"First, I want you to go to the Jedi Temple. We will catch them off balance. Do what must be done, Lord Vader. Do not hesitate; show no mercy."
―Darth Sidious

A Dark Shadow fell over the Jedi Temple, as a Venator Star Destroyer cruised over head. A recent sight as of late however what was odd was that it held position above the temple. Unmoving from its position, many of the Jedi including younglings moved towards viewports trying to figure out what was wrong, in the Temple Library Jocasta Nu sensed the disturbance and sent her Padawan deep into the bowels of the city. Not everyone would be so lucky.

Clone troopers began scaling the stairway up to the front of the temple, led by a cloaked figure who radiated off anger and hatred. However what truly surprised those watching as when gatemaster Jurokk moved to intercept the dark figure there was a spark of recognition before a lightsaber flashed out from underneath the forms robes and sliced gatemaster Jurrock in half, before the body had even fallen to the ground the temple began to shake as it came under fire, the Jedi Temple. Home to the Jedi for thousands of years was under attack.

By the very Republic they swore to protect.
This roleplay will situate around the Jedi Temple and those attempting to escape Operation Knigthfall. It will be tough going and very action based around the start, then once we have escaped Coruscant and any pursuers we will formulate a plan IC on where to go what to do. Whether we'll become smugglers, pirates, rebels, shutaways I'll have something for us to do in either case.
Rules

1. You can die, and you will die if you act foolishly. I.E. Charging the Clones head on when they attack the temple.
2. I am the GM, my word is law.
3. The usual no metagaming/powergaming stuff.
4. Keep everything PG, kiss if you want to but anything other than that (If your character is off appropriate age ofc) does not happen in this thread.
5. Language as well, try to avoid real life swear words there are plenty of Star Wars variations.
6. Have fun.
In terms of Character Creation

Keep things balanced, I'm putting this here before the CS in hopes you read it. If you're a Padawan of 14 years old and know a fair few force abilities you aren't going to be as good in lightsaber combat and vice versa. Keep things balanced.

Quick question, if my planned character's homeworld is just some random planet in some random area, could I just make up the name and place? Or would I have to search for a canon location?

I don't see why you wouldn't be going with an established world, I mean if you're going human there are plenty of planets to chose from. If you're going alien the same, most species despite having home worlds had people all over the galaxy.

It makes little difference it's just a tidbit I want for nefarious reasons. If you want help choosing a planet just ask.

It's early in the morning for me, I'm sure I'll be able to make it a canon world somehow. Thanks for the offer though, I just need the brain to warm up, and the random backwater world was the first thing that came to mind.

Oh there's plenty of those. I mean Tattooine is a backwater, Ryloth, Barab. Utapau, Kessel and these are just the ones to come off the top of my head. Really any planet in the outer rim that isn't on a major trade route is classed as a backwater.

One thing, edited it to Form I, I mixed up and had it at Form III but it's actually form I. I knew it was Shii-cho but couldn't be bothered searching for what "Form" it was :P

Well I'm more than glad to be back! A real shame when the Guild shut down :/ But ah well, better late than never. I'll probably remake the same character I had before, with a few tweaks here or there. Expect a CS up by tonight!

Trying to remember what character you had rofl.

In the original I had a Barabel. I'm not quite sure if I'll go down that route again.

Name: Knight Alecar Drey
Gender: Male
Species: Miraluka
Age: 31
Homeworld: Alpheridies

Appearance:

Personality: Deliberative, thoughtful, slightly cautious, humble, well-read, and polite, Alecar is thought of by many to be somewhat of a sage; his intrinsic connection to The Force, coupled with a pensive, reflective demeanor make him a favorite of Initiates and Padawans alike to seek out when in need of guidance and teaching. A reverent devotee of the Unifying Force, Alecar spends many hours a day meditating, finding that the Force has a way of gaining clear insight and dissipating self-doubt. Despite his spiritual connection and focus, Alecar also shows an innate love of history, having spent much of his time as an Initiate and Padawan in the Temple Archives; taking especial interest in The Old Republic, and Je'daii Order. Alecar is also known for his kindhearted disposition and willingness to help others, and will drop whatever it is he is doing when someone comes to him for help or counsel.

Flaws: Though a good-natured man who displays many good characteristics of a Jedi, Alecar nevertheless has a few flaws of his own. Firstly, his strong belief in The Unifying Force as opposed to the more mainstream Living Force inclines him to believe in neither a Light or a Dark Side, but the Force as a single entity. Because of this, he has no inhibitions against studying and even practicing what are considered 'Dark Side techniques' or learning more about the Sith. Despite all this, Alecar strives to keep balance, and not lean too far either in the Light or Dark side. Secondly, Alecar does not believe in the Order's creed that emotions should be suppressed, believing that emotions help promote individuality and creativity. Because of this, Alecar displays more sincere emotion as opposed to other Jedi, though he keeps a calm and collected demeanor at most times. Lastly, Alecar does not believe that a Jedi should be forbidden from romantic relationships, as love can be experienced without strong passion or jealousy and can strengthen both individuals in said relationship. While Alecar does not outspokenly condone romantic behavior in the Order, he will not condemn it either.

Skills: Despite extensively studying the seven forms of lightsaber combat, Alecar has trained exclusively in Form VI: Niman, preferring the balanced and relaxed style as opposed to more aggressive forms such as Ataru or Shien/Djem-So. However he has also dabbled slightly in Soresu for blaster deflection, the basics of Shii-Cho and the study of Makashi (while preferring to stick to Niman). Though not a highly-trained combatant, Alecar's naturally heightened reflexes and mastery of the Force make him a dangerous opponent, though there are times he will not even draw his saber, let alone use it. In regards to other skills, Alecar is an excellent mediator, his approachable and friendly personality, coupled with a willingness to see from other's perspectives and lack of bias make him a moderated negotiator. Perhaps Alecar's greatest skill, however, is his skill in intellectual pursuits. Having spent hours in the Temple Library throughout his life, Alecar exhibits a vast array of knowledge in various topics, such as history, medicine, linguistics, astronomy, religion, and intergalactic politics.

Equipment: Alecar carries little on his person aside from his robes, a green-hued lightsaber, and a personal holocron.

Force Abilities: Sacrificing time that could be spent studying martial arts, Alecar's skill really displays itself when it comes to matters of the Force. Born with the ability of Force Sight, Alecar is not limited by the normal perception of sight, and can see through walls and doors, see through the dark, detect an individual's Force aura, and detect objects around him; the only limitation(s) being that he cannot perceive color or holograms, and that one's personal appearance is difficult for him to see closely. Besides this, Alecar displays a great amount of skill in Force Sense, his skill great enough that it is incredibly difficult, if not impossible to sneak up on, or surprise him. Perhaps Alecar's greatest Force ability, however, is his mastery of Telekinesis. Alecar is so skilled with it, in fact, that not only can he perform nearly every aspect of it (including the darker Force Choke and Force Crush ability), but he can also apply it to different uses as well, including the famed Lightsaber Throw, and levitation, as well as lifting nearly five of the Muntuur stones in the Jedi Temple. Besides these powers, he is also skilled in Force Jump, Force Deflection, and Force Lightning (the latter skill only rarely used).

Personal History: Alecar's life started out very similar to other Jedi's. He was born on the Miraluka's adopted homeworld of Alpheridies with his family line being heavily involved in the Miralukan Luka Sene. Because of this, Alecar displayed a high amount of Force-Sensitivity, and was prompted by the Jedi Watchman there to be taken to Coruscant for training. Though his father, a prominent member of the Luka Sene, felt his son should remain and learn from them, he eventually relinquished, and Alecar was taken to Coruscant.

Practically being raised at the Temple, Alecar had little memory of his family back home except for a single wood pendant around his neck that his mother sent as a parting memento. This pendant served as a tether for him, reminding him of the life back home. The Masters of the Temple were slightly concerned by this, but found Alecar still displayed the traits to make a good Jedi. When the time came for his Initiate Trials, Alecar quickly memorized the Jedi Code, and constructed his lightsaber, but found himself lacking when it came time for the annual Jedi Temple Apprentice Tournament. Alecar was not strong like the other Initiate's, or very skilled when it came to swordfighting, and was ill-prepared for when the fateful day came. True to his thinking, he was defeated early on in the tournament, and many a Knight looked to the other, more promising Initiates...except for one. An Ithorian Jedi Master by the name of Goza Paba approached the young Miraluka, and noted the Force sensitivity within him; finding that spark, and chose him as a Padawan.

Goza Paba shared the Ithorian's philosophy of peace and love of nature, enforcing serenity and meditation into Alecar, who could only look on with scholarly attention, absorbing as much information as he possibly could. The two of them formed a close father-son relationship, with Paba's influence making Alecar more peaceful and kind, as well as honing his connection to the Force.

Not much for action, the two of them would instead spend their time journeying to various planets either to study their history, or serve as ambassadors, representatives, and diplomats. Goza Paba was a natural speaker, and his abilities in diplomacy were picked up by his Padawan to use for the future.

When not on missions, the two of them would spend hours studying in the Temple Library together, with the Padawan learning much in the way of Force techniques and history, becoming deeply connected to the Force as a result, though this caused his martial skill to atrophy as well. As the years past, it came time for Alecar to take the Knight's Trial and be christened a full Knight of the Jedi Order. Fearful a similar result as the Initiate Trials would occur, Alecar spent hours shutting out everyone around him, even his own master, meditating alone in his quarters.

When the day came, Alecar passed his trials with little issue, though he lost the wooden pendant given to him during the Trial of the Flesh, causing him great loss as he now had no connection to his homeworld or family. Now fully christened a Knight, Alecar had to deal with the painful separation of Master and Padawan, having to let Goza Paba go. The farewell was a heartfelt one, and Alecar swore to keep his master's teachings in memory, and apply it to his own studies. Currently, Alecar spends his days at the Temple Library, offering good counsel to those who seek it.

Additional Info: Alecar has a strong affinity for tea, and can be found drinking it more likely than not.

Name:
Crim Drayson

Age:
30

Gender:
Male

Species:
Human

Level:
Master

Class:
Consular

Force Abilities:
Force Speed
Telekenesis
Force Sense
Mind Trick
Force Healing
Force Jump
Force Barrier
Pyrokinesis
Force Sight
Force Stasis
Battle Meditation

Non-Force Related Skills:
Since his inception into the Jedi Order, Crim has studied the history of the Jedi, Sith, and the Force. He holds an intrinsic knowledge over all that pertains to history and is known as a scholar of such. Dabbling in diplomacy and the political aspects of the galaxy sparked an interest in the Jedi standing within the Galaxy. Though Crim is not unlike his brethren, taking up an adequate knowledge in hand to hand.

Lightsaber Forms:
Form III: Soresu
Jar’Kai
Form VIII: Jun-Sai - Where Vapaad is direct and staccato, Jun-Sai is circular and flowing. The lightsaber, as well as the Jedi wielding it, is treated as a total weapon. An opponent of a Jun-Sai user can face not only the blade of a lightsaber, but strikes from its hilt, punches, kicks, elbows, knees, and head butts.

With the Force guiding the user's movements, the graceful precision of Makashi and the acrobatic movements of Ataru combine to create a dance-like whirlwind of death. The duelist moves his body just out of reach of his opponent's attacks while positioning his counter-attacks at the most unprotected targets of his enemy. By sinking deeply into the Force, the Jun-Sai duelist can anticipate his opponents movements, allowing him to block attacks before they happen.

One similarity to Vapaad is the use of emotions to power the style. Unlike Vapaad, instead of tapping into the feelings of enjoyment combat brings, the Jun-Sai duelist focuses feelings of determination. Fear, anger, and doubt are compressed into a tight ball in the pit of the duelist's stomach, and forged into an absolute Will to defeat the enemy. When facing a Jun-Sai master, it is said that one's life is measured in only seconds after his Lightsaber is activated.

Lightsaber hilt and colour:
Orange Lightsaber

Weapons:
N/A

Other Equipment:
Crim carries quite a few items around that symbolizes his heart, family, and his love of the past. These items include vibroblades attached to his hip in the shape of wakizashi styled in the ancient samurai culture, a pouch that holds a trinket of his mother, and most sentimentally is the kabuki mask constructed specifically by a padawan that he once trained alongside. A commlink is on his person at all times to keep in contact with his allies.

History:
A product of two Jedi Knights, Crim was born in the very temple that his parents had grown up in and fallen in love. Crim was a by-product of an Echani Mother Seriana, and Korun Father Teilo Drayson which gave the newborn a skin tone brighter then that of a full blood Korun but darker than a full blood Echani. Both Knights were reprimanded by the Order for breaking Jedi Law and conceiving a child that could influence their emotions, thereby bringing them to the Dark Side if unlucky. Ban would not be the punishment doled out to the couple as they held a deep connection to the Order and were allowed to raise their force sensitive child like others before them. Force Sensitivity was found to exist in the young child around his early years near the first birthday. While not outstanding by any means, Crim was noted for having a slightly higher count then his own father.

By the time that the toddler could comprehend the ability to walk and learn, he was enrolled into the Jedi Academy.within the clan of the Falsi. Training and study was the name of the game whilst in the academy. Teachings of the Jedi spurned an interest in history and standing within Crim; this also helped a garner a friendship in a Nikto by the name Gau-Rin. Gau-Rin was a more eager child to learn the physical side of the Force and Jedi teachings. The boys did not agree on everything, subsequently starting a chain reaction that would lead all the way to their adulthood. Several years of Academy training could only prepare Crim for the inevitable

Initiate Trials came swift upon the younglings. Crim and Gau-Rin were ecstatic to finally engage in the trials that would mark them as padawans. The trials were not truly difficult as Crim has once thought they would be. Studying had led him to recite the Jedi Code like he was just taking a breath. Construction of the lightsaber came to him after he was gifted an orange crystal by his mother. Images flooded his mind while he crafted the lightsaber that would guide his hand for many years. A great master known as Mace Windu took a deep interest in the initiate and watched intently on how Crim would handle the final test; a test to survey the dark side. Crim was placed in-front of Gau-Rin. He could feel the dark side within Gau-Rin's aggression but, there was a glimmer of hope, a light that could be salvaged into a true Jedi. The test came to it's completion and both boys' graduated to Padawan.

Mace Windu took Crim under his wing. Training with Mace Windu was an astonishing process. A master Jedi of Mace’s caliber could almost instantly tell just how to work with Crim. He saw the weaknesses and strengths of his padawan, in turn helping the boy create a form parallel to that of Vaapad. Crim’s trained heavily alongside another human padawan. The padawan became close with Crim until several years later when he failed a test given to him and showed how close to the Dark Side he actually was. Before the Padawan left, he gifted Crim with the very mask that Crim would keep for many years.

Ten years passed within a blink of an eye. Mace Windu was confident that his final padawan was ready to undertake the Trials of Knighthood. His trials would be different to accomadate his skills and influence their decision. Lately his father and his Padawan Gau-Rin had went missing during an investigation. Crim left with Mace Windu and they took off to the back world planet. Two days passed before the duo was able to track down Seriana and Gau-Rin. Amongst the two was a steep dark energy of the force and the dismembered corpse of Crim’s father. What Mace believed would be Crim’s fall and explosion of emotion...was quite the opposite. Crim possessed a level of calm befitting a true knight. It was Gau-Rin that attacked first and began to battle between the Padawans.

Gau-Rin was truly a force to be reckoned with in dueling whilst Crim was the better with the force. The fight pushed deeper into the psyche of both men. An end came upon Crim’s eyes and face was badly burned by a near miss of the Nikto’s light saber. Seriana proved to be a match for Mace, able to knock him unconsciousness but not kill him. She knew it would bring the the Jedi upon them heavier than those that would seek them for Telio’s death. Serian and Gau-Rin left the scene, leaving Mace and Crim alive. Crim never understood why she left him alive but, he would find out one day if he could. The return to the Jedi Temple brought Crim back up against the council with bandages around his eyes. Despite the failure, the council explained that it did not matter that he had not captured his mother nor old friend but that his skills, calm demeanor, ability to overcome losing his eyes, and his ability to help his master instead of continuing to fight against such overwhelming odds. The rank of Knight was bestowed upon Crim and he would learn that force could allow to do more things then he ever thought possible.

The following years saw the usage of the force to accomadate Crim’s blindness, his assignments, and raise as a Jedi Knight. Nine years passed almost suddenly for Crim. His first padawan was acquired after the first year of being a Knight. Training was just as arduous for the Padawan and Crim. Nine years it took for the Padawan to ascend to Jedi Knight and Crim proving himself during the start of the Clone Wars when he turned 31. At age 32, Crim attained the ranking of Master. A master of the force and his emotions led to becoming a rank that not many attained at such an age. Only the time would tell now if Crim would become a legend or a faded memory.

Don't care if I accepted this one before, as I recognize it kinda.

1) Master at 30, I can kinda live with. Though nowhere near the council level.
2) Remove this "Class" thing. Follow the format on the OP please.
3) Far too many abilities, not to mention two of them are rare abilities.
4) Samurai? What are they? Are they a type of food? Also too sentimental for a Jedi Master.
5) No Jedi Lovers in this time period. No-No Nope. Not son of two Jedi. Only Jedi allowed to produce offspring were off extinct races or races with peculiar reproductive systems.
6) How doth one obtain such a deep connection to the Order? It wouldn't be a family link.
7) Jedi are required to find their own crystal for their lightsaber, it's part of the trials. Such has been canon for this era for a long time.
8) Well no to Mace Windu taking an interest.
9) Initiate trials are simple, Jedi Code and understanding, crystal and lightsaber, basic combative test.
10) Dark Jedi who managed to beat Mace Windu and his Padawan wouldn't just be left alone.
11) Dark Jedi don't typically show mercy.
12) Eyes can be healed/replaced by either transplant or cybernetics
13) There'd be another trial to go through however right now I can't remember the different parts of the Trials of Knighthood. However I know that one of them is very self reflective that few people ever discuss.
14) So he's 32 at the end of his history but at the start of the sheet he's 30.

Those are my major points.

Just remember a) Master is a trial by honour not a first come first served and will only be chosen upon the start of the IC.
b) Follow the template posted on the OC
c) I do not let PCs have prolonged direct contact with canon characters.

If you meet someone in passing, or a secondary character such as the Librarian it's fine. Mace Windu is a bit more important than a secondary.

I personally recommend you try for the remaining Knight position, and if you want to keep going for master I won't consider it unless every point in my list is fixed, anything minor I trust you to sort yourself. I'm not opening this to discussion either, I've done that in the past and just got burned as a result.

1) Master at 30, I can kinda live with. Though nowhere near the council level.

Alright.

2) Remove this "Class" thing. Follow the format on the OP please.

Sure...

3) Far too many abilities, not to mention two of them are rare abilities.

Sure..

4) Samurai? What are they? Are they a type of food? Also too sentimental for a Jedi Master.

I inserted Samurai as a homage to George Lucas inspiration for the Jedi. It doesn't hurt anything.

Lolz Too Sentimental? What?

5) No Jedi Lovers in this time period. No-No Nope. Not son of two Jedi. Only Jedi allowed to produce offspring were off extinct races or races with peculiar reproductive systems.

Sure.

6) How doth one obtain such a deep connection to the Order? It wouldn't be a family link.

It isn't a family link. It's a notion that such masters have been loyal to the Order for years.

7) Jedi are required to find their own crystal for their lightsaber, it's part of the trials. Such has been canon for this era for a long time.

Fine. I don't see the problem so much with that as not every Jedi has or will get the exact same but fine.

8) Well no to Mace Windu taking an interest.

Okay

9) Initiate trials are simple, Jedi Code and understanding, crystal and lightsaber, basic combative test.

The second was not consistent throughout the Order's history. Originally, the test consisted of lightsaber construction using crystals provided by the master. As the Order came into a new era following the Ruusan Reformation, the trial was altered to test self-discipline. Demonstrating competency through meditation or staged lightsaber combat with a hood, this test was not so much a demonstration in skill so much as technique.

^ From the wiki itself. I know how the trials go. Instead of combat, I used meditation.

10) Dark Jedi who managed to beat Mace Windu and his Padawan wouldn't just be left alone.

Except...they can and would be because they are my npcs with their own motives.

11) Dark Jedi don't typically show mercy.1

I guess this wasn't typical.

12) Eyes can be healed/replaced by either transplant or cybernetics

That doesn't mean he has to have them.

13) There'd be another trial to go through however right now I can't remember the different parts of the Trials of Knighthood. However I know that one of them is very self reflective that few people ever discuss.

Trials of Knighthood tend to be different at times depending on the jedi.

14) So he's 32 at the end of his history but at the start of the sheet he's 30.
I missed changing the zero to a two. Oops.

15) I'm not opening this to discussion either, I've done that in the past and just got burned as a result.

I will argue for my character or at least certain points because I got things to back that up and/or just doesn't sit right with me either. Though I'll probably create a whole new character anyway.
