugh him off. Rather than be shrugged off, Gaius opted to sit back and observe the others. The Brujah had asked question regarding the werewolves, and was answered by the witch doctor in the room. Gaius wondered if everything the man said was drenched in testasterone. Lupine were in deed terrifying to think about, but he doubted that they would start anything unless provoked. If someone would provoke them, Gaius would make sure to not be in their line of sight when it happened. He shrugged it off, and continued watch the others. He wondered if he would be able to contribute anything. Or rather, he knew he could, but would anyone take him seriously enough to listen? He cursed Francis for persuading him into coming.

Gaius did his best to avoid the gaze of the most dangerous seeming of the group, particularly the female Malkovian and the Bruja. The Bruja seemed like he was would fight anything if he were given a reason to, and the Malkovian made him feel uneasy. Insanity was unpredictable, and that was something Gaius would rather not deal with. There really wasn't anybody Gaius was particularly excited about speaking to.

When Gaius saw the other Assimite in the room approach him, he panicked a bit in his mind. Why is he coming over here? Gaius had not formally introduced himself to the other Assimites in town, so he figured it was most likely on that matter. Had I done something wrong? Was there some sort of club house I forgot to sign up for? Gaius watched passively as the man got closer. When the man finally arrived and spoke, Gaius answered his question with a mute smile and a nod. He seemed friendly enough. Gaius wondered if he had managed to meet a potential ally this early in the group. "Are there any others of our clan in the city?" Gaius knew that the presence of Assamites was underdeveloped in Caramilla territory, but he figured that they would at least be familiar with each other. Or maybe there was some sort of pretext for Reza approaching him. If there was one, Gaius could not figure out what it could possibly be.

"Yes." He answered finally. "I have a mentor I share an apartment with in the city." Gaius could find no indication of dishonesty in the question. Since the man was already here, Gaius figured he should do his best to make nice. "The prince spoke of other supernaturals in the city. Apart from those who attended the meeting today, do you know of any?" He was genuinely curious, but mostly wanted continue the conversation.

Michael's mind had mostly been tuning out the pointless chatter of the other kindred (although he did catch the SUB's instructions) in an attempt to block out Little Fish's mental intrusions. It had mostly worked and now that his mind was his own again he felt at his best again. He wondered just how the hell other Malkavians endured the constant lack of mental privacy, no wonder they were all insane.

While he didn't exactly acknowledge the presence of a God, he quietly thanked him for the fact that he was embraced into the rare bloodline of Sane Malkavians.

Or at least he was sane.

He had yet to meet a sane Malk, even one of his own bloodline. As far as he could tell, his bloodline were definitely the saner Malks but the ones he had met were functionally insane rather than outright crazy. Everyone else told him every Malkavian was insane no matter what and while his observations of other Malks had confirmed this, Michael honestly had yet to think of a way he was insane.

At the mention of a Malk owning the Estis Diner, he decided he may as well go there seeing as other than the Little Fish no one would be able to tolerate Alex (he needed a better name for him, Alex was so normal). Without saying a word he got up and made his way towards the door, he had almost made it out of the boardroom when it occurred to him that this would probably be the only mission Little Fish could accomplish without fucking it up. He also felt a miniscule amount of kinship with her, they were from the same clan despite the difference in bloodline and she could probably learn a thing or two from the unliving legend he was.

He turned around and after taking a breath (trying to keep his face straight from smelling an overwhelming amount of dead fish, why hadn't he learnt Telepathy?) said, ''Look Little Fish, I'm going to see Alex over at the Estis Diner and I feel like I should probably look after you,'' he looked at the SUB whose face confirmed how sorry he was feeling for himself right now (he really shouldn't be the Prince of this city, at this rate he'll probably commit Suicide by Sun or something) after Little Fish's onslaught, ''Just in case anything happens, besides we may as well go see our blood brother together, you gonna come with me?''. Remembering the BBB's request, he turned to him and said, ''If you want to go brawl some wolves or something you can come as well,''.

He expected them to say yes, who wouldn't say yes? He was practically irrefusable.

Satisfied that the was nothing they needed at the moment, Dominic reached into his pocket and pulled out a stack of business cards. Tossing them on the table, "keep in touch", he walks back out the door he came in, going back to watching them through the window. This was turning out to be a nightmare, but perhaps he could make it work. The lupine had not been here simply to ensure the safety of their treaty, but he could not divulge the rest to them yet. "Come on sire, give me a challenge" he had said to the elders. Him and his big mouth. He knew of at least one other supernatural, though he wish he didn't, and of Alex. The diner was well known to him, and should become so to the others. It was a rare thing for a truce of so many creatures to hold in one place for more than an hour let alone over a generation. How had Alex done it? He had seen Alex's aura, he wasn't that old. Surely not old enough to hold and enforce peace among such savages. It made no sense! Perhaps it was good there were two new malks. Send a malk to figure out a malk. At lest the man could play interpreter.

Alodia huffed loudly. "How about no? We do not need watching over. We are going to find something to eat." For her these words were unusually lucid, but the combination of her being both grumpy and irritated always brought out the worst in her. She would not follow this weakling. "Too bad father isn't here." She knew he could've taught leech a thing or five. Not as much as grandfather, but no one had seen him in years. "Favor yourself. Seek out Ankou. Fish you, he can." At the end of the sentence, she sent a bit of extra mental strength into it, and the cobweb shuddered in return. Not even a weakling like he could resist the full force of the cobweb. Everything would beaver.

Having said hers, Alodia started to get up. She could still feel the reverberations through the cobweb. Thoughts pushed at her head. Some curious, others fearful. Father had told her of Ankou. All eventually knew of Ankou. It the terror of the nights. The patron saints of serial killers. A thoroughly interesting fellow. Deadly, but interesting. When she got to the door, she turned about and looked straight into the eyes of the brujah. "Coming? Or will you sheep this fishsucker?"

Reza was glad to hear that this child Assamite was not living alone. He imagined it would be difficult for one such as Gaius to do that. Landlords didn't tend to rent apartments to small children. If the child had been on his own, he probably would have been living in an abandoned building or somewhere equally unpleasant. In which case, Reza would have definitely extended the offer for him to stay closer to him and his own mentor.

"I would like to meet this mentor of yours sometime," he stated, "but not tonight. We should focus on what the Prince has asked of us."

In response to the question about other supernaturals that Reza knew of, the Persian Assamite shook his head. "I have no idea," he elaborated. "I only just arrived in the city a few nights ago. It seems like we'll have to put in a bit of legwork on this, but the diner the Samedi mentioned would be a good place to start looking." He glanced over at the Malkavians and Brujah, then added, "I think that's where some of them are planning to go, too. We should get to know them."

By that, of course, he meant that they should find out how big of a threat they might be. Reza didn't want to cause trouble, but he also wanted to make sure he was ready for trouble if it started. He needed to know more about these Childer of Khayyin, and spending time with them was the quickest way to do it.

Overhearing Reza speak Augustas laughs. Hes been in the city one night and the locals already fear him, as they should.
Augustas kicks off the stone surface and stands, the chair falls to the floor and the table screeches and slides a few inches. He walks over to the group. "I usually don't like working with others. But im not passing on a chance to see if the stories of Assamite combat skills are true." He smiles at he two. "And Ive got no better leads as of right now. So...... what the hell. Im in!"

Gaius felt a wave of contempt for the Brujah wash over him as soon as the man kicked down the table and walk over. What had that table done to him? Was he so drowned in his own masculinity that he has an insatiable thirst for breaking things? Gaius held back a sigh when he heard the man announce that he would join the two of them. He would make sure to hold in any unpleasantries for until he was safely out of range from the giant man's ears. "But I'm not passing on a chance to see if the stories of Assamite combat skills are true." The man said. He smiled, and Gaius smiled back. No point in being rude after all. Something told him that the Brujah would not have any trouble breaking a small boy in half with the flick of his wrist.

"Hope you can keep up." Gauis replied sarcastically. He was not in any great rush to get to know the others, as Reza had advised, but figured that he would need to if he wanted to advance at all. He doubted that he would be able to be of any use in combat, so he would need all the help he could get in that category. The Brujah, and Reza with his not-too-well-hidden sword could be of use. He would prove himself later, in his own way. He turned back to Reza. "If you think we should head to the diner, then let's go now. No point in burning any more time here. Gaius turned and began heading for the diner on his own. He didn't bother checking if any one was following, but he hoped that they were. Despite his false confidence, the unknown night time creatures lurking outside still frightened him. He had looked over a map of the city before, and remembered where the diner was. If they found nothing of interest there, he planned to go back to his haven and ask Francis for any information he may have. If he still had nothing to go on, Gaius would spend the day reading up on any urban legends within in his vast collection of books. Hell, he would probably end up doing that regardless.

The insult of the Fish stung hard as she evoked the Ankou. The others wouldn't understand what she had just said but he knew exactly what he meant, it was as if Satan himself had been called into the room. His eyes narrowed as he thought, the Ankou, the craziest and most deranged Malk he had ever had the pleasure of knowing existed, save Malkav himself. He was Death himself, the Ankou, the living personification of all that was unholy, dark and evil about the Malkavian Psyche. How could she say that? Even he wouldn't go that far.

He slowly turned to face her, now as the door, ''Do not speak that unholy name in my presence,'' he coldly replied, his voice wavering as he barely kept his anger in check. He was prepared to give her a long speech about the implications of what she had said to him before something even more insulting caught his attention.

''WHAT!!!'' cried Michael as he caught the words Kid Killer, snapping round and facing him.

Before he could say anything, the Kid left and as if possessed he bolted after him, he pushed is way past the Fish and stormed out of the room. When he found himself back on the street and caught up with the Kid he blocked his path glaring down angrily at him. In a perfect world and out of public, he probably would have punched the Kid in the face, but here, words would have to do expressing his anger.

''Don't you even think about going to the Diner. First you take my Brujah, don't you dare take my mission,''. His day had gone from spectacular to horrible in the space of a few hours, first he has to deal with that stupid Fish's mind chatter, then he has a fucking Brute as well as that bitch reject him in front of everyone and now the Kid was trying to prove himself better than HIM by trying to steal his mission. Nuh Uh.

''DON'T. FUCK. WITH ME,'' he growled, his voice taking on bestial tones as eyes like daggers, bore into the Kid's head.

Michael didn't even bother to wait for his answer, Michael went in the opposite direction of the Kid and he called himself a Taxi and after screaming at the Driver to take him to the Estis Diner, he sat down in the Cab and mulled over what had just happened. For once he couldn't really pick himself up, and tired of trying to mentally big himself up thoughtlessly stared outside the Cab window as he waited to arrive.
