Hold on hold on...the idea was for us to at least spend some time searching for a crew. As in, a strong group of people, small or not, that can take on the grand line. (A dangerous place even for seasoned pirates with as much reward as risk involved.) Not a rag-tag group of bar thugs. ^^;; So could we keep it to just that one person from his old crew for now? And maybe also inform me about what role he used to serve on his old crew? Also, could you not skip ahead that far just yet... There's a certain person in that bar Ceres has to deal with first. (The guy who captured her.)

I was thinking the rag-tag crew could help find a boat, and then they turn out to be kinda shitty, and they could wind up dead or too drunk to stand up, or whatever. it's a temporary measure, one that Octavius will quickly find to be a bad idea.
as for buddy, he has neither a name, nor a position XD my imagination hasn't gotten that far.

Then let me make one up for you. He was...erm...the ship's doctor! Whom even without state of the art medical equipment the government has, has incredible analysing capabilities and used to be a very good doctor for the ship.

he hasn't asked because she wasn't very nice about breaking him out, and she seems really focused on her own boat. plus women on boats is bad...

So ah...you do remember that the idea was that they would -both- be strong enough to wipe out a dozen marines or so with ease right? ^^;; I mean, why is he being so sneaky when just forcing their way through would probably be 10 times faster, and probably easier too. :P

because pirates are sneaky? if he just straight up starts murdering people, he might get some street cred, but whose going to be left to steal from? plus by boatload I was sorta thinking platoon-sized group, so minimum thirty, probably closer to 40 guys. that one was my bad, I own that. sorry. beyond that, I was thinking sneaky pirate rather than violently psychotic pirate more interested in murder than plunder... *shrugs* Ceres can do whatever, now, since Octavius owes her. if she wants to fight off a couple dozen marines, he doesn't have much choice but to help, gotta pay that debt

Not saying he needs to be psychotic, or that people need to be murdered. Heck, turn into a giant wolf and run there, knocking anyone in your path over. No one dead, you got there faster. :P The idea was kind of like the 'good guy' type of pirate. As in, fighting marines is fine, they're enemies after all. Other pirates too, if need be. And hey, who wouldn't steal to *ahem* "afford something to eat." But keep civilians friendly so the whole town doesn't cast you out the moment you arrive. Something like that. I guess it's hard to explain...sorry. ^^;; A more gritty, realistic pirate rp is fine too, since it's with you. But still, there's superpowers for a reason. :)
