She looked gratefully at Phoebe, who understood a lot more than she'd ever told anyone about her powers. "I think I'll let Phoebe take you." Devika let go of the wheelchair, and stepped toward Phoebe. "I know you haven't been a sister for long. But... as someone who has no siblings, you're the type of person I think of when people say 'sister'. Kind, understanding, and gentle. Also, not afraid to kick butt on behalf of your sibling." She inhaled slowly and braced herself, then put out her hand. It was rare that she'd shake anyone's hand, even with gloves. Phoebe had earned her respect, though. -- Kijani stared back and forth between them, then poked Anthony in the chest. "Why? Why did you do that, huh? Nevermind how you knew in the first place, why?! Why didn't you just let me die?!" The poking was getting a bit rougher, and at the last sentence she thumped him with her fist. "There's nothing left for you, Anthony! There's no profit here, nothing of benefit! It's gone, it's all gone, so why the hell did you even bother?"

"Ready to go?" she asked. Makoto's eyes still looked irritated but she was recovering from the surprise well. The brief time in the bathroom and compassion from Katherin helped a lot.

Katherin smiled her thanks. She could have gone to her room in a towel. It was a girl's dorm after all. But that would have been awkward. So she appreciated Makoto's generosity. She selected a light pair of pants in a dark green color and a short sleeved blouse in a light blue color. "A little fancy for my tastes. But their comfortable." She turned to Makoto. "I am ready. I wonder if my group will tackle Mimic next. I kind of hope not. After yesterday Im not sure that Im ready to face him even with friends backing me up."

"Pish posh apple sauce...." Reinhardt said flicking his hand back and forth with a smile on his face,"I will be see you soon..." He added walking away moving to another room so Kageura would not see him just yet.

Crossing her arms Kagerou continued to sense the young man's position without moving herself. This was something that very few understood about her. Most of the time it was a moot point, but once she identified someone she could keep track of them through most of the facility. Some of the staff might know she could do it, but a select few actually knew how.

After the punch, Anthony gently takes hold of Kijani's hands and place them in her lap, then releases them quickly. "Why didn't I just let you die?" Anthony repeats incredulously. He then gives a small smile as he continues "And allow the world to be robbed of such a unique individual? I wouldn't dare." The smile fades and he gives Connor while wondering briefly, "Will this be the comment that sets off young Mr. Stark? Let's hope not. And as for Ms. Ryane, hopefully this does the trick." Anthony maintains eye contact with Kijani while saying with the utmost sincerity,"Ms. Ryane, I know that you have an extremely difficult time believing that the people around you aren't just trying to use or manipulate you into doing as they desire, and that's understandable given your past. I know you're probably going to assume that I'm lying when I say this, but I truly care about you Kijani. Not as Mr. Stark does and maybe not even like your friends, but the fact remains that I care very much what happens to you and I don't want you to go through unnecessary suffering." Ben looks around quickly as he begins to hear a voice in his head. "Alright, who the hell is this? And I'm warning you, don't lie to me or screw with me. If you do, things may not work out so well for you when I find you."

"I did find a number of artifacts and weapons during my journey one in particular I would like you to take a look at later when you have the opportunity. It's nothing critical that needs immediate attention." He mentioned finishing his sandwich and balling up the wrapping in his hand. @floodtalon As Lee was led to Flood's little hideout and seated himself in front of the desk he could not help but sigh. "Really...really?" He said with half lidded eyes. "I know the old gun under the desk trick Flood....all I have is my staff and I think we both know I couldn't permantely harm you if I wanted to." He said shaking his head slightly as he reached into his coat. "Besides you shoot me then there goes a big opportunity." Lee said pulling out a folded up piece of paper and handing it to Flood. "On that piece of paper is a list of individuals who have taken to forming a small student gang slash crime ring. Now pretty minor stuff they are doing around here, including such as beating students down, stealing lunch money, and even stealing numerous valuable possessions. Now its too dangerous to keep any of that stuff here with the staff, so instead....they move it off campus." he revealed.

Phoebe smiled, and took Devika's hand, giving it a quick shake, and then out of respect for Devika's abilities, she removed her hand. She doubted the gloves fully worked, and wondered at the torment of continually feeling others emotions. It was hard enough feeling her own. But others? "Thank you" she said, before going kver to Nick. She ruffled his hair without any thought, before grabbing the wheelchairs handles ____________ Connor stayed silent, having said all he could, but also because he wanted to know what Anthony said. He picked up the 'unnessacary suffering', and frowned. Did that mean that in otherwords, if Anthony could use suffering for his own gain, that wasn't unessacary? He didn't want to think about that, and hoped Kijani didn't pick that up as well

Finally, she spoke, her voice initially so quiet that it was barely audible. "So... tell me, then. Which part of my suffering was the necessary part?" Yes, she had heard it, and she was in no mood for semantics. At least her voice seemed to be gaining strength. "Was it when you drugged me? Left me powerless, but conscious, so I could feel every minute of fear? Or when I was chained up in the truck, spending every second kicking myself for being dumb enough to think someone was on my side? Oh, wait, maybe it was when I got restrained to a table and told that my own mother wanted to abort me, that I was a mistake from the moment of my conception?" She was shaking now. "Unfortunately, the sleeping tablets failed to wipe out my mind. I'm not an idiot, Anthony. I can still see you weighing, calculating every word before you speak it. Even if you do care about me, somewhere in your mind, your words aren't real." She chuckled, even her voice trembling now. "The only time you've been anything approaching honest was when you first came in. You had your mask on tight, but I was looking at your eyes. You looked like you wanted nothing more than to scream at me, to shake me and ask me what the hell I thought I was doing." Her head dropped. She would have been crying again, but there wasn't anything left. "You didn't do that, though. Every word out of your mouth has been grade-A, Luthor approved, gold plated bullshit." She stared him dead in the face. "I grew up the same as you. I know how to lie with the beauty of an opera. I know how to sound SO honest that people will eat the stories from my lips like candy. You're doing that to me now, and you're expecting me to swallow it whole? You're telling me that I'm important while you speak to me in the same voice that you used poisoning me?" She let that statement hang, and then lifted her chin, the faintest spark of her dead pride in her eyes. "Tell me the truth. Tell me the fucking TRUTH, or I never want to see you cast a fucking shadow near me again. You've got one chance, or I'm done with you." She had nothing left to lose. Cutting Anthony out would be as easy as burning paper.

Anthony stands, eyes ablaze with anger at being spoken to so harshly by a mere teenager. He speaks, a quiet fury causing the words to rapidly fly from his lips, "I tire of this conversation Ms. Ryane. If you're so intent on believing that everyone despises and wants to use you, so be it. I led you to the truth about your kidnapping, which you wanted, by the way. I ensured that once you had that information, you returned with your life. I've given you the chance to see how ruthless you sometimes must be in order to thrive in today's world. When you gave up on yourself, I read between the lines and sent help. The reason I don't share the entirety of my plans with anyone is because I think on a completely different level than literally every other non-omniscient being in existence. No one could understand my thought process." He begins to leave the room but stops just short of the door and finishes, "If I didn't think you were important, I would have let you died. If you don't want to see me again, then very well. Anthony Luthor never begs for, nor requires the attention of anyone." Anthony then coldly tells Connor, "She's your responsibility now, I'm done." Without another word, he quickly leaves and begins walking toward Bruce Wayne's office.

While the spiel was going on Kagerou kind of lost interest. While Anthony probably wasn't wrong about his level of intelligence his rant lacked the compassion he seemed to be showing before. And Kijani's description of past event sounded pretty damning. Perhaps he would have been better quitting while he was ahead. No matter. Once he left she shut the door and shook her head. "Yep, he's a Luthor alright. Don't need any sixth sense to tell that." Potentially having drawn attention to herself the woman expected questions to pop up shortly. If not for all this extra commotion she would have kept her distance for a while. That young man seemed to draw a lot of attention. Sighing slightly she waited for it to start.

@knight125 Kijani listened, most of her face impassive. But her eyes showed more life than they had since she'd woken up alive. Anthony had been upset with her. He wasn't the type to yell- you didn't need to be loud to dominate an argument. But she recalled, very distantly, but enough, the same level of hidden fury when he'd executed his father's look-alike. Right before things had gone to hell for her, he'd been very bothered when the fake had said that Anthony's birth was an important achievement. A weak chuckle escaped her lips. He was finally honest with her for once, and then he was done? That was more than she'd asked for, and yet, exactly what she needed to hear. Curling up and pressing her cheek against the pillow, she gently held Connor's hand. "Connor, I'm a total bitch. I hope you know that. I'm going to feel guilty about holding you back for a long time." She raised it to her lips and kissed it, hoping her dry, cracked mouth wouldn't bother him too much. "I love you, even though it's probably the worst thing I could do for you. We've got to talk soon. Just us." She cast a glance at the strange woman in the room, whose name she wasn't sure she'd even heard. "If Anthony hasn't blocked your number... thank him for me? He was upset, but that was the most real he's been since he got here." She smiled meekly. "Go to class, will you? I don't think they're going to leave me by myself." A sigh escaped her. "I hope they don't, anyway. Honestly, I'm still not sure I should be here, and yet I'm sane enough to know that I should be worried about that line of thinking."

Reinhardt came out of the shadows behind Anthony following behind him before finally speaking,"I don't know why you talk to such ugly people...they have nothing intelligible to say..." He said walking behind of Anthony.He knew this would get his attention and Anthony knew who was speaking for they had worked together in the past. --------------------------------------------- "Thank you..." Nicholas communicated to Phoebe giggling a little like a child but over all felt a little sad to not have Devika wheel him around,His next class was Hero/Villain History his personal favorite class since he got to lean about the many villains before him along with the heroes but the villains were his favorite to read.

Who knows, you might have some Deus ex machina sword that stops healing factors, or something dumb along those lines." He replied as he kept a hand on the gun and looked at the names. "I know some of these people. They've gone after me in an attempt to mug me. A poor decision on their parts." Some names stood out to him, others not so much. Some he didn't even know about, which was very surprising. "I must say, you work fast. Some of these people I wouldn't even think of, they're model students." He took his hand off the gun as he grabbed the paper. "What's your plan? I know you have one, you're not a person who's caught off guard easily. Me, I'm more of a 'Point and release' man. I can improvise and that's as far as planning goes."

He sighed softly, and looked to Kijani as she spoke. Connor just smiled. "You know, only a few hours ago my father said that I would surpass him, perhaps sooner then either of us would like. And it's because of you, Kijani. I rather think that's the opposite of "holding back"." He too spared a glance for Kagerou. Despite the fact she had said she would be helpful, she hadn't done much but look threatening to those that had tried to come in. He rose slowly, leaning over slightly and kissing Kijani on the top of her head. "You are not the worst thing to happen to me, my dear, but the best" he smiled once more. "I'll go to class, but I'll be back soon" ---- Phoebe smiled, saying goodbye to Devika, and moving Nickolas's wheelchair, "is everything alright?" She asked him, hoping that everything had been sorted out between the two. ------ Bruce was, once more, in his office. Which was a little bit worse for wear ol after the mornings activities. He was well aware of the fact that Anthony Luther had re-entered the school, and was currently waiting for the young man to appear.

"I'm sure you will do fine. If nothing else you will do better than I did!" Makoto assured. She mused over the idea of practicing her powers at some point. The week had yet to be out so she had time. Maybe she could practice a bit while the next group faced Mimic. Makoto hoped that he wouldn't be completely out of commission after class today. She really wanted to ask him about her powers. A thought struck Makoto as the girls left her dorm room."If you don't mind me asking, what have you learned to do with your powers so far?" she asked, hoping then to provide suggestions or support for her friend.

@Mistress Dizzy Seeing as they both acknowledged her presence she relaxed a bit and stepped forward. She didn't look much older than Kijani which probably made her introduction sound slightly odd. "I should probably introduce myself. My name is Kagerou Rotusu, I'm a returning instructor for the Academy." Offering a hand to Kijani she didn't expect it to be returned but she went with the gesture anyway. "I'm sorry if it looked like I was just lurking in a corner. I didn't think it would be appropriate to interrupt something so personal. Had I known the history you had..." The sentence trailed off. Letting Anthony stay was a mistake on her part. Though it did seem to have produced some good from it. Perhaps she should get more info from Bruce on the current circumstances. That would have to wait for another time. Looking to Connor she reassured him. "I'll stay with her while you're in class. I'll be more careful about things from here on. If you're both okay with it." She wanted their input. It always made things easier in the long run if people felt they had a choice. Which really they did. If she had to she would wait outside the door. Between her various abilities she could "see" everything going on from there anyhow.
