"Supper is serves. The first course is soup." the butler announced. Several maids appeared. They set a bowl of tomato soup in front of each of them. "The game will begin sometime between now and the end of the meal. You are encouraged to work together but it is not a requirement. The rules are that you may not leave the house. Doing so will end your chances of winning the prize. You are allowed to use any method to get the information you need to solve the case except torture. You are not allowed to harm anyone in the mansion. You mist be able to probe your theory."

"Thank you." Mocha quietly showed the maids her gratitude as they set down the soup. She smiled as she caught the scent of it; it smelled absolutely amazing. It was also wonderful that she wouldn't have to worry too much about any creatures that might have gone into it. While she could deal with most foods that she came across during her time here so far, she couldn't even think about eating meat without feeling queasy. It probably wouldn't be surprising to others considering what she was, though. The ears would probably have clued someone in.

As she took a taste of the soup, the rabbit-eared girl carefully considered the butler's directions. So they couldn't be hurt by each other while they were there? That was good. She probably had nothing to fear from the others, then. Would they all want to work together, though? She glanced over at the other people at the table. "Is anyone particularly set on working alone? I wouldn't mind working with a group..."

Jade entered the room behind the rest of the group, taking a seat close to but not directly next to the rabbit girl. She was pleased to find that there was enough space at the table for her to have an empty seat on either side of her. Not that she had any plans in revealing her wings, Jade preferred to have the space for them to stretch out in case she felt the need to, but for the time being they remained tattooed to her back. Waiting in silence until the food was served, Jade let her attention wander, skipping from the girl to the boys, taking note of as much information as she could.

Her eyes slid over to the delicate girl as the soup was placed before them, an intrigued smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "I, for one, support the idea of working together. Considering the company we're in." Jade looked right at the boy known as Okori before returning her gaze to her bowl. "Pardon my intrusion, but you wouldn't happen to be a Lunar Rabbit... would you?" Jade smiled at the girl warmly, doing her best not to stare. "It's just I haven't had the chance to meet one in person before, so I wasn't sure." She was slightly disappointed in herself for not being able to hold back her questions any longer, but she knew she wasn't going to be able to hold out forever. "I haven't introduced myself yet, have I? That's incredibly rude of me. My name is Jadaria, but feel free to call me Jade. It is a pleasure to meet you."

Okori looked at Jade as she directed her stare to him. He let out a sigh. Let me guess, everyone thinks I am going to be a murder or something like that because I am A Kitsune, Great. Not that I care in the least anyways. He quickly gulped down the food. He looked over at Mocha. "Well, I like the Idea of working together however-" Okori stood up from his seat. "That would make things seem less interesting, now wouldn't it?" He walked out of the Dinning Room, and began scouting the Manors, interface, and structure.

Mocha's eyes widened in slight alarm, but she calmed down slightly as she realized that the other girl probably meant no harm by it. Right? "Um...yes, that's right. I-I'm Mocha, and it's nice to meet you, as well, Miss Jade." The girl's ears lowered a bit as she shrank into herself slightly. "I'm sorry...a lot of creatures tend to prey on us when we leave our home, so it's often difficult to find us...there are a lot of weird rumors about our kind even on Earth, it seems." She looked down at her soup and stirred it around a bit. "Even humans seem to have strange ideas about us sometimes."

"W-would it really...?" Mocha didn't really understand what the boy meant by the comment. Did he seem a bit upset? Maybe he had felt insulted before... She watched as he stood up from the table, not really sure what else to say. She did feel kind of bad, though...

Zack carefully studied the people gathered around the table. They were all so different. He was very curious about each of them. Who were they? Why were they here? Could he trust them? He hoped so but it was hard to say he would have wait and see. He started eating the soup.

The other boy, the one who was still at the table, seemed to be pretty quiet to the long-eared girl. Curious, she looked over in his direction to see him eating the soup. "Do you think that you will be working alone, as well? Or would you also like to work in a group?"

"I am willing to try working as a group." Zack answered. As he finished his soup. "IF we're going to do that we should all get to know each other a little. My name is Zachary. Please call me Zack. I am a shapeshifter. I can transform into a koala. I'm very agile and a good climber."

"It's nice to meet you, Zack. I'm Mocha." The quiet girl attempted a small smile, happy that he seemed friendly. "Um...I'm a l-lunar rabbit. There aren't normally a lot of us here, but here I am, I guess. I...ah...I can use the moon's power, but I'm mostly good with first aid and such." She took another sip of her soup when she finished the introduction, not wanting to have it cleared before she could finish it.

Just then, the doors opened and a guy, who actually seemed human, walked in. He had crimson hair and eyes, and his hands were covered in bloodstained bandages. "Hope I'm not late for anything."

"No, you haven't missed much at all. We were just introducing ourselves and discussing our options for the game." Jade smiled and motioned to the empty seats around the table. "We'd love for you to join us." Nodding a hello, she turned her attention to shapeshifter Zach. "I'm so very pleased to be in such interesting company. I am Jadaria, but I would prefer it if you were to call me Jade. I am a gargoyle." Calmly she swallowed another bite of soup before continuing. "My kind don't come out very often either, but that Is because we tend to have our noses buried in study. I guess you could say my skills consist of remembering information and hiding in plain sight, not very useful but not completely useless. What about you, stranger? You're presence peeks my interest, why don't you share a little about yourself?"

"Those sound like very useful skills to me, Miss. Being able to hide well is always a good thing, I think. And I can't even remember how often I forget important information, even if it's something simple." She smiled slightly at the small joke before turning to the boy who had just entered the room. "Hello, my name is Mocha. Ah! Your hands...are they alright? I can help i-if you need it."

Lazar had made a few errors in judgment while traveling to the castle, the first being not knowing where he was heading. When he finally arrived, as late as he was, he figured that the game's host had accounted for this. He walked in, forgetting to pull the hood on his black robe off, and noted the luggage in the front hall. That's right... it's a few days here. Not like I need anything. Just the 60 of them. He noticed an enticing aroma coming from further inside the castle walls and walked that way arriving in the dining hall. There were a few other contestants in here; a horned girl, a girl with rabbit ears and a red haired boy. "I do hope the game begins soon." Lazar said arbitrarily, taking a seat near the three of them. He set his lantern down next to the chair and began to eat.

He shook his head. "They're fine. I just needed to have my own blood on the bandages because of my powers," he said. "I can't touch any other living beings with my bare hands or they'll instantly be turned into a large block of stone."

Jade eyed the bandaged hands curiously, wondering if such a curse would even effect her kind. Gargoyles were known for their ability to turn to stone creatures, though for her it wasn't for camouflage but a natural reflex should she find herself dangling between life and death. Resisting the urge to slide across the table to touch the newcomer's hands, Jade busied herself with the second course of their meal, keeping her enchanting eyes down toward the table.

James went over and sat at the table. He then slowly unwrapped his hands. "Oh, and also, if I ever need a weapon, then I can make a sort of stone armor and claws." He rubbed his right hand across his left, then his left hand was covered in a stone clawed gauntlet with a symbol on the back that was glowing green.

Zack studied the new arrival's their abilities could be helpful or deadly. Suddenly the lights in the house went out. He listened carefully. Had somebody moved? He smelled smoke. Was that from the fireplace? He hadn't noticed it before so he wasn't sure. His eye sight wasn't good in the dark. He wondered if any of the others could see what was going on. He felt a breeze pass him by. Where had the breeze come from there were no windows in the dinning room. And why did the breeze smell of lilacs?

Mocha stared curiously at the man with the bandaged hands, wondering about the power he had just mentioned. It was certainly an interesting one. I wonder if there's a medicine that could do anything for petrification... She jumped when the lights went out, not expecting the room to go dark so suddenly. Her vision was alright in the dark, but the quick change rendered her almost blind for a bit without time to adjust properly. What was going on? Was that smoke? Did something catch on fire?

In her surprise, she unknowingly grabbed onto someone, but she couldn't register who at the moment. Is this the beginning of the game? That's got to be it, this is just created atmosphere, right?

Zack was trying not to panic. He normally considered himself a calm rational person. But this situation was like nothing he had experienced before. He felt like he was surrounded by unseen beings. Suddenly a shot boomed in the silence. Had someob been shot? Had the game begun? This wasn't what he had imagined the game would be like. "Is everyone alright?"
