He waived for his diplomatic advisor to come close. "Listen, you send the message to the Espacio De Vida nation, tell them we accept, and ask the UEAS if they would like to have the treaty of the harbor, we won't attack him if he doesn't attack us". The Diplomatic advisor nodded and ran out of the room into the letter area.

Lopez crunched down on a meal prepared by his staff of chefs, made from rice and the new fish shipped from the NUJ. "This is just perfect! We have a friend now, one with a nuclear arsenal. And some nice fish, I must say." His economic advisor nodded in agreement. "Much better than what we produce." Lopez finished the meal and wiped his mouth. "How much surplus do we have right now?" His advisor rubbed his chin thoughtfully before speaking. "A fair bit, I don't have the exact number on hand, but it's more than enough to start growing." Lopez grinned. "Do you think we would be able to start an entertainment company? Produce films to boost our image, make the populace happy?" The advisor simply nodded and smiled. "I like this idea. Might even boost our income slightly!" Lopez stood up and grinned. "Then make it so!"

Washington D.C, UEAS Capital
Rising steel towers dotted the Washington skyline, the first skyscrapers in the city. One in particular reached higher than any others, planned to be taller than even the Empire State Building. No longer was the world fighting through military force, they were now fighting through prestige. Anything that made america look stronger would gain them more power, influence over other nations. Ironically, the man everyone saw as orchestrating all this hated it. Unfortunately for him, it was absolutely necessary to achieve his goals.

Elsewhere in the UEAS, there were other such cities undergoing urbanization and industrialization. Fueled by lignite, coal, and oil from Germany and North America, the UEAS industry was flourishing. With uranium, more nuclear bombs were being constructed constantly at specialized plants. The Army had also requested the development of a missile similar to the V-2s already in use, but with enough range to reach another continent from the mainland. When combined with nuclear payloads, these would be the ultimate intimidation device.

"When your men set foot on the Lunar surface, they will be met with the sight of our flag and the footprints of our people! You will never beat us to the Moon, no matter how hard you try!"

Robert's office was well furnished, as was the office of any CEO of a major corporation. He sat in a nice comfy black office chair, with a set of big glass windows at his back, the walls of the office were made of a nice solid wood, and so was his desk. Robert himself was a tall man, with black hair, wearing a business suit typical of his job. He heard a knock at his office door, and told whoever it was to come in.

In stepped through Rocket Scientist Gordon Freeman, the man stood tall and had glasses. His beard and hair were quite short, and he had come to Robert to ask some questions regarding the future of Lance Corp.

"I do have some fears regarding the future of this program Robert, your brother Fergus is very much a socialist, and I do not think he approves so far of Lance Corp being what it is and seeking to profit from space, he might attempt to nationalize us, what is your opinion on this subject Robert?" asked Gordon.

"I do not think Fergus will attempt to nationalize us anytime soon, he still has likes and respects me enough that he wouldn't tear down all of my work that I have put into this company. I would be careful however, he pretty much has the total support of the people, and congress. I imagine he will be itching for a excuse to nationalize the company." replied Robert

"Alright, also I did not receive the construction orders, do you know them off the top of your head?" asked Gordon again

"Yes, I ordered the construction of a launch pad as well as 2 solid rocket boosters, then a liquid fuel engine and tank." said Robert.

"Thank you then Robert, if you don't mind I need to go advise construction." replied Gordon.

The anthem finished and King George smiled warmly. Two world wars, a depression and oppression, and the Empire still lived on, better than ever if one asked him and indeed, the people. The general elections had come and gone and the votes had been counted. It would have been sooner, but there had been delays... Clement Atlee took the paper and opened it, reading it aloud "The first election of the United Empire has chosen a new Imperial Prime Minister." The crowd fell silent, who would it be? Anyone could be in power, who had won the campaigns? There had been so many, so much talking and debate. "The majority party is the conservative party, placing Sir Winston Churchill as imperial prime minister!" A shock victory! It was thought the countries apart from the British would not have supported the conservatives, but the opposition had under estimated the conservatives. Not only had Winston Churchill still got considerable support for his part in the war, particularly in the predominantly non-white nations of the UE who were well aware of what their fate would have been under the Nazi's, but he had asserted many policies that he thought would fix the damaged economy of the Empire. The war had ended five years ago, and the UE was keen to build its economy back up and turn its self into an industrial powerhouse, a shining beacon for the world. This would require heavy investment, of course, and would by no means be a simple click if the fingers... But it was a start. George stood from his seat, ready to appoint the new prime minister to power

First actions of the Prime Minister

The new prime minister has congratulated the UEAS President on taking a hard line with the Nazi's, stating "We would fight them on the beaches, we would fight them in the street, but we would never surrender to arms. We thought the same of our allies, and today you have proven it." however, he proceeded to comment of the UEAS occupation of Germany, and how it was ironic that the UEAS rejected facism yet treated Germany in a way one could say was oppressive. A bill has been drawn up for the UE parliament proposing the first of Churchills economic policies, it is currently being heard

UESP

Churchill space center had been named without the express consent of Churchill or even the government, Timish had wanted to use a name that was inspiring, and who better than the famous war leader? Now he had been elected, his space program had garnered some fame by association. After recent UEAS successes, public interest was piqued a little, and Timish noted there was a small increase in the calls for higher funding for the UESP... If he could make his own success, then maybe he would receive more funding

And so it was, with the parts his program had, that he would launch the first UESP mission.

They began to build a rocket propulsion laboratory, and began to assemble the first rocket: Imperial One . It's details are currently being kept secret to the public. Timish himself is secretly hoping that NASA will make its findings public, saving him the trouble of having to send a probe up to acquire the data himself now that someone else has beat him to the punch

Progress on the Ryujin Project

The Nuj have announced that they have a total of 7 parts for the Ryujin Mark I. Zwitter has stated that in the past 9 months he has created the Solid Rocket Booster, The Liquid Fuel Tank, The Tracking Transmitter, and lastly the Relayed Processor. With these and the parts he formed last year he thinks he is well on the way to the moon. This means that maybe the NUJ will make it to the moon even quicker then 67. If this happens, we can start focusing on colonising the moon.




New Allies get fish and guns

The Mighty NUJ have just allied Espacio De Vida. Josef has stated that this alliance will not only help boost its hold around the world but it will also help make sure that America will not attack. Espacio De Vida has also signed the Aso-North American Treaty which says all countries that sign will not go to war with each other for a total of 10 years. The trades that they NUJ have agreed to state that if we supply them Fish, and guns they will give us Raw goods.

The Evil empire of the UESA have not agreed to join the Aso-North American treaty stating that they will not promise anything to a tiny, worthless, and useless country like us. They have stated that if we ever even attempt to defend ourselves from invaders that they will destroy us. Josef has stated that even with this, the Espacio De Vida will make sure the UESA never tries to take our land as they did to Germany.

Lance Corporation
The Lance Corporation has begun construction on a directional antenna and announces plans for a mission later this year. Construction on a additional 4 SRBs has begun, and several pieces of payload equipment have been commissioned which includes thermometer, barometer, radiometer, Spectrophotometers, camera, and tracking transmitter.

Name:Spearhead 1
Details:Spearhead 1 will incorporate the payload equipment that has been produces. 3 SRBs will be used to launch, the rocket will take data from all devices every 1000 miles, and beep it back to the directional antenna. Its main goal is to escape atmosphere and take pictures of the moon.

The Federation of European Powers (FEP) - France - Paris - Emperor Napoleon VI's Office

Napoleon sat at his desk, his eyes flickering to papers in front of him. There was a knock at the door.
"Entrer" The emperor called in his native tongue, his eyes not looking up from the papers as the subordinate entered the room, holding a letter with the crest of Espacio De Vida. An odd sight to be seen in the Emperors office as not much had been said between the two countries in a long time.
Napoleon slid the letter from the envelope and slowly began to read through the page, it was filled with the usual filler until it got to the matter at hand. The emperor looked puzzled for a moment.
"This came from Espacio De Vida ?" The Proud leader asked the subordinate who only nodded and muttered "Oui...oui"
Napoleon felt the letter was very peculiar, it is not like he hadn't seen a non-aggressive pact before but the wording of this one was what confused Napoleon. The treaty only had that De Vida would not declare war on the The Federation of European Powers and did not say that the FEP would do the same for Espacio De Vida.
Napoleon felt it odd that he would be given such a thing to sign, as it seemed that it was one sided.
The emperor grabbed a pen and some paper and soon began writing his reply.

I do not need to sign a letter ensuring that you will not attack me, I am happy that you have decided to not do so, but I feel that a formal treaty is not needed for a simple statement.

Later that week a second letter came into the emperors office, this one had the seal of the United Soviet States of Great Russian Republic.
Inside was the details of a non-aggressive pact lasting five years from date of signing, it also detailed a so called, 'World Alliance'.
Napoleon wrote back to the USSGRR.

A final letter came into Napoleons office, the crest was that of the Nazi Union of Japan. Before Napoleon opened it, he requested a meeting with his Advisors
Officials from Spain, Italy and all other parts of The Federation of European Powers met up and began to discuss the letter. Eventually the majority vote saw that a non-aggressive pact would work in the favour of the Federation. Despite the past that was shared between the two countries, war was not on the agenda of the FEP
A letter was soon sent.
