Jack nodded and stood. "Is there anyone here on Earth that you know?" he asked, following his father.

"I've had a few human companions in the past." he said as he walked out of the resutraunt, onto the sidewalk and pointing out more buildings while still having a onversation.

"Are any of them still around, you know, your companions? If so, can we go see them?" Jack asked, walking next to his father

The Doctor cringed at that. "No, that can't happen. They're either dead or not traveling with me anymore." he said, a tint of sadness in his voice when he remebered some of his dead companions. "But anyways, this is London! All this cool stuff! Any questions?" he asked.

"Yeah.." Jack said, smiling. "Why don't you look for another companion? It would be fun to travel with another person." Jack said. He was really curious about the whole companion thing.

"Well," he said, then shrugged. "I'm not relly in the need for a companion, now since you've been traveling with me." he said. "I normally have companions because traveling alone... hasn't always been a good option in the past."

Jack smiled. "Oh. Well, does that make me your companion, kind of?" he asked, looking up at his father.

The Doctor thought for a moment. "I guess it does." he said after a moment. "But you're different from other companions, you're Timelord, instead of Human, and you're also my son! The others aren't related to me in any way, shape, or form, only Humans that I happen to meet and take along with me." he explained as they walked.

Jack stayed silent for a moment as they walked. "What about mom?" he asked quietly. "I never met her... What was she like?"

"You're mother passed away not long before you were born. She was a nice woman, a Timelord, named Adelia. She would often suggest that we take you along with us in our advetures, instead of keeping you stuck up in a special nursery we made for you in a special TARDIS room, but we never did. She had blond hair and blue eyes." he said as he rembered. "But she's gone now, and that's the past." he walked ahead. "Anyways, where do you want to go now? There's still a lot more to Earth, I'll let you pick the next place and time." he said, beginning to turn around back towards the TARDIS.

Jack thought for a minute. "Where's your next favorite place? I don't know anything about this planet, so mqybe you can just show me around..."

"Well, my favorite place is probably been England. Considering that most of my companions hav been British, it feels like tradition." he said as he walked. "And yes, I'll be showing you all around, you'll love it!" he said as he finished their tour. "Well, we've just about seen all that London has to offer, and it's getting dark, maybe the next place could be New York..." he said as he scratched his chin, thinking, and turned around and walking back towards the TARDIS.

Jack followed him. "What's New York? And where is it? Is it near here?" he asked like a curious child.

"It's pretty near much near here, it's over on a place of Earth called the United States of America, part of North America." he said, ranmblind on, then realizing and chuckling. "I'll give you a full geography lesson later, but for now, let's just go." he said as he appraoched the TARDIS, unlocking it and opening it.

Jack smiled and went inside. "Why is it called New York.. Was there an Old York?... Or is it just a snazzy name? Ooh! Do they have good food there? What are the people like? Have you had any companions from there?" he suddenly stopped and bit his lip. "Sorry.. Too many questions, I know..." he looked down at the ground, smiling shyly.

"No, it's alright, I was just as curious when I first found Earth and explored the universe." he said, thinking about all the questions that Jack had asked. "let's see... because of certain changes in control, no it was named after a Duke, yes, can be rude but also very amazing, and once I did." he said, answering all the questions and stepping into the TARDIS, pulling Jack in, too. He walked up to the control panel and began pushing buttons.

Jack smiled. "Wow, you sure know alot about this planet..." he said, watching him.

"Yeah, I've quite studied up on it, from books and from experience." he said as he recalled his adventures here. He flipped a switch and the TARDIS shook violelently, launching up and flying towards New York. It landed perfctly in an alleyway in New York City, and he chuckled and opened the doors. "Yeah, this is New York City." he said as he stepped out and walking onto the sidewalk.

Jack peeked out and smiled. "Woah! This is neat!" he laughed, hopping out and standing next to his father.

"Quite." he said, then lit up and snapped his fingers. He ran back into the TARDIS and pushed a few buttons, dragging Jack back insid, and leaving the door to the TARDIS open. He made it so it was in 'fly' mode, instead of 'travel' mode, and he flew it above New York City, where he would be able to peek his head out of the entrance to the TARDIS and get a view all over New York City during the night, with all it's darkness and it's bright lights. "Come look." he said, gesturing for Jack to look out.
