Universe of Origin: None; Ascot was born in transit between two universes.

Personality: Ascot is someone of intense emotions; Anger, Hate, Love, Compassion, all those mix inside him to create a volatile mix, creating a general who, when acting on impulse, gets his troops in tight spots, but who, if kept calm, and with the advice of others, can lead his troops to victory even against impossible odds. A naturally kind person, Ascot can also be thrown into heights of rage when people and causes he is attached to are threatened, meaning that he lapses between predictable and unrpedictable. Nevertheless, he is a man of intense dedication and great charisma, who also has a sense of fun at times.

Abilities/Weapons:

Immortality (Baccano-style) - Any damage done to Ascot knits back together; blood flows back to the wound, severed body parts fly back and reattach themselves, and when burnt, the smoke gathers together to reform the original person. Same for acid or other causes of death. The only way to permanently kill an Immortal like this is 1.) use a weapon that kills Immortals from other universes, or 2.) touch your right hand to another immortal's head, and 'consume' them, taking all their knowledge and skills. However, this immortality also comes with more drawbacks:

1.) You cannot hide your name from another Immortal.

2.) You cannot sign documents in another name.

Restroration Magic (Skyrim) - Ascot can heal peope, cast magical shields, harm the undead, cause undead to flee, and cast runes of poison.

Clarent (Arthurian Legend) - Clarent is, in one universe, the other sword of King Arthur, used for Knighting and Ceremonies. It also has a secret power; the ability to alter prophecies regarding kingship, military victory, and earthly leadership, in order to make Ascot the 'chosen one' of whatever area has an appropriate prophecy.

Backstory: In universes that are aware of one another, trade is common, with said trade being conducted through portals, ships, or both. Ascot Redwing was born on a ship of Merchants that was navigating the worlds, and was raised on said ship. He thus learned the rudiments of economics at a young age, along with many other skills, including History and Literature, as well as Warfare. And thus, he was happy.

Then, on his 13th Birthday, pirates attacked Ascot's family's ship, and killed his entire family, with Ascot being taken to be sold in a pocket dimension built to be a giant slave market. After being subjected to a physical examination, and a less degrading test of his mental faculties, he was 'recruited' to be part of a local, immortal dictator's 'secret project', where young children of high intelligence and physical fitness were to be trained to be part of an 'elite guard'.

However, in order to avoid the usual problems with training Child Soldiers, these 'trainees' were not deployed before they were 18. Instead, they were drilled in martial arts, gun usage, gun maintenance, as well as academic subjects like history and even some science. However, in order to remind them of their status as slaves, they were given explosive collars and sub-dermal chips in order to prevent them from leaving or rebelling.

This life lasted for several years, and once Ascot turned 18, he was thrown into the fires of war, where he, along with the other members of the 'elite guard', fought with exceptional results, killing off 12 people for any one of them lost. This life lasted for six more years, with Ascot ascending to a position of leadership, which caused the immortal dictator to call him into his office one day...and offer him the very thing that made him immortal, upon two conditions:

One, that Ascot help end the dictatorial system that had gripped this part of this specific world, and Two, that he begin by killing him. This is to be done by Ascot drinking the Elixir of Immortality, an 'import' from another universe that this anonymous dictator used, and then placing his right hand on the dictator's head, and 'consuming' him through it. Surprised, Ascot did so, and a transition to democracy ensued.

And, yes, the rest of the Elite Guard went along with this. Either way, after the once-dictatorship was left in reliable hands, Ascot went off to explore the rest of the universe, spending two years as a merchant again, where he found Clarent. Suddenly deciding that he wanted the life of a soldier and leader, as well as an administrator (he learned the appropriate skills by consuming the once-dictator)...

...He spent more years, a century and more, manipulating prophecies, putting himself on top, and then transitioning them towards democracies. That was when the Unified Multiversal Moderation Agency found him, and he was quickly recruited into its ranks, where, whenever military force was needed, Ascot was brought in with whatever troops the UMMA was able to muster beforehand, ready to support those who deserved it.

Right now, however, the war against Shadow Eternity consumes Ascot's thoughts. What do they want? How could the UMMA win? Also, are there any immortals like him around? And, when would he finally be called to the main conflict? He wasn't fool enough to know that he can turn the tide of battle singelhandedly, but every drop in the bucket helps, right? So why hasn't he been called yet?

Either way, he is preparing, and he has also offered to use his contacts in many worlds to increase the number of the United Multiversal Moderation Agency's recruits, just in case they need the manpower. Speaking of the many worlds he travelled in, Ascot also checked on their status, finding that although the worlds he had gone into have had their own problems, the changes he made did a lot of good.

Same for the world where he had gained his immortality; the days of dictatorship in one of its continents were almost forgotten now. But, in a flash of homesickness, Ascot searched for the ruins of the ship that he had been born in, to seek out what he had forgotten about his past. And he found it...and also found out that the pocket dimension that he had been sold in still ran, even 200 years later. So he destroyed it, before continuing to wait for the UMMA's summons.

I think it's time to announce that this RP is officially... at the very least taking a long hiatus with potential to be revived in a new topic at a later date.

I made some bad decisions early on in terms of accepting characters, and probably signed up with too many of my own. On top of that, a whole lot of people have dropped the RP and some have suddenly stopped posting, rendering it nearly impossible to continue.

I'm sorry, but some day this one might come back.
